Who could thought that a literally tank sized overglorified (but often cheaply built) limousines with red cart on the rear, that burn as much as oil tanker that brings fuel for them and cost almost as much as small house (and thats not true since houses are dang expensive) would not sell in society that is suffering from inflation, price of everything skyrocketing and climate crimbling?
They're staving off the inevitable but I'm still with em no matter what, we gone ride this v8 thang out till the end. AND I'M A CHEVY GUY SAYING THIS. #V8FOREVER
The motors and electronics are what sets them apart in regards to the durability over time, especially the 5-cylinder non-turbo models with a manual stick. Extremely reliable and holds up to the Scandinavian weather. I have a S80 2003 2.4 and the most surprising fact is the comfort of the leather seats.
Ford can keep making a niche car and turn a profit if they’re the only ones doing it. Anyone who wants a muscle car of any kind will have to buy either a Mustang or a Corvette. So it’s a sound financial decision. Since the Mustang is the only actual car Ford makes, it’s already a niche product.
That's music to my ears!!! If the general public leaves this segment, perhaps the manufacturers will go back to making trucks for the working man again that we can actually afford!!!🤣🤣🤣
I can tell how young you are because you don't recognize trends. Trucks were so popular then because gas was $1.50 per gallon and people didn't care how much gas they used. Now gas costs 3x what it did then and people are watching what they spend again. It's also why $25,000 Mavericks are selling better than the $75,000 full size. Also 3x the cost of the Maverick. I am guessing that the insurance on the full size is 3x also. Thank Biden/Harris for that
The old Buick nail head 400 was an awesome motor had a lot of character sounded great excellent power curve and beyond that people just been staring at them for years in their cars and they had a soft spot for them. The nail head 400 is gone has been gone forever.
I do remember Ford neutered the Mustang by pulling the V8 engine and putting the electric engine in the car. Now they are going back? Ford forgot where their roots were. It is a muscle car. It's not a battery box. In my opinion, Ford lost this battle before Chevrolet and Dodge.
I foresee ford sales taking a nosedive if what I've read is true about them adding a "feature" where the vehicle will notify the police if it senses you're speeding.
Those trucks are all being killed faster due to the eco standards. They're not getting the oxygen and emissions necessary to run for the price on them.
BTW, my 2018 F350 4X4 6.7L Diesel was $50,000 off the showroom floor. On that day it was overpriced by at least $20,000. No bells or whistles on it. Plain Jane pickup.
They're junk. Bought a new 2018 Ford F350 4X4 6.7L Diesel in 2018. Problems and recalls galore. I don't even like driving it. Just over 5000 miles on it now. My daily driver is a 2014 Ford Escape. Problems and recalls galore. My next new Ford pickup (or Ford anything) will be a 1995 or earlier. Too many reasons to list here.
