Fishing from the surf, kayak, or by boat up and down the California Coast. Striped Bass, Surfperch, Halibut, Salmon, Lingcod, Rockfish, Rainbow Trout, and much more to come! #AvantLink
Where is that here in Australia no one uses electric motors on kayaks for the simple reasons the vibration attracts whites and there’s no shortage of the bastards of thing here
I'M REALLY DISAPPOINTED AT HOW YOU'RE NOT MORE CAREFUL ABOUT PROTECTING YOURSELF FROM BIG SHARKS LIKE THAT... YOU DON'T SLAP THE WATER WITH YOUR PADDLE OR TRY TO SCARE THE SHARK AWAY IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM ❓❓❓❓ WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU YOU❓❓❓❓👎😡 U DON'T DO ANYTHING ❓❓❓ I'M SO DISAPPOINTED I'M GOING TO UNSUBSCRIBE AND NOT WATCH ANY MORE OF YOUR VIDEOS
FYI, T-mobile worked almost everywhere for me. I had the designated phone for the trip, even in the cabin you guys were in, my phone worked. It worked everywhere, even across the channel at Meyers Chuck
Aloha. Worked at Yes Bay Lodge for four seasons. A remote fishing lodge about 50 miles north of Ketchikan. If you’re catching coho, it’s probably raining. We only had 19ft boat, and caught plenty halibut within an hour from the lodge, just had to find a mount. Kings were a little more elusive, but you could catch jacks/feeders. They come into feed and not spawn, usually averaged about 13 pounds. Problem was we fished a certain area with J-plugs between 90-110 ft to get them. Lots of cranking on the downrigger.
You definitely won in catching the most fish. I felt bad for Nick when he lost that big salmon. At least he was a great net-guy.😂 Glad you guys had a good trip. Next time you go to Alaska, you need to catch halibut. This I guy I know caught a 150+ lb halibut. He said landing it almost took their boat down.
Just a little pointer for the next time you might go trolling in Alaska, put the boat in neutral so you don’t worry about the fish shaking the hooks loose. And try to get the downrigger weight out of the water so it is one less issue .
Tanner crab = "snow crab". The dungee was dark because she's ready to molt. (not legal to keep females anyway) We have a saying up here ... "friends don't let friends eat pink salmon." Fuel problems likely caused by water in fuel. I add HEET every time I put gas in boat. Rain is very frequent here in Southeast AK, you were in the middle of the Tongass forest, North America's largest remaining temperate rain forest.
5 days of adventure can't beat that. One thing for sure there was no shortage of fish. The crabs and shrimp were a definite bonus. Very glad you were able to get this bucket list Alaskan trip recorded for us to enjoy. Maybe you'll get to do an Alaskan Halibut trip sometime. Great video Adam. Thanks for taking us along 👍👍
and yup. mosquitoes to spare. We actually made full helmets out of sail nylon with screen faces to keep them out. worked a treat. very light, durable, breathable, but mossies unable to penetrate. WAYY better than spraying chems on our faces all the time. Looked like displaced fencers out for a fish... but who cares.
