Top day for it mate. All I got was small pinkies flathead. My doughter was so happy that she could hear herself on the video but got so embarrassed at her seagull impersonation, she couldn't stop laughing 😂.
@CanPacificFishing i think your better off heading down the coast catching those big salmon. Inner bay won't kick off till mid October when the water temps warm up and the snapper move in. I hear squid at Queenscliff might be worth a try. With that super long rod lots of good spots you can reach from shore with a squid jig 👍.
@CanPacificFishing would love to see a long range squid jig from shore 👍 Heaps of good reachable squid ground from Queenscliff south pier and all of the queenscliff beach. The southern end of the beach is a marine park marked on maps and a yellow cones.
Don't take any shit from other fishos. If what you are doing is not interfering with them and is within reason, stand your ground, 'Cut my line and I can cut yours too, the ball's in your court, buddy. I'm just here to have fun and mind my own friggin business.'
Keeping calm doesn't make the other party right. What made that guy upset? I don't know, but what made me keep calm, I know. And, person miserable that much, I dont think fishing can relax them, they need a professional help.
@CanPacificFishing I went there today from 11am to 3pm, no bites at all, it was so windy and weedy, only caught puffer fish and nothing else wanted to bite, used Shrimp, half pilchards, pippies, dough, yellow tail and even fish bites. Nothing worked. It was my first time there and I'm disappointed 😞
Firstly pinkys, you need Bluebait and pilchard. Whiting , you need pippies Shark, you need bloody salmon bait. On Salmon bust up , keep 1 rod and lure on it ready, they dont stay long
Unbelievable. All that space and those idiots don't have the basic decency to try and share. They act like they own the area. They are the types of people who probably leave their rubbish behind and take undersized fish. This is why I hate fishing around other people nowadays.
@CanPacificFishing I feel you bro. I typically wade.... you're alone 99% of the time and the other fishermen you occasionally across are usually other dedicated fishos who are pleasant and like to keep it moving. You handled those guys really well btw, didn't let them push you around but didn't escalate things either. Much respect.
This mullet doesn't bite, takes the hook and sits there. Have you noticed that I have no bait on my hooks. Mullet only interested of the shiny, silver hooks. Before fish, throw some burley pellets that's all. Miner bite will not sense with rods as good as on my index ☝️ finger.

Really enjoy seeing that you move around the spots on the GOR. Curious to know whether you think there would be kingis outside those salmon. That was a solid school with your doubles and heavier fish. Do you think that. Would bring in other species.
Thankyou, Where I fish in this video, not far only 4 km, I hooked up kingfish. Unlucky my hook come off, but that adrenaline rush unbelievable. Yes they are there, just the matter of time to appear on my video.
Is this Australian? I’m in west Australia so it’s different but I go in a tinny a km or two out . Hour before Sunset. Drop anchor. Chop up Mulie and chuck them out. Two rods no sinker or little ball. One hook with half a mulie ( pilchard ) and as sun nearly set … bang! The big snapper take my line and run. I slow them down and take them in. Nearly every time but that my local area. Your local area will have a way to catch. Once you find that out you will catch same! You probably good at fishing but if they don’t take bait you can’t pull them in.
