this is possible the most creative video idea and its executed well, videos like this inspire me to maybe try content myself, keep up the great work and love the video and BIOSHOCK REFERANCE
It's somewhat a matter of definition. We have technically defined 'good game' as 'classical game', and we have defined classical game as the sort of game that existed, well, before. The truth is, games turn a major turn around 2012, such that the 'modern game' is defined very differently. Some of them are good, just very different. They are built differently and judged differently. We play them differently. In reality, bad games have existed forever, and the modern game has its roots in the 1990s, more so, 2004-2009 in the West and Asia. It simply didn't become widespread or accepted until the 2010s, and the companies had no real need for it, either. In the 2000s, Sony was making billions from software and hardware sales, and was doing better as a company in other areas. By the 2010s, Sony is not doing nearly as well (other than raw sales of PS4, but they didn't make money on most of those). By the 2010s, the gaming landscape had changed, and games cost a lot more money to make, and they made far fewer of them. On top of this, they didn't sell as well. Fewer copies meant a far smaller profit. This meant, it was a logical tactic for Sony to lean into MTX, gambling systems, service charges, and other ways of obtaining profits. Not only were Gen-Z players open to the idea and the systems were now perfected or close to being perfected, but they had fewer options and income routes compared to the PS2 and PS3. By the mid-2010s, they had profound competition with PC and mobile gaming, too. The real problem has been the MTX, gambling-driven live service nightmare games since 2012-2013 or so, built on the FIFA and FarmVille mechanics and models, and certain online games. Warframe is a clear early example of this, along with RuneScape's loot box system and MTX cosmetic shops. However, it didn't stop there. By 2014, this whole mess was almost standardised across gaming. Every major Sony game, every EA game, every Disney game, every Xbox game, every MMORPG, every live service RPG type game, every sports game -- all of it. Around this time, Call of Duty is MTX trash, CS:GO is a gambling hellscape, Minecraft sells you endless skins, GTA Online is a MTX machine, the list goes on. Let's jump just a few years. By 2020, 30% of Steam games are driven by gambling devices such as loot boxes, and 50% of mobile games. Warcraft is pure MTX and pay-to-skip features, and just about every game you can think of has major MTX or loot box systems and/or some kind of season/battle pass structure. The only difference between Warframe, RuneScape, FIFA, and Call of Duty in 2013 and 2020 is three-fold: (a) the widespread, normalised nature of it; (b) the optimised systems and mechanics; and (c) the amount of gameplay benefits you can gain by spending (some amount of) money. By 2021 or so, I began to see no difference at all between addiction generators and slot machines and that of video games. It's only been about 12 years since all this really blew up. And, we're not even close to being done yet. Just you wait and see what they have in store, what they have cooking, and the kind of insanity that Gen-Z players and iGen 2 players will demand by 2025, 2030, 2035. Look into all the casino they set up as labs to better perfect the art of gambling manipulation features, and all the UX (so-called 'user experience') experts and classical psychologists they hire to perfect the art of player control. It's all conditioning, like cattle with bells. It's why it's so addictive, like the bell note/noise on your iPhone. Ding, ding, ding. It's perfectly designed to force you to pay attention to it 24/7. And you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until they really merge VR, A.I., video games, storytelling, and home access into one totalising system. They are actively working on this as we speak (including the likes of Mark; hence, Meta). 2030-2035 will make 2020 look like a pathetic attempt at population control and MTX corruption. Trends and analysis already show that video gaming is about to skyrocket over the next 10 years, and completely crush every other area of entertainment -- film, music, art, everything. Unless something changes, this is our future: an echo-chambered, top-down, A.I.-driven, game-like and sex-based gambling VR life replacement system that makes WALL-E look like a walk in the park by comparison. In other words: our very own personal hell.
I understand about the 2000+, but... You are avoiding other styles of gaming, rts, flying simulators and others. A remastered edition of "Tie Fighter" for me is the number one
I always listened to the forest and spirit temple themes through the night from N64 ocarina of time. It drowned out the sounds of my parents fighting. I still have that game hooked up to an old TV on my dresser in my house, and I listen to it when things are rough
damn, just recently got to know your channel, and with this type of work (which i know must've been awful lot of, painful, stressful type of work, but also rewarding) you just got a new sub, also with all that said, there is some bright future for you in this, keep up the style and the good work
My first video I’ve seen of your channel. Honestly impressed by your narration style. Very unique. Edit: You did a green screen of killing a splicer with a wrench? Subbed 😂 nice effort
I'd love to see a video of you talking about genshin impact but then again it's genshin impact and I know you like good games so I won't even attempt to ask 😂
hey bizly i just (almost) finished bioshock i got a say the story and design is amazing but im sorry man the gameplay is ass i played at normal Difficulty the enemies at the end are bullet sponges so i didint completely finished it came back to the video to see the end of it
That was amazing. I knew Bioshock was my dad's favorite game / franchise but I never really knew why (I only ever saw clips of gameplay), but wow... Wow!
Hey man the algorithm isnt doing you justice bro this content is premium. keep it up man the effort and care really shows. your voice woulda been good enough to carry the video on its own but adding the green screen immersion is next level❤❤
BIZLYYYY. I'm glad I found this account and watched the other videos on here so fast; I have to say I really enjoy your greenscreen videos with you present in them. You're like a full on actor in the story along with what you're telling us. This was the first one recommended to me and I was expecting just a regular ole video essay format with a youtuber just talking to the camera (which I would have enjoyed nonetheless) but was going to have on as background listening as I'd played the games as well; but after the lolita video and the poor things one I was like nah. This guy hits different. And this video? Takes the cake. Keep doing what you do. I'd love to see your thoughts on the other games in the series too and overall any of your favorite shows/movies etc. ya got good taste lol
I never play bioshock and it’s been on my list for a bit but now I’m definitely going to play it. Good job with the video it’s really well edit and the humor you add is amazing! Look forward to more!
I totaly agree with the first take about AC Brotherhood. Instead of giving us more material and reason to seek better equipament they just destroy an PRETTY MUCH INDESTROYABLE ARMOR (as said in Altair's codex pages) in the first 50 minutes of game. That armor literally is single handedly the reason why Ezio survived Rodrigo's stabing and it's gone. Then they give us another armor to hunt down which has LESS DRIP and even worse, doesn't seem to even be canon since the first thing we see in the game when Ezio is fighting Ceasar is him WITHOUT thar armor. Even in the ghosts Desmond see at the end Ezio is not using the armor. That been said, Ezio's AC II default outfit >>>>>>> Ezio's AC:B default outfit all the way baby I really hate AC:R. Like, a lot. You're spot on when you said that "there's 4 hour of really good stuff", the Altair's memories, Ezio's interactions with Sofia and I even think his relationship with Yusuf had potential, but was underdelivered. This game is just Brotherhood on steroids and sometimes just blantently worse than Brotherhood. Which sucks because this game has many of the greatest lines, sequences, stories and even mechanics of the entire franchise (the bomb crafting thing. That shit is S tier, fucking AMAZING. IMAGINE THE POTENTIAL)
You did KILLER on the lore and even better on the visuals and storytelling but i did feel the need to express one thing 44:43 Andrew did know about Jack. He murdered jasmine after he found out about Fontaine and Tenenbaum buying the fertilized embryo in 1956. What i'm assuming he DIDN'T know is that Jack was raised to full term and altered enough to look like an adult (seeing as fontaine sent Jack up when he was "no more than 2"). Jacks passport from the plane crash says he would be 24 but in reality we play as a buffed up super toddler who's only 4. The timeline makes my head spin a little but if we can have bees in our hands and slugs in little girls stomachs that makes drugs i guess a 4 year old super toddler overthrowing the whole city shouldn't surprise me.
