His best solo albums were The Gift and Speaking in Tongues imo. He let Krayzie listen to finished product of Heavenz Movie and he (Krayzie) said it sounded good but rushed . Bizzy put it together quickly and didn't take his time. But he made up for it in his follow up album
That's me on the last track pronounced P-O double The sample is from my job at this liquor store I work at an actual customer playfully cussing out his brother who recently passed away actually made this beat 3 years ago. Thanks for the kind words
Man from beginning to the end was amazing he made a statement im not even sure if your even understanding this is nothing about sales or likes you said it man its about your soul period he had the first ctd album check it out
Yo bro Vincent Vega here, i appreciate the compliments and happy you thought the album was dope. I do rap here and there but have kinda fallen back since i began making beats like 10 years ago. Definitley expect to hear more from me with E though and very possibly Jack Frost. Much Love.
It's true that you never know if Esham is going to really piss you off or blow your mind. Baring Purgatory, it's been the former with a good number of his latest albums. This album though is pretty good, and I hope he keeps it going in this style with the next album.
That’s why it’s always good to view others thoughts and opinions. I appreciate the honest review of the album. Me personally really enjoyed this album and I’m also considering making it my #1 Krayzie Bone project. I am a biblical person and one of the main reasons I love Krayzie so much. This was a masterpiece imo. Still haven’t decided if TM1999 has been dethroned but I’m very happy with this project. Thx again for the thoughts on the album, always nice to see other Bone Heads vibing out.
I LOVE this album. That track with Eazy as example is hella crazy. Or "Never Missing A Beat" with that crazy instrumental at that beginning. Or this one you picked or the one with MC Ren. I feel like 5 mics or 4 mics
I never had the pleasure to meet Bro. Marquis in person, but 2 Live Crew was definitely one of my all time favorite rap groups back in the 1980s! Fun fact: I'm from L.A., California & my stepsister used to live about 1½ hours east of L.A. in Riverside; Before he moved to South Florida, purportedly Marquis was from Riverside, and my stepsister said she knew him! Small world...
I just finally got to listen to this album in its entirety. I give it a strong 7.8/10 . Verses were superb. Message was clear. The hooks /chorus seemed rushed and bland. The beat production was solid and I believe with solid hooks. It’s a masterpiece like a Heavenz movie or The Gift. Great album it gets better as you listen .
Raider Nation on the check in .. i see you dripped up! R.I.P. Brother Marquis. the 2 Live Crew definitely had the Miami Bass Scene on Lock. Really wished he could've did more as an independent artist, but his contributions definitely put miami on the map. Peace and Rest in Power to the Brother Marquis!
Rest in peace Brother Marquis. I was a kid the first time I heard 2 Live Crew. Living in the Bay. Oakland CA. The year was 1986. I was 13 years old. “But me and her both know all the facts, She's in love with a brother from the ghetto, who is black! My 7 bizzos”
It's crazy how back then they had to fight censorship just for talking about sex and stuff. Then you listen to how degenerate rap is nowadays talking about the color of their booty holes and shit. 😂
1. Makaveli 2. Doggystyle 3. All Eyes On Me 4. Chronic 5. Dogg Food 6. Retaliation Revenge And Get Back. So #6 Death Row release for me. Also ide love to see you review Snoops 'Dead Man Walking" album. Basically a bunch of unreleased material from the Dogfarther album.
Since nobody leaves comments here I will. Above the law are the quintessential west coast group for me. This was the last of their great albums which I believe were 6 bangers from living like hustlers, vocally pompon, black mafia life uncle Sam’s curse time will reveal and legends. Classics from a criminally slept on group
I just got into Paperboy "The Nine Yards" album again. I love bumping my head to this and relax to this addictive making album (at least for me lol) That's a cool coincidence you talk about a Rythm D produced album now. Never heard of it before. First track in and it sounds pretty good
Carefull! It's a long comment on this album. I just finished this video and feel about the album like this: something like 3 Mics with a tolerance of +- 0.5 mics. But most likely + or just 3. The instrumentals are really appealing to me and the vocals, flow and the general soundscape this album has to offer sound really nice too. Sure a little more versatility would be nice as I thought as example that the duo sings a little more or something like that. Still the hooks are nice. The lyrical content was enough. I am not really the lyrics guy: as example I didn't pay much attention to those in the video. But when I heard those there are no special attributes about these that differ much from the other MC's in that era. But kudos for having clean lyrics like that. If you don't need to curse than let it be. They still sounded cool. Yet I am pretty sure this album has some nice lines I just missed. Idk For me there isn't a song I where I thought "Ugh... that sucks...". It has its bangers and its relaxed songs but nothing really bad. But as you said (paraphrased can't remember exact words rn) "I feel robbed because I thought there are 16 songs but in the end there are 10 -12 because of the skits) I was thinking "You are right". The skits are nihil, nothing: not funny, not memorable nor do they have a appealing attribute. The ones where just an instrumental was playing were okay because I love me some Rythm D. In the end it is like 3 mics. Nothing too special but its soundscape is pretty good. I am a sucker for the 90's rap music so I am a little biased by albums like that. And Rythm D is a legend of a producer OTHER THAN THE SKITS THERE IS NOTHING REALLY TO HATE ABOUT. They did a nice job for me because 3 mics ≠ bad.
@@throwback88 thanks. And you nailed it too. I really like the idea with your report cards so I can see which songs you liked more and less. I am a little interested in how people like music, what they prefer and stuff like this. But of course I want to hear fire songs too by watching videos like yours. So please continue those videos because they entertain me. Oh and if I can give a wish of a album you give your opinion on. I wonder how you feel about "Lethal Injection". I really like this album but I heard other people saying the opposite.
"Mad Scientist" is my favorite track on that album. "Bring it On" is underrated, and I agree, it has that Uncle Sam's Curse feel to it. Speaking of Eazy-E's Ruthless era, have you checked out WC and the Maad Circle's track "Feel Me," produced by Dr. Jam/Madness 4 Real? I recently found out that it was originally a beat for Ruthless before Eazy-E passed.
