Are you guys not allowed outer carriers to carry some of the gear? My belt I’m just running my gun, keys, and mags. My vest I have from left to right - radio, med kit, cuffs, TQ. Ditched the taser and spray a while back but always have the option to quickly throw them on my belt
This is great, but sometimes you gotta work on your angles. Sometimes people be talking or doin something, and it's just panned to people sittin and listening n actin restless lol
So we got the Hydra at work we have 11.5's and I thought it was dumb. After using it for force on force. Range quals (half the qual is with a gas mask) I was sold on this mount. Unity all the way if you are just looking for the heads up style and with shooting with NVGs. If you use a gas mask nothing changes with head placement on with the hydra. Shooting prone is almost nicer. I find less strain on the eyes. And the balance of the rifle changes for the better. No longer front heavy. Yeah yeah go to the gym. I'm 6'5" 260lbs I lift lol. Do cqb all day in a shoot house holding your rifle up one handed to open doors ect. The front definitely gets heavy. I ordered a hydra for my personal MK18 and love it. I won't lie I ordered the airsoft hydra for $40 before I spent my coin on the real one to see if it worked for me. I do t see a reason to put the hydra on a 14.5 or 16" setup. It's when you have a short system is where this mount shines
Interesting take. I like the feedback. I did not like how high it was after using it for some time. I ended up using two unity mounts. Aimpoint t-2 and a eotech riser for my MAWL so far love it.Perfect height for me at least for gas masks or utm mask pro and does not stick up high into the sky.
While watching the podcast I've noticed that you guys have a Berlin Police patch in the background wich I find really cool. My question was from where you guys got that, and if any of you were somehow in the police there. Or maybe just a collection item 👀
Try the T. rex arms speed belt might solve some of those minor thing that might bother yah, also you’ll have better Velcro contact all the way through. You can also adjust on the fly just doesn’t have ratchet system
that harness looks different from the one i have, maybe theyve changed oem? btw to add molle, WTF molle expanders, the largest size they have, allows you to run molle inside and have 3 wide pouches, add that with ur tactical or midwest armor pouchs, so you can hold more mags or water, batta bing batta boom
absolutely. Do your research as well go on ride alongs find the agency that pays the most has the best hours offers sign on bonus maybe pays moving cost and has cool unit spots not just patrol work
CNC machines are 100k each. And that’s for like a haas vf4 which is more than capable of doing these not 500k to 1 million dollars lol. The replica clone version that mounts the eotech is great. The replica clone version that mounts the aimpoint don’t buy it lacks the recoil lug.
What should you look for in a flashlight battery life, lumens / throw, one handed operation, instant turbo or strobe mode switch ?? Lmk 👍 on the fence with the nitecore mh12 pro - p23i
As a military guy it’s ridiculous seeing police outfitting themselves as such. Maybe you’re SWAT and in that case I agree with your choices. But if you are just a cop you need to relax a bit and just protect and serve.
You have to be ready for anything these days. You go into your next gun fight against rifles with just soft armor only stopping 9mm rounds. Hard pass, cops should wear this gear if bad guys have rifles no question. I’ve been in the military 12 years. The amount of work up on a target with intel and along with 24/7 feed on a target loc is INSANE. Conventioanl or SOF the work up and intel on a location is 10x more info than street cops get. Cops go into situations with only a phone call from usually 3rd hand info. I encourage you to go on a ride along in a very busy city with actual crime and then voice an opinion. Appreciate the feedback. Sure do some cops wanna play dress up of course but valuable equipment like this has its place in law enforcement SWAT or not.
To quote the late James Yeager. One of the best instructors that I ever had the pleasure of training with. Only OEM magazines should be used in Glock pistols. All aftermarket magazines are JUNK! if you want 15 rounds out a Glock, then carry a Glock 19! 👍🇺🇸
Come on guys. CNC machines and work is not what it used to be. Machines don’t cost half million dollars for a 3-5 axis unit and nobody uses a lathe pot mass production today unless it’s something really niche. The r and d probably did cost quite a bit for the initial run so that justifies the costs for sure. It’s not what I would consider overly priced but it is expensive. I’d rather see it in 7075 if that is an option for a mount of this shape so would be better at taking hits without bending though.
@@standby_official I honestly thought it would be brighter. Is it because it throws the light downrange further that it doesn't have a wide open area? My TLR1 HL brightens a HUGE portion of the area at night. This one doesn't even cover 1/4 of my basement.
When I was in afghanistan back in the day I set up my IFAK upside down like that. It makes it easier to pull your shit out if your doing self aid. My squad leader was a real asshole and acted like that was the dumbest idea ever.
Ya, the military now is a lot more forgiving with how gear is setup and more open to ideas on kit setup. It was SOP we used to run it however the army was setup just in case.
How was the heat? One of the reasons I bought it is that I thought the amount and density of metal would make it better than something like BCM/Geissele. Haven't been able to take it to the range yet, unfortunately, but pretty happy with my purchase so far.
Arent there any radio devices which can reveive and transmit on multiple frequencies? Always wondered why you have to carry multiple radios if there are devices like this.
Not at which the encryption level we are running no. Multiple radios different frequencies must be able to talk simultaneously instantly and transmit to instantly without stepping on each other
Any thoughts on this light for K9 tracking applications? I was considering this with the OKW head to replacement my old Streamlight Stinger on my belt, I also carry an MCH Duty.
