What if the fertilizer was homemade, such as a combination of old banana, eggshells, limestone, etc? Would it not be safe for consumption at that point?
is there any ways to reach out to you im trying to fine more information about "Trichocereus Scopulicola Goliat" but when i search on google i don't get any result from with Trichocereus Scopulicola Goliat , the reason i look for information about it , is because i want some sacred cactus that are spineless aka no spines :)
Another way to evenly distribute the seeds, is to use a salt or Parmesan shaker and fill mostly with sand, then the seeds, then the rest of the sand, leaving room to shake the sand and seeds together. Then sprinkle an even layer of the mixture on the surface of the soil.
Your spotlight series is what's up. I still dig your videos. I think just hearing your voice and perspective is cool. So far, my favorite plant I'm growing from you is Cerdanyola A3 x TPM which was actually a gift! Cheers!
Woah! A+++++ approach. Step-by-step rock solid strategy for healthiest propagation technique for large-scale Cactus cuttings. I've stumbled along and made some of the Rookie (rot) mistakes and all your updated suggestions are in allignment to rooting out and propagating in healthiest possible approach. Even your technique of washing out rootbound cuttings and then letting washed out roots dry out and heal vs. immediately plant was a verrrrrry interesting approach. Yeah, not all plants survive and thrive with the cut and stick in the ground method. Can't thank you enough and also agree - this updated Vlog is a Master Class for the larger Cactus propagation methods. Kudo's to you for connecting the dots with this approach👍👍👍🙏🍀🍀🍀
Hey dude i just want to say i love your content your plants are beautiful and you have been helping the community with your first hand knowledge for years thank you very much
Do you by chance have a discord group, iv been watching a ton of videos about cacti and I remember someone said they had one but I can't remember who , I'm having a hard time I identifying a cactus it has the structure of a PC Pedro but has a blue farina and 4 redish black very small spines
I recently bought a Bolivian torch from a website called San Pedro source does anybody know if it’s legit I’m wondering if they gave me a real sacred cactus
❤your work.,thankyou for sharing your work. Just what I needed to know. I’d love a seedling of any spineless TPs that one at the end that’s OP but the dad is known is a beauty. I have a thing for the spineless ones and my collection is going that way more. Strictly sacred too brother.
Vermiculite is a nice and practical addition too. I use a topping of clay for germination in coarse substrate. Adding some sand might improve it a bit. The clay is inorganic and helps prevent pathogens (I don't sterilize and use H2O2 and neem). In general it's good to avoid coarse substrate for young and even older plants, I prefer finer more homogenous mixes. IME coarse pumice does not mix too well with clay, but it works. Coarse vermiculite works quite well, but finer is better.
