I think it's really important to point out that you need to use a large brush for flatter surfaces like marine shoulder pads, etc. I got so frustrated with speedpaints using the brush that comes in the starter set. Switching to a bigger brush helps to pull large pools away and helps to avoid that blotchy look.
man, this looks so cool and looks very simple. If I would start my necrons I would go this way. I don't think if this would work on already painted and washed with basilicanum grey necrons
Nice vid ! My problem now is how do you now attach a mini to that who is flat footed ? Do you scratch off bits of what you just made to make room? Do you pin one foot down and super glue both feet down? What is best ? Or should I just attach model to base first then do all the steps from this video ? Haha sorry trying to learn and have fun love your paints!
Either option would be fine, really. I tend to use a sharpie to mark where a mini's feet will be, and base around it. Not exactly precise, but it works with practice.
Normally you would attach the mini first and then work on the base, we just left the mini off for the purpose of showing how to do different basing schemes.
Do you think I could also use Glowing Inferno and Flickering Flame for the gold instead of Demigod Flame and Fiendish Yellow? I am missing those colors right now, and I'd really like to move on. Thanks! :)
Please more of this! You do have a knack for hitting the point of simplicity and really excellent looking models. I love your air warpaints and how you use the airbrush. Not over the top as many other content creators use it. Makes things so much easier. The tutorial for the chaos knight was awesome too!
