Wow, thanks allot. Same things happened on our way from la to salt lake. My son in law and I checked the vacuum line and found a dried out cracked line where the lines enter the can under the hood. Replaced it for 1.50 from advanced Auto now works perfect you saved me hundreds no doubt
Early 1970s O.G. eegee's fan here. eegee's had a funky big food truck that would show up in front of Catalina High School. YEAH! And they only had one eegee's drive-thru restaurant.. really it was more like a shack. It was on the north side of Speedway Blvd. east of Tucson Ave., west of Country Club Ave. That building has been gone a long time. eegee's popularity just exploded and little by little stores popped up all over Tucson. Yes!! I have been to eegee's hundreds & hundreds of times. I haven't lived in Tucson in over 30 years but still love eegee's. Once in a while when I fly into Tucson, I go directly to an eegee's right after my flight lands. 😊 My favorites: Italian grinder-hot, soft pretzel with melted provolone, lemon eegee's or strawberry eegee's. 🥤🥤🥤 I also must visit Lucky Wishbone & What-a-burger for nostalgia sake & In-n-Out as a newer favorite. It's been many years since I've been to any of those restaurants so i can only reminisce. 🌵 Love Tucson.. Best wishes everyone. 🌿🌷🌿
@@pichakrez - So I believe in TX you can have one monitor incomplete and still pass. Fuel is very uncommon to not compete but it is becoming a problem more in recent years with direct injection. No advise there. So to attack Evap try to keep your tank between 1/2 and 3/4 and extend your warm up times in the morning (about 5 minutes) and try to do a nice steady cruise on the freeway at 55 mph. BUt no lie its a tough one to complete. once one of them goes go get your test. good luck.
Thank you I appreciate it... it really gets under my skin that one may need to do this just to pass smog in California! Is it just me or does anyone else feel how ridiculous this whole thing really is? It's not until I spent so much money trying to "fix" a problem which isn't really the emissions but the system itself! It is insane !
Thanks a million! FOLLOW UP for anyone that can change the flow by manually moving the arm on the actuator, it might be your PCV-check-valve. Its the larger vacuum tube that ends in a °90 elbow on top of the left hand valve-cover (it inserts straight into the top of the valve cover). It may, but not always make a buzzing noise while idling.I replaced mine w/ no tools, in 30 seconds for 3 bucks. Everything works, truck even runs a little better. Edit: if you pause the video at 2:42 its that little black °90 elbow that can be seen inserted into the valve cover at the very bottom of the screen, dead center, the valve is inside that °90 elbow.
I’m probably in the minority but I’ve tried many different ways and I just can’t stand anything runny or snotty ( sorry it’s the only way I can describe it) in the egg, it’s a texture thing for me. II mainly eat them scrambled or hard boiled
I have a code for a shift solenoid. Not sure why that triggers the check engine light. I am in Ohio and the check engine light is an automatic fail. My scan tool will not let me erase the code. I did replace the shift solenoid myself and did replace other items while I had the pan off. Google says the code is because there is more than 3 psi at the solenoid. Wondering if I can get the auto parts store to erase the code long enough for me to run the E check.
What a fuckin incredibly helpful video for all of us trying to do our own/DIY thing. Nobody offers help out there you know. I myself been having issues trying to get to get the EVAP off, drove 60 miles and still incomplete monitor status. Your powerful two tips, turning off the A/C was genius as I didn’t do that, and running from 65 to 1-2 miles an hour a few times is great. I am going to do that right now as I need to pass inspection as it is expired already and get a ticket for it. I also like how you kept that “special” mileages on that BMW to magically make on the sensor disappear. Got to keep something private lol. Thanks a bunch for your information and technique.

I drove for over 200 miles and my 2008 chrysler town and country wasn't ready. cat and o2 censor Incomplete. I watched this video and turned off the ac and everything was ready and got my van inspected. Thank you.
I use a lot of foam but I'm doubtful this would hold long term. The expansion foam has a lot of air holes and eventually the hardware is going to pop out.
Yes! I couldn’t get CAT to be ready for the life of me after driving up and down the wazoo until I drove my car at 65mph on the highway for about 10-15. Then had to pick a not so busy frontage road to exit on and just decelerated naturally to about under 20. (If you’re from TX, you KNOW how busy and crazy our highways are). But Stopped at a gas station at the end of my exit and CAT was FINALLY ready! Then drove back home and prayed to GOD my check engine line didn’t turn on again! 🙏🏼

You should be able to do this in normal every day driving. It's just people that try to clear codes before a smog check that get into this situation where they have to go out and try to clear the monitors before an registration expiration deadline. For most people with normal driveing patterns they will never have to worry about this.
