how to make the best tomato sauce is easy it just takes time. I will show you this easy tomato sauce recipe that is no fail. a no fail tomato sauce recipe? yes, and everyone that has it will say you make the best tomato sauce they have had.
You can change it up the way you like, or add some of the other ingredients I mention in this recipe. Some common things that are added are carrot and celery before the tomatoes are added. Try different spices, meats, and mushrooms until you get it perfect. Then you can show others how to make the best tomato sauce.
I have used this sauce for pasta, lasagna, egg plant parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and you name it. It is very versatile and cannot fail if you follow my recipe exactly.
I only use Mutti brand tomatoes and products. I have tried San Marzano of different brands and they nearly all fall short. Mutti brand is consistent and is high quality. Stock up on these products when they are on sale so you always have them available.
You will need for this recipe
1 onion (white or yellow)
5 cloves of garlic
salt
black pepper
red chili flakes
olive oil
2 large cans of tomatoes (mutti)
tomato paste (mutti)
basil (dried and fresh)
oregano (dried)
parmesan cheese
1 Large pot with lid
and at least 2-5 hours of simmering time

In many occasions I remember stuff I've learned from you, either related to cooking or guitars. There's just so much honest and straightforward content you've created over the years, that it's hard not to feel grateful. Always nice to see another Dr. Chill recipe. Hope you're doing okay, cheers!

If I remember correctly, you weren't able to eat garlic some time ago? Anyways, it is a huge pleasure being in your kitchen again. Thanks Will.

yes, but after I had my immune system turned off from steroids during an MS flare up a lot of things were fixed. That being one of them. I still have celiac.

Awesome basic recipe! Great idea about Parmesan in the sauce. I do that with my Minestrone. Don't know why it never occurred to me to do it with my Marinara too... One small suggestion. I read in Jaques Pepin's book a few years back that Tomatoes contain flavor components that are not only water and oil soluble. But some that are also only soluble in alcohol. He feels it's necessary that in order to make the full flavor of tomato accessable to the palate it needs alcohol. Not enough to taste necessarily. But just a dash if whatever is available. Shot of wine, vodka, even a splash of beer will do. I've been doing that ever since. It really does add certain Jena se qua

One tip I would give you is prepare the sauce a day in advance, and then let it marinate in the refrigerator overnight. The flavors will be even more intense the next day Also garnish the final dish with by sprinkling fresh basil or parsley over top for presentation

Have never heard of Mutti Brand, here in my area in NY. I understand what You're saying about it, has the Sweetness, cuts the acid. So, in another brand, adding some sugar would be comparable ?
