"Space grade steel" My man. A) There is no "space-grade" steel B) A literal dumpster has better steel than the fucking rustfest they put on the cybertruck
people hate tesla because their endocrine systems cannot withstand the onslaught of microplastics we are all assaulted by daily. they will exit the gene pool
The 'tank' statement is dumb, trucks aren't rated by how good they are at surviving crashing into shit Thats a ok but, If it can't hold 3 tons in the bed it's basically another light duty car with a bed
While nowhere near as popular in the EU & UK there are people who like large trucks so you do get F150's and Hummers etc on the road. However unlike other large trucks the Cybertruck will not make it across the pond as it is considered far too unsafe. The design and material of it's construction - angular, sharp hardened steel panels would chop pedestrians into mincemeat. Unlike the US where large trucks are exempt from crash tests it would fail any European crash test and without it passing it doesn't get on the road. You're trying to make out that the Cybertruck is no more dangerous than any other large truck - you're wrong.
I hate the sharp corners. like if pop ups headlights are dangerous, why is this allowed? I'm complaining about all bigger trucks unless you like a farmer or sum shi and actually need it. if you need a vehicle with a lot of trunk space, buy a taco or the equivalent. if you need to tow heavy shi a lot, then big trucks are necessary.
Was driving a F250 diesel because I work as a contractor and on a farm. Ever since I sold the farm, I sold the truck and got a mid size SUV for my contractor work. Miss my old truck from time to time, but the mid size suv is so much better to daily.
I agree, I think the safety concern is a little overblown. People just think it’s ugly and its market timing could not be worse. At least four other electric pickups have been on the market for over a year at a time when the EV market is reaching over saturation, and public opinion on EVs has also downtrended. People just don’t like it and we’re making up arbitrary reasons to not like it more, because it is a dumb car.
There would be no injuries on any of the passengers of the Cyber truck because they would all die of the embarrassment of riding in a cyber truck before getting it at accident.
Considering that these same experts also think that outside of a motorcycle helmet is a crumple zone, I'm actually not surprised. Most people don't understand how crumple zones work. The goal isn't to crush itself. The goal is to increase the time to decelerate and minimize the impulse force on your body. While I'm not a fan of the cyber truck, I also know that the cyber truck is heavier than most of these other trucks. So, even though the materials are stronger are not so strong to overcome the extra weight. If they used weaker materials, the cyber truck might actually crumble too much and you end up getting sandwiched in the middle of the truck, if you even manage to survive.
They aren't "trucks". I wish you Yanks would call those vehicles 'utes' (short for utility vehicle) like we do in Oz. A "truck" is a commercial vehicle designed to carry heavy loads, not just a car that can carry a couple of bicycles. We can buy your XXXL 'utes' over here now and they are too big for our roads and parking spaces. What ever happened to smaller, more efficient cars that cost less to run and could be parked easily?
The part that scares me is how many of Americas young men, and I use the term men lightly, have turned out to be such scared little chicken splat. They are "HORRIFIED" or scared of just about everything. Big truck scarey, so you stupid for buying and driving, waahh my hoo hoo hurts.
I dont like the truck at all, but u bitching about ,, oh no peaple can buy scary big truck, there should be license and regulation for that!" is another soy level
It’s embarrassing that so many huge trucks are being bought by average Americans. It’s sad that these trucks are decimating the economy car segment and now they’re getting repossessed a lot more often. I would buy a Corolla and drive it until I die.
I drive a truck that weighs 80,000 lbs. I do have a special license. But they give those out to Indians who don't speak English, apparently. Be careful out there, folks.
1:52 "showing it against one of the highest safety rated trucks you can buy: the f150." yk the truck that crushes occupants in a roll over. and the cybertruck still looks worse. look at rear wheels, not accounting for the tesla's caster blaster, the ford continues forward for like half a second. use comma and period keys to go frame by frame on the vid, pretty big difference. also notice the time for airbag. Ford deploys later and faster, occupant's neck isnt snapped, unlike tesla's. also notice how in all the tests, in all the trucks, except the tesla, the rear wheels lift up. This isn't just weight distribution, this is the frame flexing. you can tell because the bed side actually continues into the cabin. this is both more crumpling happening throughout the vehicle, not just where the damage was, and vertical movement; both of which lessen the gforces experienced by the passengers. im not an engineer, but i am a body tech. not an expert, but having a career of undoing this damage; tesla looks worse.
omfg does this guy know what a crash test is for? ig he thinks we should revert to 60s cars that were big heaps of metal cus they didn't move during an accident. ford moving means theres more of a cushion between passengers and tbone. tesla not moving means the car tbones the side, the side crushes the passengers. its like in racing, the more dramatic crashes are always safer, the fast stops are what kill you. look at tbone crashes, which one was faster?
tesla engineered the safest vehicles on the road? this guy either hasn't insured a regular car in a while, or hasnt insured a tesla cus they have the highest premiums. no. 1 brand for crashes(beating out dodge!), highest repair costs, on top of falling apart for no reason will do that to a brand!
hate how the dude did a bait and switch, but honestly for a definitely biased channel called "ai driver" not surprised. dude loves elon so much he copied his marketing strategy.
A head on impact is less jarring than overlap is, losing the rear tire was very telling of the build quality; that was not it turning. FSD is not safe and Tesla’s suspensions often are relatively old considering all the other technology they are known for. Very heavy, quick vehicles and weak suspensions are a bad mix. There’s videos of FSD running lights when the power is out and them trying to drive at trains, bars down, lights on. Look at how much they cost and how often they are totaled or take months to get fixed after you find a mechanic able to fix it for exorbitant amounts of money. They are a money laundering scam going on with the insurance companies. Tesla’s do have low centers of gravity and, other than the Cybertruck, well designed crumple zones, but the batteries require cobalt, lithium, tantalum, and other substances that are very damaging to mine and the people that have to do it are exploited mercilessly
The best part of the launch of the cybertruck is definitely all the people on twitter complaining that theirs is constantly being repaired while still licking elons boot
I think the big trucks are safer . Seems their involvement in accidents is less. They’re almost always actually slower. Ppl tend to drive em slower cuz they sux gas to the max. Since they’re so big ppl tend to be more careful in parking lots cuz they can’t see as well. My wife for example in my Silverado 2500 she’s apparently more careful cuz her rav4 gets bounced off everywhere like a bouncy ball. !?! License for big vehicles isn’t needed till u get to air brakes. Odd euros think they’re somehow special Maby cuz Muslims use em to run over ppl on purpose.
You shouldn’t waste your time saying that other things are bad. I didn’t even hear one good thing about the cybortruck. So my opinion is you to stop making these videos, caus’ can you do better?
Heavier the vehicle, more the momentum. This is a problem with pretty much all electric vehicles from velocity of V and down to velocity of 0. All that force is going to go somewhere, including the driver and the passengers unfortunately
These big trucks kill a lot of kids, because the truck is so tall the driver doesn't see them, and the grill hits the childs head. Hoenstly the whole truck thing is stupid, because most of them never get used for any practical purpose, they're just big expensive turds increasing fatalities.
