On my kona cindercone come with a annodised gold tripple chainset xtr m970 spec. I think its a cpi cyclone, rest of the bike is LX m567 and STX-RC. 97 cindercone. Would anyone rate STX-RC above Deore?
Ive rebuilt a few freehubs in my days and its not that hard. Pre pandemic i ordered a freehub tool off ebay for $6 and its awesome. The freehub just requires about 70 1/8 inch bearings and some phil tenacious oil. Something to do whilst watching utube lol
I don't paint due to living in an apartment plus I don't know what I'm doing lol. Not to mention I don't think it's necessary most of the time. @@the1bikeguy

Two days ago I acquired a Marin East Peak that looks almost exactly like yours, same colors except my forks are red. Mine isn't as clean as yours and is missing the bar ends and has some aftermarket red grips which are sticky and gross! I may return mine back to stock by replacing the bar ends and finding appropriate grips for it, etc. It is in need of a deep cleaning, and I'm sure some repairs will be in order.
Decent video. I enjoyed the rebuild. From a content producer viewpoint, I'd say work on your transitions and music. That pressure song was kind of ...out of place and the fade outs/fade ins weren't well done. Try to use music/audio that is upbeat, joyful, encouraging, etc.
Nice work mate was wondering if you know anything about my 1984 flatland freestyle raleigh bmx with araya 20" wheels, spokes need replacing can send you photos if you like , its in good condition just spokes need to be replaced could you give me a price on how much it will cost to replace the spokes and is this oldskool bike worth anything, thank you for your time.😊
Haha we would have changed them, unfortunately we went to enter last Saturday and they closed the booking in on Friday dinner as they reached the max 500 allowance, so no race for us 😒
I remember the kona’s arriving in Britain in the 80s no one had seen anything like them straight forks big sloping top tubes. I had the cinder cone with the spattered paint job loved it

The name you said was interesting but wrong. You would have to type it into Webster’s dictionary and listen to the audio recording to hear how it is pronounced. Living on the west coast of North America or having been to Hawaii would make it familiar.
Nice 1996 Kona Kilauea mate love a old kona, ive got a few myself theres just something about them they just ride great in my opinion….ive got a 1995 Kilauea i rebuild back to original spec earlier this year… oh and its pronounced KILLA- WAY-AH buddy hope that helps and cant wait for the rebuild 👌👍
