Hey there Howie, thanks for the beautiful ride. The scenery was amazing and I enjoyed listening to your talking points. Riding with a group can be a lot of fun but I actually like to ride alone. The idea of exploring or taking a rest whenever I feel like it works best for me. Have fun out there.
Hi Tom, I really had a great time doing this long distance road trip solo. Only thing I would change is the Honda OEM saddle to a comfortable one. My next purchase is an Ultimate Seat (Tall Boy).
Two for two. Playing catch up on your videos. This happens every time I return from vacation. lol. I actually got a video and a few pictures of a moose just one mile before I left Newfoundland.
I have a chin mount for my GoPro and the camera angle wasn't high enough to film the moose. I'm looking forward to watching your video of the Newfoundland moose.
If I had to go it over again I would have bought just the Goldstrike Luggage Rack with Lightstrike (only have to install one thing). Also, I should have bought the 40L and not the 60L Goldstrike (Ciro3d) DRYFORCE Waterproof Duffel bag.
I'm in Canada. I was in my Honda dealership a couple of weeks ago and they could tell me through my VIN that mine was one of the bikes that needs to have the fuel pump replaced. When that is, I don't know because they don't have any in stock.
@@howierides So far I have received 2 letters from Honda Canada and an e-mail advising me that my bike is one of the ones with the fuel pump that requires replacing. As far as I know, that was based solely from the VIN and when I went to my dealership they asked for the VIN. They are a small dealership and were able to look it up based on the fact I bought the only black 2023 DCT Tour the sold. I was in there today and they said the replacement pump should arrive later today or tomorrow. Here's hoping. I'm sure they can tell based on the fuel pump date, but I never gave them mine.
@@waynebasso3791 That is good news that the replacement fuel pump will arrive today or tomorrow. I hope to hear back from you that it got replaced before this weekend.
Another great video with some lovely scenery. I removed the seat on my bike and checked the fuel pump date code. Like you, my bike doesn't need the pump replaced. That's good news. Enjoy the ride.
Yes, it was a fun ride. I had the Max Lens 2.0 on the GoPro 12 aimed at me. When the weather allows I'll do more tests on what settings I prefer with the Max Lens 2.0.
not only your shoes wet and slipery . but your tires also very carefull coming out and in the stall . i wash mine and you can fell it that the moto is not gripping good . until half an hour .
Good video Howie. Have you had any whistle noises coming from the 24 inch screen in any position other than all the way down. I installed mine (24 inch, wide, no tint) a couple days ago, and each time I raise the screen I immediately start hearing a wind whistle at any speed above 30ish. The whistle goes away if the screen is all the way lowered. If you have, did you correct? Thanks advance for the advice.
Hi Prestonadventures12, I haven't noticed any whistle noises coming from the 24 inch screen. Unfortunately my hearing isn't the best because I had done a lot of duck and pheasant hunting in Idaho without hearing protection when I was in my teens.
I love it! I bought it new in June of 2021 I have almost 5,000 miles on it. It is worth the money but at the price I paid it should have a comfortable day-long seat. I will probably buy a Corbin seat for it this year.
epic road to ride . i went to area near aspen from co springs on summer from tucson AZ . the altitude got me a bit . i like to ride my kawa vulcan s thru there or my suzuki burgman 400 tru there . but the long drive i ll trailer them . the elk in estes park is crazy . one thing that i notice tru the areas that i went thru in CO is how clean the streets look and it looks like there is money there . the drivers up those high mt highways . me with AZ lic plates i think they where trying to run off the road ? and no police patrols . just lited sings telling people to slow down and death numbers . well the way they drive no one seems to care .
i drove tru salt lake city on summer week end holyday traffic was speeding bumper to bumper really scary no police people driving with unsecure cargo on trailers n trucks . on one spot a chair in the middle . one guy on adv motorcycle had to twist at last minuted to advoided misted by a hair . with cars speeding al around him it went like slow motion cars twisting also to avoid it . the motorcycle guy got off on next exit . problably to check his pants .
Funny 😂 .I am just glad he was ok . Very good rider . Look it like Kawasaki 650 ADV bike . Last minute zig zag . Got of at next exit. I ride a motorcycle 🏍️ I don't want to see that . I always have my camera ready I case a car hits and run ?
Even at 80 mph I don't cover a lot of mileage because I enjoy stopping often to check out points of interest. The only time I cover lots of miles per day is when I'm on a group ride and I need to stay with the group.
thanks for the video - seems clear - I am riding with 2 friends who have Sena 50S and I have Packtalk Bold Black. Can not get either of the Sena's to connect to Sena 'Universal Intercomm Pairing' to the Cardo BT pairing. Have tried resets on both devices - appreciate any tips - riding to 2 friends on an Australia via Asia to EU / UK trip at the moment and a real pain to not be able to connect to the Sena's HELP PLEASE if any idea's or tips. (PS, I have been able to connect the Cardo as Phone 1 on Sena 1 and Phone 2 on Sena 2 and can push to intercom with one at time but cancel closes after 10 seconds. Tried Cardo bridging under DMC and same - the channel drops after 10sec of talk / open time)
Hi, I tested this out with my buddy who has the Packtalk Bold Black and the channel did drop after 10sec of talk / open time. We worked for about half an hour before giving up on trying to get it to work. The thing we didn't try was turning off the bluetooth on our phones. Have you tired turning off the bluetooth on all of your phones?
Being a Bob Seger fan, your title caught my attention. That being said I plan on purchasing the 2023 Goldwing DCT soon. At 61 I decided it was time to treat myself. 😎👍
