I can't get the knifeless tape to cut through the vinyl wrap without causing ripples and tearing the vinyl, I have precut the vinyl on a test piece to start the cut and tried pulling slow and fast and it has the same result, the green vinyl tape included with the kit seems flimsy so I'm going to try some red knifeless tape in hopes it will cut better.
any recommendation about the knifeless tape and how to get it to cut without ripples? I ordered your skin and the knifeless tape and paper but when I test a strip of the Vinyl on the guitar just to see how well it cuts it basically rips it in ripples, I have pre cut the vinyl and pulled the wire through slow and fast with the same result?
I understand how to skin the front and back but how about the sides of the guitar? Do you apply a strip of vinal around the sides and then overlap with the front and back sheets?
Hello, I have a question. I would like to put a skin wrap on a fender stratocaster. I'm thinking of wrapping the body in two parts, front side and slice then the back side. how to connect the two parts so that it is not visible? THANKS. Sincerely.
