Hey there, my social stream chat no longer works. Under errors, Chrome talks of "manifest_version": 2 being deprecated. Is there anything I can do? I'm on the latest version. Thanks. As for what's not working, it is not displaying chat messages at all. I'm going to try to use the windows installer and see if that version works.
@@steve_seguin It wasn't displaying in Chrome or OBS using the extension, moved to the windows installer app and it's working 👍Started having issues with the extension just recently (around last week).
You're internet or computer (cpu) might be maxed out. It's hard to say though as you haven't provided details on how you are publishing to facebook, how are you using vdo.ninja, what your computer/network is like, etc. It might also be that you just need to increase the bitrate with VDO.Ninja. This may seem like a dumb question, but I can't figure it out for some reason. I am using the standalone app and a dock with browser overlay in OBS. Is there a way for me to type directly into Social Stream so I can respond to commenters from various sources in the browser overlay, and my responses appear there? Instead of having to go to each specific site to respond? Currently I am typing into the Social Stream dock I have set up in OBS, but none of the messages I type in are showing in the chat overlay. I am basically trying to duplicate how Restream Chat works. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Messages you type into the Dock should go to the sources you have setup, like RU-vid, and then once sent there, they will appear in the dock. If you simply don't want messages to go to the the social end points, and only want your messages to go to the dock, I can do that. Just understand that there aren't user accounts with Social Stream itself -- there isn't yet a way to upload an avatar, for example, or badges. I'd have to add something like. But yes, I can technically do it. "Trigger test messages" is effecitively that. If you want to join the Discord server, you can make a feature request perhaps, and I can follow up with you on its progress discord.socialastream.ninja

guys my stream ninja stopped working? I updated it and it's still not working. help me please. I've use it with streamlabs and have been using it for a year now, today it would not work during the stream. After the stream i tried to update stream ninja and it still didn't work.
@@the_dixon_way does it still not work after you refreshed the OBS browser source? You may need to update/refresh the browser source . If it still fails, you can enable the server mode option. There are toggles to enable "send message to dock via server"
@@steve_seguin TY for the help. I had to remove the old ninja chat and unpack the updated. Thanks and this is a great tool for content creators. I multicast stream from yt, twitch, X, tiktok, and rumble using streamlabs so this is a life saver! Their widget only works for twitch.

Few questions. Can you change the colors of the names? To make it a bit more distinguished between chats? Can you adjust it so allow twitch channel point redeems to come through? And Twitch now has it so that we can flag some users as monitored or restricted users, it colors the entire chat block when they send a chat. Can those carry over?
colored names is available. channel point redeems can be enabled as an option. monitor/restricted users I dont know about, so I'll say probalby not supported yet
@@steve_seguin The colored names and channel point redeems are honestly the main thing for me. Distingushing people and see the twitch redeems for fun stuff is huge. The monitor/restricted users is more a bonus than anything else. Though the yet you added gives hope. Definitely gonna try this with next stream. Thanks for the info and quick reply!!

@@PinkPrettyPlantBased There are two toggles. "Color names if color info available" and "Add a random color to uncolored names" Once you enabled those, you can then open the dock link again.

I just want to thank you so much for this as its been a life saver! I have a request but I don't know if its in your field or not and its A rather large ask. I am trying to use CLEAN STREAM which filters out bad language for live broadcasting. It works but not great and would love you (if possible) to maybe look into something like this at some point. Again, I know its a huge ask and maybe not your field but I really appreciate your work so thank you from ALL OF US!
@@juanechevarria8442 Normally you'd just open the Instagram live video stream page. If you can see the Instagram chat in the instagram page, normally SocialStream can capture it. If using the standalone app, you may need to sign into instagram within the app for it to work. If using the extension version, you just go to the instagram page that contains your live chat. When using Safari or a browser, if they don't work there, then it's the browser/headphones that are the issue, and I cannot address it. As per the native iOS/Android app, I'm trying to get support for more audio devices working there. It's possible I can get them working, but it takes a significant amount of time and skill to have it work with webRTC. I'll keep trying however.

If you have popped the RU-vid chat out, while using the RU-vid Studio, close the RU-vid Chat pop out. Only one should be opened at the moment; the studio or the chat pop out. I'll get a fix out for this
I'm not entirely sure your use case. If sending the group audio back via meshcast, everyone in the room will hear themselves, since there is no mix-minus support this way. They will also hear everyone with an added delay. Everyone will be in sync though, however the feedback issue and the delay issue will make it very hard to have a conversation. Sending audio p2p allows for mix-minus mixing and conversationally-low audio delay. Just the lipsync will be off. I may not understand what you're referring to though; sorry.
This is great, but I cannot get it to show the scene by copying the scene link. Only if I switch to scene preview I can see the different layouts, but the scene link does not show anything. What am I doing wrong?

A modern iPad should be able to do this all, within reason. Every device has a limit. An iPad has no OBS / OBS irtual camera of course, but I hope that aspect is obvious.
Love the face it can post in every platform you are streaming to but how do I prevent it from doubling messages showing in my chat? I know it is posting to every platform which is awesome but every message I post for me is showing three to four times. How do i fix this? thx
See if this is an option called "💬💬🚫 Filter out duplicate message echos" , and turn it on. If things still duplicate then, join the Discord support server and describe there what sites you are posting to, etc. I'll try to test and confirm the issue there. discord.socialstream.ninja
If Ecamm Live has a browser / web source option, you could include Social Stream there. I am not super familiar with Ecamm live myself, but I can offer support with Social Stream specificailly at discord.socialstream.ninja if needed.
@steve_seguin Thank you for the quick reply. I do have the option to add a widget overlay with URL and widget options but I seem to not understand getting the feed to load but will try some other aspects. If I understand correctly, Chat is not the same as Comments such on Twitter.
thanks for making this, how ever i got a question, i tested the message on screen with more then 300 characters and the message went to the other side of my screen. Can i change that?
If the message has non-breaking characters, like 300 characters without spaces, it may not wrap in cases. There is a way to get it to wrap though. Join the Discord, share with me the links and what you are trying to do there, and I'll help give you a solution. discord.socialstream.ninja Thank you
You can get low profile XLR connectors or right angle. I've had nothing but luck with the re20 I get them for cheap real cheap due to the foam issue and fix them. But I understand some of the cons for sure, especially the accessories prices. Mind you I wasn't aware and haven't seen any of the PCB re20s, I would love to see the internals. Do keep in mind though the sm7b is just a sm57 capsule in a fancy body with 2 switches, which to me seems like it's overpriced too. Personally I find the whole audio recording industry to be overpriced for the components. they say R&D but these are 30+ years old. I buy a lot of rode stuff i get really good value for money because I'm in Australia. But sometimes you need a specific sound. it's frustrating for hobbyists. But I still enjoy it
