If you like the rib in the one fender id cut it out an split the other an weld seams, the fit of fender bracket, could you turn fender,( once you find were holes going to be), on back an use socket to massage fender to fit bracket, every show bike has something hiden, what about finding a WOODY CHARACTER, to put on the bracket 😂, you know im step up to a sticker.
To get the right alignment you could try a contour gauge that would help with the shaving of those posts. This is just my opinion, but to me the bracket kind of looks chunky for a show bike, maybe two pieces of some thinner flat stock coming (with a few bends in it. Maybe look at a French curve for the bend idea) together into a “Y” with the stem being the bung. Not far off your idea of bending the flat bit now.
@@Battlebotmoto to me that is how most of my skills have been acquired, I just decided hey I want to do x and I did it. Hence the motorcycle in the past few months. Do you feel that marines gave you more confidence to take on the unknown or was it other factors?

Decided not to use a coffin tank, could you have welded a "U" shaped piece metal to rear flange of tank, to secure through the existing holes in frame, did I miss on how to get stickers. 2 days work -4 days editing 30 min video, an over budget because of 1 baseball 😂😂😂😂. A true Hollywood set up.
We've been hit with tons of rain, everythings flooded here but thankfully it's all moved on. I have been enjoying the rain while hanging out in the garage though.
I was just in NC last week, I had to go pick up my dad's bike. He retired from life, and it would have been sold for meth money. Me and one of my brothers went and snagged it up and got him put at rest. It was a long week with a lot of hoops to jump thru. But we got it done. I wouldn't change a thing about how it went. We got everything we wanted done done, and we get to bring him and his bike home.
