My neighbor lost both his legs in a trike accident where his gf was killed and he lost both his legs and was left with a big gash from a stop sign in his back. He drove a wheelchair accessible van around. When I went blind for 4 years, he drove me everywhere... it was kind of funny in the stores... we must of made quite a caricature... a guy in a wheelchair and a blind person. He drove me to almost all of my eye surgery appointments and as of this year I'm no longer blind. He passed away a few months ago. I went and picked up my brand new motorcycle 120 miles away on the next day. It was suppose to be the day before but the seller didn't get back to me in time. His death was an unexpected shock, but I made it a moral imperitive to go pick up the bike anyway. UPS brought me a new rear tire for it today. My advice is watch what you eat carefully and keep the pounds off to your normal weight. He couldn't walk so he ballooned up. Walking is a main way people burn off excess calories. My grandfather lost his leg win a woodchopping machine. He still ran jogging races with his prosthetic and had a cabinet full of trophies, mainly because there was so few competitors in his age category.

Sick video bro. Just subscribed. Quick question, have you thought of having a hand operated hydraulic shifter and/or rear brake installed? I know a large portion of professional racers like motogp and motoAmerica riders prefer a hand operated rear brake since it allows them to hang a leg off the bike when braking to aid weight transfer, so I'd imagine it must be commercially accessible too

Hey man, I was wondering if you've ever tried a handbrake for your rear, I'm from the motorcycle stunting scene and a lot of people use one, but it could give a bit more ease of use while riding especially at a stoplights. As well maybe a Easy Pull Clutch might help with fatigue if you sit at lights for a while.
@Battlebotmoto
@Battlebotmoto 4 месяца назад
I think the plan is to eventually get rear brake tied into my front brake lever. And I’m actually working on a setup for a shovelhead chopper with a jockey shift using the easy pull clutch ironically. All part of the plan bro, but I’m still learning about about all that stuff.

Riding with one hand, i understand the itchy nose problem. Currently riding an automatic bike so I can scratch my nose when stopped, but its not ideal. Manual is more fun. Have you thought about using a rekluse style clutch? Its a lot of money just to scratch your nose though.

Rekluse doesn’t make the auto clutch for bikes as old as this without doing a full primary conversion which doubles the cost of the auto clutch unfortunately

@@Battlebotmoto Yea, it looks like they dont make one for any of the bikes I am interested in. Did you check with EFM Auto Clutch. Their website claims "Available for any type of bike, including old style clutch, pans, shovels and knuckles." Says "Starts at $745" if you supply the clutch plates an basket. Twice that if they do. From what I get from the website, they build an automatic clutch to fit in any clutch basket you send them. How true that is, I have no idea.

You're making some very fundamental mistakes of motorcycle riding... specifically, you're breaking my #1 rule... #1 You want to be expanding the distance between you and all other objects stationary and moving as much as possible. If you're worried about a car you're driving right next to you that does not see you or is looking at their instagram, what is the solution? Stay as far away from them as possible.
