Ive been charging my aa nimah batteries with an 18650 lithium charger and they do charge ok but im worried i might damage the batteries or the charger. Is it safe to charge them with this charger
Many chargers will list which type of batteries and which chemistries are compatible. I would say as long as it is charging them properly then it's okay. Most lithium ion chargers except NIMH as well.
@@Lightsngear thanks for the reply I thought this was the case although it doesn't state anything other than lithium it does charge them and they don't get hot either but takes a really long time
this ''Ultrafire'' brand at first ptobable was not fakery but later was denigrated with all of fakes; on Ali is a site of them and probable there they sell real batteries [but also on Ali are at least 10+ ''shops'' where is selled this ''red/white'' vesion of fake
Charging an AAA battery is problematic. They don't sit well. You need to place them hanging, and should they move they will not charge. I contacted the supplier and they sent new pins. But not sure how to open the unit to replace them. Now they are unreachable. Anyone was able to open the case?
Hi thanks for the review just ordered one .how long would I expect to take this to charge 2 21700 35amp batterys just to give me a idea how long I would expect thanks 👍
... It's a v bad design (a little unsafe), I still have mine, never got to even use it properly. it got hot, shorted, and that was it. Wont function anymore. (I never really liked the design personally, all to smooth and slipper for real world use. I was going to gift it)!.
It's really odd that the light doesn't make use of the 8 flood leds in moonlight or low mode but instead only uses the center throw led which gives you a way too focused beam that is hardly useable for EDC tasks like illuminating the path in front of you or other close objects, weird. Apart from that major design flaw the light is quite amazing for dog walking purposes (half press to search for your dog, full press to deter other dogs from approaching). I removed the clip to assemble the lanyard.
Yup! That's exactly the way i felt for years "But" i bought this Nitecore EDC33 knowing that the battery will probably still be going ok in 10-12 years or more just as i had a 10 Year old 18650 which still charged up to 4.19v and worked fine. there's also the fact that i don't have to stuff around with batteries all the time, it's just in there & always charged ready to go. When you have over 150 batteries & over 300 lights its nice to just plug it into USB type C & that's it. Now im waiting for the older brother to come on the market, the EDC35 21700 5000Lm.
@@Lightsngear Mexico Suscriber sorry for my english... You own many lamps. its normal Warm or very hot ? i have some many lamps too, always worried for high temp and risk of burning batt.
I have keep power 18650,s that are probably 10 years old and have probably never really been used , do you think there still good and how would I know if there not ? I recently ordered a nitecore SC4 because I was told they tell you if a battery needs to be replaced , Iam hoping ........... its obvious that Iam no electronic guru .....lol
The only way to know for sure is to put them in a charger and see what happens. If they're 10 years old and haven't been used they might be completely dead but many chargers can revive dead batteries. Keep power is a good brand.
Thank you for responding , I did what you said actually yesyerday with four of the batterys thus far and all for still had 80% of their power still , so I just topped them off , I still have others to do , Iam sure most if not all will come out the same ........ Iam waiting on my SC4 I just ordered to try it out.@@Lightsngear
I have watched this video three times. Just keep thinking I am missing something. No.. Non-conductive grease to clean, lub metal electrical connection. NO NO NO NO .. Use good old 99 percent alcohol to clean, and then DeOxit Red to Lub. You could use the DeOxit grease which has copper particles but I would not, you want clean metal on metal connections for a flashight connection. Could use the non-conductive grease with the o-rings, maybe that is the confusion.
I am disappointed with mine...that beam is miserable if you need to get good light on something 40 or more yards away. Just not enough hotspot in that beam...it is all flood.
A hotspot at 40 yards isn't possible with a light of this size. You'll need something larger. I suggest checking out the Wuben C2, which has a tight center SPOT, and will reach the distance you require; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vtQ5i40I2Q0.html
@@Lightsngear Don't tell me, I have other AA lights that certainly have much more intense light at 40yds. You don't have to have a larger light to have more light in the center at 40yrds.
I've had a coupletimes where the olights dont want to recharge until Imtake the tailcap off and put it back on. It can run for.months without needing a recharge.
That's unfortunate, but maybe you don't have to completely remove it. Try just loosening it until the connection is lost, then tighten it again and see if that helps.
@@Lightsngear I'm not complaining. Along as you remember, it isn't a big deal. If people toss them because they didn't try, it would be a waste. They are very smart lights.
A man with a BRAIN, and he is actually using the thing. HOORAY! Most people will do anything to avoid using their most powerful organ. Before you buy, make sure that the word "ALKALINE" is printed on the battery. If another chemical is printed, then it then it is a Zinc Carbon battery. I.e., you will be paying extra for a giant step back into the 1950s. Um, does anyone know how I can buy an ACTUAL LITHIUM phone battery? After 5 or 6 tries on Amazon, I have been ripped off every time! The fakes are alkaline. Alkaline can be recharged a few times, but it will never last as long, -plus, it is dangerous.
this is one of my faviour flashlights that i own very cool i love it i got the green version and i only paid 40 dollars for this light like 4 years ago lol
We’re would one get replacement led bulb replacements ? Like the whole peace that goes inside we’re you wouldn’t have to solder any thing in. We’re that it would just run off 1 3.7 battery or a unit that would run off 2 battery’s I have flashlights that I need a replacement light unit to go inside of them . Ever we’re I’ve seen there more expensive than just buying a new one ! I would just like to fix the ones I have there’s nothing wrong with them . Great video by the way . I have a couple bushnell flash lights rechargeable and a nice garberiel that runs off 2 26650 7200 mAh it is adjustable but I have two that require I 18650 each I need the led unit for and 1 that takes 2 16650s !
5 hours is about the same time it takes to recharge a 5000ma battery for an average mobile phone from flat so that charger is average for that type of battery
man this is one of the best ligths for the money back 4 years ago lol im pretty sure i only paid 40 dollars for this light with no battery so yeah love it so much i just replaced the leds in it yesterday so im happy
lol i got me the green one like 4 years ago so ive been happy with it lol i didnt understand how to use this light so i never used it and i put it away for years until i seen a video about others having trouble using these types of lights and then i noticed its because there smart lights lol so yeah now that i know how to use ANDRUIL i love these ligths and ove been buying fron sofirn for years now lol too cool but yeah i had to replace all 3 leds ont this light because i ripped the leds wright off the board when i was taking apart the bessel so yeah b carful if you open this light you might ripp off the jell to the domed LEDS lol
Thanks for the review. Is there an option for the flashlight to blink? I'm riding my bike in daytime. I feel that if the flashlight will go on and off every second or so drivers will see me better.
Thanks for the question. The Anduril firmware usually offers several flashing options, one of which is "bike flash". My ec01 is set to ramping, and 3 clicks activates SOS. Initially though I think you're referring to strobe.
You have to click the switch in a specific way. It's kind of frustrating to do but not impossible. The way I've been able to do it in the past, is to click the switch but hold for a second before double clicking. I would say to experiment a bit by doing a holding press with a double click.
I started charging a 21700 battery 2 hours ago and it's only at 3.7v with 1037mah been put in the battery so far.. is this normal? My single efest charger charges my 21700 in just over an hour
What is the amperage that's going into the battery? It's the amount of power going into the battery that will determine how long the charge will take. I wouldn't be too concerned I'm sure with time it will charge correctly.
@@30poundbag84 I didn't see your reply right away but I hope the battery charged okay. That .5 amperage was a little low but I'm sure it would eventually complete the charge.
Love the charging cable makes it super easy I would say it’s a little heavy. It won’t stick on the wall horizontally, but the magnet strong enough to hang above you if you’re working on something like a car engine or something. I’m an electrician an I love the copper can’t wait for the wear of every day caring It’s pretty sick and thinks I didn’t know it was waterproof. Also, you can lock it so it’s not in your pocket but I’ve never had it come on in my pocket my coworker has my first one that I got, and he said it did turn on one time
To lock it holding it for two seconds, until the moonlight comes on, and keep holding it until it turns off the red should comes on indicating that it’s locked
