Hi Phoebe, I really like your Viet vlogs! I’ve been watching them for research because my family and I will be visiting soon and we are excited to look at a few of your suggestions! I wanted to ask about that visa link you mentioned as I couldn’t find it linked in your descriptions.
and the other side of the shock was hk was a country that really FULL OF THE CULTURE like the food the language of even the MTR,and its really a great place that u may wanna to know deeply
Just curious when you went there exactly? My GF and I are going to be there last weekend in Oct- 1st week Nov. and we wanted to see some leaves changing. I saw the trees outside looked bare.
I thought I knew a good bit about The City. I had never heard of Pebble Beach before. I knew about the one in California because I love golf, but had never heard of that one. I will have to check it out when I am there soon.
I love the stuff but ut wrecks me. A bus load of my friends abd I went down to Dublin for a night some years ago. We had a great night, but the bus journey home the next day was loooonnnggg for a number of reasons. 😂 I always make a point of having one or two when I am down there.
If you’re ever in Thailand again, before embarking on your exploration, visit a local health store and get coconut oil tablets. They’ll help coat your stomach and reduce the risk of food poisoning and parasites.
As soon you mentioned pashmina i knew you were in North of India getting scammed the same has happened within our family about 20 years ago, the few states in North haven't really changed much except for few IT hubs or cities, the scams are still extremely rampant there. If you look like an obvious foreigner or they get an hint that are you from India but not a local they'll stop at no end to sell you all kinds of stuff forcefully, this is equivalent of indirectly getting robbed. Happens in rest of the India too, but a few states up in North combined beat the rest of the India easy-peasy by a huge margin in terms of absolute numbers. I know it is still India at the end of the day, but it's just not all of it. Activities like these probably put a huge dent in whatever little tourism this country gets. Old Delhi and majority of BIMARU states will never change even 100 years from now, staying like that is cultural identity to them, if you suggest otherwise you are a anti-nationalist & traitor. As Indian myself i have never been to that part of India for almost decades now, it's a big country. Most Foreigners go through this country within a span of week, no wonder it's shock to their mental state, especially when they go to the poorer parts of the country.
Great work! This is one of the great NZ trip video I've come across. Makes me wanna come fast to NZ be a Kiwi. The videography, the places are so great. Kudos!!
Hate to say this, but Indian men are extremely creepy and horny. There are countless ways to prove that a lot of us Indian men never grow the hell up, our "maturity psychological clocks" never tick in and we remain fixated with that "teen wet dreams" phase for almost our entire lives. The item songs for example that we have here, and how so so so so many men in India watch them, which explains why Indian cinema keeps making these cringey and pathetic songs reducing women to vegetables. Our boys locker room talks are vile and disgusting to the point when even I as a man at times felt like vomitting. Like, this is not an appreciation of beauty for women, this is outright demonic fantasies. You need a meritorious badge of bravery to even consider travelling alone in India, as a woman.
I'd suggest only the North East, Himalayan states (Ladakh, J&K, Uttarakhand and Himachal) and Bangalore/ Mumbai ..for solo women travellers P.S: it was awful just listening to her ordeal; can't even imagine how she would've felt :(
Dude are you nts, what's learning hindi or culture has to do with all of this ? She shouldn't have that kind of experience regardless if she knows hindi or not, what about the foreigners who don't even know english ? most of the guys jumping on her out of nowhere already knew elementary level english and understood she was distressed with their behavior and just wanted to leave the place immediately, yet they still kept chasing her in a damn car, you have blls call her to be culturally enriched and enlighten next time to not face this.
What has learning Hindi to do with it?? Check with Hindi speaking girls and women , about Eve teasing, whistling and other abuses on roads. It has got nothing to do with language. Big part of why it happens is Bollywood and reduction of women to sensuous object by Bollywood over decades.
Kensington Market is a very special place. Incredible food, shops, and culture. It is extremely cool and in my top place to visit multiple times a year. On a hot summer day, you do not feel like you are in Toronto. If you come to Toronto, this is a must visit. Thanks for covering it. ♥♥♥♥
Beamish is a Waaaaaay better option to Guinness. It is more chocolaty and more Patriotic, Arthur Guinness and a lot of his descendants were supporters of the English Occupation of Ireland 🇮🇪,,,ironic l know
Wow, those animal shots were amazing. Those brother lions remind me of my dogs, being affectionate and playful. Thanks, Phoebe, I've been watching your channel for a while now, and I just love some of the places you visit and some of the food you eat looks sooo good. It's my dream to travel one day too! Your channel is inspiring, keep up the good work.
Also travel in groups . Atleast 2 to 3 people. And if travelling alone do not book anything less than 3 to 4 star and cabs from same facility. They are refined. If you wanna save money then only travel in groups. Also wear clothes which cover most of your body. Unless you are in Goa or inside 5 star property.
Better yet do not travel to anywhere near ganges or even the entire gangetic plain, for rest of the India travel in groups of at least 3-4 if you absolutely want the cultural enrichment, preferably at least a single man in the group who is also low on agreeableness, so you guys won't be swayed away by stingy scammers or tour guides. Want even better advice don't come to this country for the next 20-30 years and maybe even certain parts (BIMARU) of this country for the next millennium even then it's doubtful for the BIMARU.
No need to go to extremes, as written in other comment , India is safe as per area, localities, type of communities , time of day, night outs alone is not safe anywhere, type of transportation, lighting on roads etc. India has safe pockets but even they change as per time of day and people there. Even in big metro cities there are no go areas, even in safest city Mumbai (of India) you have such pockets which are unsafe.”, so better study this country well and then travel.

Hi Phoebe, discovered your video just in time! I’m going to explore Udaipur on our own in October. May I ask (1) how I can do the boat ride? (I want to stop at the little island with elephant sculptures that you did too. Do I need to book the boat ride tickets in advance so that I can do the sunset ride? Where can I board the boar ride?)
I am a senior Western woman who travelled to India alone. I have been travelling for over 2 decades and India is the only country that I say-AVOID do not go to anyone who is female or who rejects oppression and harassment of women. I even felt unsafe in my accommodation. I found it a hostile environment with lots of scams and lies. The only place I felt safe and treated respectfully was Amritsar.
I loved Ireland, I did a Contiki and it was incredible. Also stayed a few days in Ireland. Got to really enjoy the countryside like Kilkenny and county Cork, I would happily go back one day. 🩷 Can't wait to see where you go next!
Love Dublin and Ireland in general. I've been twice, once for a solo adventure where my sister met me later on and then I had to go again for my honeymoon. So much fun - the people, the atmosphere, the food, the history are just amazing.
