I have a record dr 6 and have been using the mofi super wash with it and have had good results, but wanted to ask if you had used the record dr fluid. they gave a small bottle with the unit and had good results with that, too. they sell fluid replacement pre-made and also concentrate which you mix with distilled water. any thought or experience would be appreciated!
Ok you bad mouthed wood glue, have you ever tried it? I have and had no problems and I cleaned at least 50 of them. It worked great! The down side is you have to wait for the glue to completely dry. For my cleaning area that was 48 Hrs. Try taking it off before it is completely dry and you will ruin the record. That was down side 1, down side 2 it's expensive. So now I only use it as a last resort. I'm not recommending it to anyone, just think you should try something before running off at the mouth about it!
You need to put a microscope on your records afterwards. Lots of contamination left that your eyes can’t see. However, like medicine, there are times when glue’s positives far outweigh the negatives. In cases of severely screwed up records, like motor oil and other things that a simple wipe isn’t getting out of the groove, wood glue would be a last resort. However, in the video I mentioned, they were using it like a regular dust cleaning method, which I would never recommend.
@@scientificaudiophile First let me say I don't want to offend you, having said that, I am a plain spoken person. Over all you gave good advice in your video. If the grading standard for vinyl was to put it under a microscope for visual grade most new records would have to be graded VG+. It's not what the eyes see that counts, it's what the ears hear that's important. Every wet cleaning method leaves something behind, except plain old distilled water. Most people clean based on what they see instead of what they hear and over clean. Anyway thanks for getting back to me, Ron
I bought this Amp too without big expectations...but i was a little impressed how good it sounds. After i have seen this Video, i did the separation test too...Nothing....absolute Silent when i played the right channel. Maybe they fixed it with an firmwarepdate? As an High-End Audiophile i hate to admit...but it sounds very good (in my combination).
This is a Great Case and point this Klipsch Rp1600 subwoofer is Not worth what they ask.Some are having problems with this Class D plate amplifier New !! Mine only lasted 3 sort months so for almost $2,000 bucks this is a old build design I have someone in great knowledge of electronics take a look this is what he discovered. Okay here's some Logic for thought can you honestly tell me anyone in their right mind can think that a power cable going from the AV to the wall outlet a 6-ft cable could actually make a difference what about all the cable from the meter can up until that outlet doesn't that make a big difference aaaa No.

My Yamaha s501 has a Cerwin Vega U-351 sound because that what they are powering. By the way some times I have to cut the bass back a step back. Great video. Everyone's taste and ears are different that's why there are much to choose from in the stereo world. I go for quality,sound and affordability when I choose stereo equipment.
Hey, I've been looking a bit more into subwoofers lately, and stumbled upon the existence of HSU VTF-NT1. It seems like a "sounds too good to be true" subwoofer, so would be awesome to get an unbiased review of it!
I'd have to listen to this on proper speakers, not my cheap earbuds. A sounded distant and a little weak in the bass. B sounded the best except the bass was boomy, yes it could be the earbuds. C actually sounded more present than A but was weak in bass. I'd like to hear this test with a chamber orchestra on my speakers at home.

I have a $500 dac/amp setup at home and I listen to that through an inexpensive streamer, lossless files to one of my many headphones ranging in price to less than $50 to $2000. Out of curiosity I went to a local audio shop and listened to some headphones over a $7500 system. Did it sound good? Sure. Did it sound better? Nope. Went home with a big smile on my face.
Amazing the type of features & performance we can get these days for what I consider to be cheap in price vs days past. I moved my RME into my main living room system a little over a year ago. I literally love that device. Plus it has just enough PEQ tabs to dial in my speakers.. allowing me to let go of my Dirac & minidsp boxes. Great review & chat about the SMSL
In my case, i bought the wiim amp and replaced the existing 5 year more expensive old onkyo. Better result because i can now equalizer the room and speakers using the built in auto room correction and eq. Besides, 95% of the time i don't listen at the very high volumes where headroom becomes an issue, but i also used the sub management in the app to cut off bass at 35 hz so as not to waste head room. The result is good so although the amplifier does have the problems you list, the father brilliant app mitigates most.
I use bluetooth really lets you know how good dac is ! If the bluetooth is killer like ifi gryphon n smsl su_x you know your jaw drop and mind blown and su x best delta sigma ess ive ever heard. 😮😮😊
Absolutely correct. What I wouldn’t give to hear the difference between two power cables or usb cables, that throughout the human hearing range can not be measured by our latest test equipment! Those reviewers are Gods! Pray at their 🦶 ! Yes, I am very jealous as they can do what no one else can. If they could do it in a blind test, now that would make me even more jealous than I already am.
I used to think Passion for Sound was a well meaning innocent, and felt bad that you were being mean to the lad. @@scientificaudiophile I see all the poetic, flowery language, golden eared reviewers as just repeating learned behavior. Fortunately in the last five years or so the audiophile community has trended toward more educated consumers and vast amounts of data being made available to them. I think Amir creating ASR has likely been the biggest driving force to bring about the change so love him or hate him he's done a great deal to push the hobby and community forward.

Yeah, but I really want that Sith Audio power cable. I love spending money on useless things that I can't appreciate, but only get to brag about to my buddies.
