Thanks To Calvary I don’t live in darkness and sin anymore. The Lord intervened in the lives of my parents and praise God they listened to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and came to Christ and then chose to live for him. Because of their decision to follow the Lord’s leading, I was raised the son of a preacher and grew up in the ministry of God and became a Christian myself at a very young age.
My favorite hymns from the pen of Fanny Crosby are: Blessed Assurance Near The Cross Rescue The Perishing Tell Me The Story All The Way My Savior Leads Me My Savior First Of All Saved By Grace Savior More Than Life To Me Close To Thee Safe In The Arms Of Jesus Pass Me Not,O Gentle Savior Jesus Is Tenderly Calling Thee Home Redeemed, How I Love To Proclaim It Praise Him, Praise Him To God Be The Glory
My mother was a church pianist as well.We used stand around the piano and sing the old hymns.Oh in heaven we can do that again.I have such a great love for the piano.
Your music is a great blessing. I was privileged to be married to a pianist of comparable talent as yours for 47 years and I think of her everytime you touch the keyboard! Thank you and keep it up.
Love this song. Did you have a background instrument as well? You play so beautifully. I have a piano and my mom played it so well. She played by ear too. Her mom, and grandpa all played by ear as well. One person from each generation had the gift. I too play by ear and I played with my mom all the time. It’s what I miss most. Hearing her play was my favorite thing ever. I don’t play as well but this past year I have been really working on it. It’s been rough. But I love the piano. I inherited my mom’s piano and it is the most important heirloom I’ve ever had.
I love your beautiful hymns you play Praise the Lord we still pray them in our church. I play organ in our church right I a rehab for a total shoulder replacement. I can’t wait to get home back to God’s special music and playing for my lord again. Thank you so much for the beautiful hymns you play. May the Lord bless you
Thank you for this lovely medley of Fanny J. Crosby. I love her songs and have done many of these tunes on RU-vid. Keep up the beautiful work and God bless.
I came across this video today and had to listen to it. My heart has been so heavy since February when I lost my brother. I am the only one left from our family now, parents nd 8 siblings gone and we were the closest two. I am just so lost without him. Thank you for you wonderful music.
I could tell you were feeling everything you played but you were really in to "IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL" I could see you mouthing the words and wished you would have just belted it out. I LOVE listening to you play, I always wanted to play the piano nd took lessons for a while but with taking care of parents and working just didn't seem to have the time to practice. You are a real blessing to older folks like myself. God Bless you as you minister to us through his music.
God bless you. I cannot express how your music touches me and takes me back70+ years when I was none and in church prayer meetings and church fellowship. Unfortunately, where I live now, church fellowship is not possible, so that's why your channel is so important to me. I would love to fellowship with you all, but being 7000+ miles away that is not likely. Thank you.
I’m 80 so I’ve been a Baptist for a long time. “We’ve a Story to Tell to the Nations” was used a lot in G. A.’s (Girls Auxiliary) which was a Wednesday night activity while the adults had prayer meeting. It was always sung for missions emphasis services too. But it was kind of our GA theme song. They don’t have GA’s any more. I think they’ve substituted something called Awanas. I hear my grandchildren mention that from time to time.
Many people go to church for the wrong reasons. I was in touch on RU-vid with a UK man who said that with all the turmoil going on now in the UK, it almost drove him to religion. One comment was from a man in the UK who said; I started going back to church for the society and values taught there, not for the faith. It breaks my heart to think so many people do not accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. It is not the church that saves them, but acceptance of the gift of salvation through Christ's grace, free to all.
I am brought to tears by your music. The years of fellowship in a Christian church come flooding back. As I live in the Philippines now, there is no Protestant/holiness church for me to go to, so it is a blessing to hear your music. God bless you.
After Hearing So Many Amazing Graces The Advanced Version You Played Was By Far The Best. Thank You Natalie Time To Practice For My Upcoming Performance Of Amazing Grace On Piano At The Salvation Army.
When you play the G# below middle c its much more beneficial to keep your thumb off the accidental it will provide a much better hand postion and not create so much tension with the hand postion. If you use substitution especially with the right hand you will save a lot of unnessecary moving and hopping around. Check out the book How to play gospel piano by Gail Smith there are several pages of fill in material for both hands.
