Hi! I'm Evi. I'm an Aussie artist and adventurer. I'm one of those weirdos seeking to be a jack of all trades/ master of none. I think life's too short not to try everything. I make adventure videos and so hope you'll follow along for my self-deprecating humour, hiking shenanigans and whatever else I decide to chuck on here. Best, Evi xx
The term hamburger ultimately comes from a Hamburg steak (ground beef patty) from Germany. We stuck it between two buns and the name survives the change. So, in keeping with the background of hamburger, a chicken breast is not even close to a ground beef patty and it is not, therefore, a hamburger when served in a bun.
See I genuinely appreciate the history lessons and context I get from posting something a touch controversial. WE ARE DIFFERENT IN OZ but I will respect the protocols here!! Thanks for the info!
Fun fact: Enchanted Rock 65 million years ago was actually an island in the Western Interior Seaway which was a sea that spanned from the Gulf of Mexico to the arctic cutting North America in half.
Hey Macele, I've lived here for a year now and I think it just took some getting used to and a quick trip home to tend to the homesickness. Moving overseas is new and exciting but there's also a lot of hard work that comes with it and I didn't anticipate the extent of it all! 2023 is off to a fantastic start and I'm prioritising doing work that aligns with my values and seeing more of what Texas has to offer! Love my local Texan buddies and grateful for all they're teaching me ☺️✨
@@itseviruz That is fantastic to hear. I hope it's all downhill from here on. And I appreciate the personal response, and I mean this unironically but that is very Texan of you. 🤗 One thing we Texans forget to talk about is how punishing the weather can be. We sell the great food and awesome people, etcetera, but forget to tell folks that they could die if they don't take account of the climate. Good luck and thanks again.
You might find a turkey burger, but I doubt you'll find anywhere in Texas offering a chicken burger. That will always be a sandwich here. You might find a lamb burger or maybe a buffalo burger (which is really bison). Future trips to San Antonio, they have a really nice botanical garden there, and you should visit the missions along the Mission Trail.
Y'all do have some damn good burgers! I just have to remember the correct terminology 😂 Thanks for the recommendation! Will be back for a second dose in the near future methinks ☺️
This is great Evi - very impressed with the shooting and editing here and your latest vid! Seeing America through the lens of you two is fab 💖 also Americans are so damn weird. Hope you’re having fun and staying safe xxxxxxxxx
Means a lot coming from you mate! They really are but I'm learning a hell of a lot and we're lucky to have some brilliant friends too 💞 Hope you two are happy and healthy and having a grand old time too!! 🥰 Xoxoxo
Thanks for sharing! May I ask one thing? I am going to do Bibbulmun soon, but just one thing that I can not swim and it makes me soooo scary to do the Kayaking the boat …. Is it difficult? Can I do it😱😰
The canoes were very stable and there should be life jackets so it's easily doable. The biggest risk is getting in and out of them at the bank If you have opportunity before your trek try and see if you can hire one first just so you are over the mental anxiety bit. If it's stupidly windy and choppy my original comment might not apply. That might mean the beach walk option but I don't recall the detail of that.
Hi Hi Sunny! I'll echo Bob's comment below (apologies for the late reply!) I found the kayaks to be very stable despite the windy conditions although it certainly worked my arms paddling! I'd also recommend hiring a kayak prior to the hike just to practise the arm motions so you can be more confident moving over the crossing in the event there is a stronger current. I did most of my hiking in July so I can't comment as to how the crossing and the weather may be during the earlier months of the year. I hope you have a brilliant time! It's easily one of the best things I've done in my life!
Beautiful scenery in this one Kettle! So glad to see the final leg :) thanks for the shout out! I'm so grateful for your support on my AT hike too. Hope to see you again soon one day for another hike xx
Absolutely Tyler. Just before I hitchhiked from 5kms North of Parrys Beach I couldn't feel my hands. Definitely have had some very chilly nights out there but am super grateful for my new sleeping set up.
@@itseviruz thats awesome! if it happens again, you should document the shivering/cold to show it. i'd love to see that. great stuff tho! cant wait to see more from you!
