Love your video! been considering rod and staff but add takes over as well thank you for sharing. Schoolhouse rock has wonderful videos! old school and catchy too!
Omg!!!!! I know I have ADHD. But I didn’t know that the paralysis I always feel that feels like just as you described it was related.. I call it cryptonite! Just like superman felt weak when cryptonite was present! Sometimes it is so hard I cry and regret the moment I decided to tidy up… wow.. I feel like you finally gave me a name for what I have. You opened my eyes. Thank you Trish!! Big hug to you sister!
Just started subscribed and started watching this. So excited. I homeschooled my first child and then worked public school board. Now, I am switching back to start homeschooling journey again with my youngest. Looking forward to hearing your perspective. So many mixed feelings. Burn-out is real!
Thank you so much for taking the time to show these in detail! As a homeschooling mom considering wether to move on to first grade with this curriculum or repeat kindergarten, it is EXTREMELY helpful to be able to really see what the content is about in order to make that decision. Thank you!!!
Hi Trish, thank you for sharing...are the websites still available where you are because in the UK it's showing as 'Thank you & farewell! Blessed Herbs is closing our doors for good'.
I so agree with you. Watching your videos is like visiting with an old friend who's also been through it all. We lost my MIL in 2020, than my husband's only uncle in 2022 then my FIL a year ago. I feel like we've been on autopilot for at least a year, if not 4. I finally told our coop we're taking next year off, and I felt this HUGE weight lift iff of me. My kids are so excited about next year too, which I didn't anticipate!! Hugs. I totally agree with you. We have used ACE and I have felt guilt because using that made our lives NOT revolve around homeschool.
I’ve used ACE 4 years and it seems this year he’s burning out from it. So I am going to try CLE next year. I tested him on the level for CLE and he tested to be going into level 4 where we’ve been doing 4th level ACE. We won’t get finished this year in ACE either.
I have watched your channel for many years and love your coffee chats and the updates you do on your life as a stay at home mom/wife it’s nice to know there are other moms just going though the same things as me.
I kept telling people that i was struggling with bad day dreaming I couldnt explain it Then a random youtube short (i dont watch mental health videos) talked about disassociation and immediately wanted to cry tears of joy! I had a word to describe how i feel
Good to see you! I can totally relate, as perimenopause h*ll has sent my ADD into overdrive and I'm exhausted! I was diagnosed at 17 and have never been on meds, but I might finally need them over 30 years later.
Has power homeschool been a good fit for your adhd kids? We are considering that for next year. Also just thought I would share, Dana K White's book and podcast has really helped me. It's crazy how much stress relief comes from throwing junk away 😂
As always....greatly appreciate your updates Trish...😍💞Maybe go ahead and post that vid on how you were going to implement curricula anyway. It may quite possibly end up helping others in their home education endeavors. PS: 🙏🙏 Praying with you all... lifting both your Mum & Katie up in Jesus name...
“I need them out of my face “. Lol. I can sooo relate. It’s normal to feel that way. We need time to care for ourselves so we can care for them better.
You’re not a quitter at all!!!! Please don’t you think so. NO. You are making the best decision so you can be of better service to yourself and your family. And you are saving not only yourself before you fall apart, but saving your whole family
Hello! Can you please explain how you do in the US when it comes to higher studies (college/university) if you are homeschooled. In Sweden, Europe, homeschooling is forbidden.
I meant to thank you for a long time for presenting the RC curriculum a few years ago. I'm an immigrant and not a native English speaker. Just wanted to let you know it really worked for us and it saved our homeschool through the years of sickness and then the loss of my spouse and my parents. Kiddo is almost finished with the Saxon Calculus at 16. He worked alone his way through each book, often in hospital waiting rooms. We tweaked the curriculum a little from time to time and adjusted the reading list. We also used the old spelling books you presented a few years ago. So, thank you again because I probably would have never found RC without you! Take care of yourself!
I love how you're so honest. This resonates with me so much! I homeschool and feel the same! And life always throws us curveballs, and it's like, ahhh!!! I love how you just roll with it. You have to! ❤
