Good that I found this video - I am using the myQ at the moment as well and looking into switching to something that fits into the Apple Home Universe. This here seems to be a nice fit. Thanks for sharing your experience!
"The Nanoleaf patent saga is a testament to the intricate relationship between technology and legal frameworks. Here's hoping for a resolution that fosters a thriving ecosystem of innovation in the smart home sector."
thanks for the video. Any idea if I can install the cameras remotely eg. my wifes phone that she is physically on the property at the moment, and then she gives also access to mine?
Have you used homekit to automate or create a scene when you arrive home that the garage door opens? I have tried multiple ways and they all look right but the door never opens when i arrive. Any thoughts? Opener or homekit issue?
DO NOT BUY. I bought 4 for indoor use while I’m travelling. One small power cut and the cameras all fail to reconnect to the wifi so they are totally useless now.
I got a 2 pack of these and 1 would not stay connected to wifi. After a back and forth with tech support that was like pulling teeth they FINALLY sent one out....one that didn't work at all. Then they ignored each and every email for 10 days. Do your 1 star Amazon review research, people. Check home many complain about poor customer service. It's totally a crapshoot with them.
Thank-you for your video. If anyone can assist, I have a few questions: 1) Should you (or do you need too) download and add them to the Nanoleaf APP FIRST, before adding them to HomeKit? 2) If added the globes to the HomeKit App, without them being in the Nanoleaf APP, can the firmware updates still be performed? (Or are firmware updates ONLY DONE in the Nanoleaf APP?) 3) Will they connect to a HomeKit network that does NOT have any Thread enable HomePod devices on the network? (Assuming you only have two HomePod 1's on the network) Many thanks
Probably would be a better video if you ran through it first so you knew what you were doing prior to recording. You lost me in your struggles and muttering.
It would be nice if you showed us how to add the device to the Eufy App. I'm having a few issues with getting mine to link to the Wi-Fi and was expecting this video to show that.
Hi Josh love you work and apple advocacy :-) . I’m looking at purchasing the Camera Aqara pro and would like it to stream Wirelessly to Twitch or RU-vid . Is this possible through this camera maybe via the HomeKit application or up address etc thanks need help :-)
I think u should Hang a camera with an 3,6 mm lens by the garage door so its a little bit zoomed in more towards your cars because right now trust me at night whoever goes to your care u wont be able te recognize them ever
Do they automatically connect to your HomePod Mini when you connect them to your HomeKit? Or did you have to connect them in a different way? I’m new to smart house appliances and have always wanted to have Siri do everything haha so if you could give me a detailed explanation that would be great. Thank you.
Did you test the push notifications. I bought one of these (the wired model) and to be frank push notifications don’t work. The one time I got a notification it came 9 HOURS after we burned some burgers. Worse was that when it happened the sensors exposed in HomeKit did NOT show triggered either so the “smart” features have been useless
How good is it to use essential oils with it? Because vocolinc did specify to use water soluble essential oils which most of them being sold on the net (Amazon etc) aren't water soluble. Does it damage the device to use the regular essential oils?
I have two Eufy cameras and a doorbell and for some reason I seem to have issues connecting it to my HomeKit. I finally got it connected to my Apple HomeKit but now I can't see the cameras and my cameras are also not connecting to my home base 2. Anybody got any pointers?
The power cord looks ridiculous. Great product but when mounting to the ceiling something has to be done to hide the power cord, likely involving an electrician. I’m looking for ideas. Can’t simply have a cord dangling or even pinned to the wall, that’s WAY too ugly.
I’ve got 4 of them spread around the house. I’ve also got 2 HomePod mini’s that are supposed to improve how they work. I’m fed up of walking around in the dark. 80% to 90% of the time they are either unresponsive, updating or unavailable. Not got time for joining forums try to solve troubleshooting. I need a product that works out of the box and Hue seems to do the trick.
