It's a lot more fun when you take off from RW9 (or towards RW27) Also I wonder if SAN gets sensationalized as one of the "most dangerous airports" is because whoever wrote those things thinks the plane has to land near the edge of where the pavement starts and they don't realize RW27 has like a 1/3rd of a mile of threshold where you're not supposed to touch down on.

I have not flown for over 20 ++ years. But used to practice briefing for Innsbruck. In the box or with something to give them the shits it was good esp using an NDB as the preferred weapon of annoyance 😅
