Either bad connection to the paddle shifter or clock spring connection. Any lights on the dash? I would start by disassembling everything you removed and reinserting.
Thanks bro. Was going to run the wires for my rc350. Def dont want that wire in front of the side curtain airbag. If youre going to pop the pillar might as well run it behind the airbag
Bro that came out looking nicer than before, the original silver emblem looks kinda stale, this black one really makes it stand out nicely. Just wondering how was the tinting process? Would you be able to walk me thru it quickly. Im wondering how you applied it and got it looking smooth and how you cut it to shape perfectly. Cheers
Appreciate it! I didn’t video tape it, but used some videos on RU-vid. Basically, you clean the emblem, get a spray bottle with water, saturate the emblem. Once wet, lay the vinyl piece starting from the inside, working your way slowly to the outside. Take an exacto knife and trim the edges. The emblem still sticking til this day without any need to redo.
It was a great idea to tint it, gives it a nice cool stealth look and less factory. Im wondering how you trimmed the edges lol. Did you cut right where it curved or did you bring the vinyl over the edge and cut it from almost the back of the emblem if you know what I mean. Just want to make sure the best way to cut for longevity and minimize peeling of some sort.
I just cut on the edge when it starts to curve. I forgot to mention, use a hair drier/heat gun on low as well. Helps to mold the vinyl. You will see once you do it, the best place to cut.
have this diffuser too for my rc 350 just haven’t installed it yet do you have the specs for all those bolts that were given i didn’t get any with mine
I don’t think it will fit the RC 350, it’s a different bumper unless you did a rear bumper conversion. I do not have the bolt sizes, but any stainless steel bolt that fits inside of the 7 mm pilot holes should suffice.
Highly recommend always doing coils when possible. They’re engineered to work together. Changing stroke length of OEM struts using a spring will typically lead to more premature failure. Once that happens, you’ll get coils anyway. Or have to rebuild with labor the OEM setup for failure again. Buy once, cry once. They are stiffer than OEM and more performance oriented.
So sorry to hear of damage it hurts my heart lol I bought a 2015 rc f in Dec and I adore her I couldn’t imagine anyway car is gorgeous me n mine r till death do us part fav car
I really like them. Still minimal dust like shown on the video. Due to the increased bite, it doesn’t require as much pressure on the brake to have the same stopping power, which I love. Braking is butter, and has a LOT of stopping power. I never had to lockup/engage ABS during normal driving. I highly recommend them.
Thanks bro! I try to get something in whenever I find time. This particular install was random. I was tired of looking at it uninstalled with the possibility of getting broken/stepped on. The next day after that thought, I installed lol.
Thanks! A few US options: Mod In Japan PMD-VIP Meraki Autoworks There are other international suppliers as well that may be cheaper but have a longer wait time.
@V8Brah not too bad man. That would be about deductible and happy it was just that. As you can see, I just claim all these tires as disposable lol. I’m 0 for 2 with MDOT And TxDOT. Those tort laws are trash.
sorry to hear you and car went through that..but glad to hear your IS500 is good and back on the road….looking back do you think the slimmer tire profile may have contributed as a factor to the tire going out?
Appreciate it! I’m lowered so very seldom issues with scraping since I also have air cups in the front. But I rarely need to use them to clear the lip. Get some bumper guards for the lip. The under scraping cannot be seen overtop regardless though.
I live very close to that CVS and I was so surprised when you parked there. I wish I could’ve been a help! I remember I got a puncture a few days after I got a brand new set of tires😅 How was your experience with those DWS? I was debating between DWS and Michelin PSAS4 and went with PSAS. I have a white IS350 and I’ve been thinking of getting the orange plate as well. It looks good on your RCF. Matches nicely with your brake caliper 👍
Small world, what’s up man? I swear, these Maryland roads always got some shit in them. 💀 I try to buy from tire rack for this exact reason so I have that 2 year road hazard warranty at a minimum. DWS06 are all I ever run for all season. Never rode the others, I hear good things. But as far as performance, tread life, 0 road noise, and price? It’s a no brainer for myself and a LOT of others.
And thanks for the compliment! ✊🏽 This is my second white car. Second time I’ve had the orange plates. I would (for obvious reasons) do it. My guy Derrick at APAC can take care of your calipers if you need as well. Tell him I sent you.
@@BWItoATXFGood to know that you enjoy DWS. I got my set from costco when they had a promotion on michelin tires. The price ended up not that much different from DWS from tire rack. I definitely want to try DWS next time and see how they compare.
Good to see you back my brother, it's been a while. What a way to make an appearance! Looks like everything turned out well and no new damage to the ride.
Sounds awesome. Im currently running stock at the mo but want to meat up the sound but still want a decent daily that won't annoy you. Is there diff models or is there only one invidia for the rcf?
Appreciate it! The Invidia is probably one of the most tame and balanced catbacks for the platform. There is 0 drone, which is very important to me. Some other exhausts for the platform may give 0 drone, but cannot confirm. This is the only Invidia offering. Stainless steel tips or titanium tips.
You can definitely hear the improvement even when cruising externally or with the windows down. But there is no interior drone or annoyance with it. It really comes alive when you get it throttle. Very tame when you do not.
I noticed you didn't run the wire behind the air bag system on the pillar. I think that's a big safety risk that's just my opinion. I personally would take the extra step of routing whatever cable behind the airbag system. But I am glad you showed how to remove the trimming I have been hesitant on removing the trimming on my new to me rc-f.
Good call. I actually made that exact change after initial installation. I should def put that in the description. ALL trimming in the F are very forgivable. 100% recommend doing it.
Stock tire sizes, 20 front, 15 rear. I have a RU-vid video from a few years ago regarding the spacers. Videos for the front lip (AG style) and side splitters (Lexon)
I brought my rcf to Lexus of Austin a few months ago to see if i can get the carbon window trim replaced but they denied it and said it wasnt covered under warranty..
I have no complaints about it. Fit is good, diameter is all the way through. Definitely one of the best bang for your buck catback systems for the platform.
