I love Gouache and how an artist can layer with it for some really illustrative effects. I just finished collecting my range for the most part and it's a mix of M Graham, Winsor x Newton and Holbein. I love how your painting turned out! The flowers look so delicate and detailed. It's great!
Wonderful ideas for a reading journal, working quarterly rather than monthly is inspired. Love your little shop, couldn't resist a couple of the Tiny Bookshop items
I am starting with gouache after being quite Allright with watercolors. The thumbnail looked intimidating but you made it seem really doable! Thank you for this tutorial, can’t wait to look at others if your tutorials!
Since your comment is recent, I hope you don’t mind me asking you which gouache brand you’re using? the one im using is so bad quality there’s almost no color visible when I add the slightest bit of water. Any advice?
I loved watching this video, I love your style and really want to start painting and drawing like this. I used to do something similar to this a long time ago and you have shown me how much I need to get back to it. Great tutorial, thank you for sharing your talent with us!
This black background makes it look so luxurious especially with the gold paint on it and the red color you chose ❤. By the way Thanks for the fast shipping of the gorgeous washi tape with script on it. I totally adore it 🤍.
Haha I swear I use up the months before switching! 🤣 I just like to post the videos a bit earlier so that people have time to get nspiration before setting up their journals for the next month 😊
Hi Anna!🙋🏻♀️❤️✨ Thank you for making such a beautiful theme for my Birthday month! My favorite color is red. ❤🌹🏮💃🏻🥰 The foil paints added a perfect bit of shine! ✨🌟☀️ Thank you so much for sharing your amazing art!!! 😊 Love, Hugs, Blessings & Sparkles! ❤️🫂🙏🏻💖✨
I've always loved all the themes you've used a black background in, and this one is no exception. That cover page is GORGEOUS. The foil paints really elevated the painting to a whole other level. I especially love how the golden particles look at the center of the red flowers.
I have to admit I almost considered skipping Tower of Dawn when I found out (before starting to read it) it was mainly about my least favourite character of the series. But I'm glad I gave it a try as it ended up being my favourite book in the series 😂 Even though I did not "forgive" my least favourite character, he's still very much that, but instead I fell in love with Sartaq and that side of the story.
Loved this set up! also I would honestly say Assassins blade isn't necessary per say but You get a lot more context for a lot of the characters we meet mostly later on in the series and their history with the main character and some comments made in KOA will make more sense :) (theres a few character we meet quite early on in the series too though)
your reading journal is so cute! :) and don't worry about not reading as much as other content creators. you have given me so much inspiration with your spreads, thank you! :)
Love your spreads for you reading journal. You always make your pages look so very beautiful! I would not be worried about how much or how little you read. It is a very personal experience. I think it is wonderful that a person reads at all so keep doing what you are doing. It is perfect!!! I have read a few very good books lately but they are very different from the genre you read. I am not really into fantasy. I read “The Women,” by Kristin Hannah. What an amazing book!!!! It is quite a long book and I devoured it in 5 days. I just had to know what happened!! I also read a memoir my Reyna Grande called, “The Distance Between Us.” It was a beautifully told story about Reyna who grew up very poor in Mexico mostly with her mother because her father was always in the USA working to make money for the family. It is a story about hope even though the main characters go through some really tough times. Really good book. Enjoy the rest of your summer and thank you for a great video!!❤❤❤
Haha please excuse my incohesive, grammatically incorrect scribbling 🤣 I sometimes forget that people might actually read them. But yeah, literally everyone in ToG is so stubborn and dramatic, it creates the perfect air of chaotic spiciness lol
I am rereading acomaf and also reading the final empire... I loved tower of dawn . It was going to be a novella originally but it became a vital instalment in the series.. and a full on novel..
@@JournalAway ah. Right there with you... I am rereading it I think for the second time like after taking a very long break from sjm.. lol and annotating it for the first time... And I loveeeed it... Then I went on to the series reread.. lol on acowar currently.. But it good.. thankfully love the world and characters still... And understanding so much more...
