I see you refer to depth perception in another video whereas I believe that you may mean orientation. All good fun learning and building our own, 50 years experience at it.
This is the Flite Test Tutor. you can get the kit from the Flite Test store or you can buy the build plans from FTCA which stands for the Flite Test Community Association
I like your drive, you fly a hell of a lot better than I can. I bought a simulator, your a few years, tried getting this P-51 flying no go. I found out after teaching my self to fly on the simulator, I HAD THE CONTROLS SET BACK WORDS, I gave it up and went back to racing trucks, and drones. congratulations.
Thanks. I had a similar experience. when I first started flying I had the alirons backwards. if you want to get back into flying try the horizon hobby Sportcub S2
Good for you, you'll get it flying, I buy planes and still have trouble getting them to fly. your right bigger motor speed control and off you go, good luck. 👍👍
@@InspiringFlights-kk9pw to be honest i think the snow will go away soon ,but i still might try out a 3-motor rc plane this year (thanks for the idea👍)
Awesome flying. That plane looks and flies great. I just love Flite Test planes. I have been following them for many years since it was just Josh and Josh in their basement. After watching your flight, I think I am going to build one. A few years ago, I built the FT Bushwacker, another fun STOL plane from them. This plane is about the same size, and you make it look like it is just as fun. Well done.
Thank Bro! It’s always fun to fly with some one. My brother loves the German planes and I love the allied planes especially British so i thought that I would share that .
Very true… I keep trying to teach my friend how to fly but he doesn’t really care for it. He used to drive rc cars but now has gotten into other things.
Thanks Eli!! It took me a almost all yesterday to edit it. I woke up with a migraine headache so I spent all day in bed editing it. I haven’t been producing much content in the last few weeks so I’m trying to get back into it. I’m currently working on an British SE 5 I should be able to post the video in the next few weeks.
I’m glad that you liked the video. The plans are from someone on the Flite Test forum who goes by the name Grifflyer. I’m busy right now but I will send you a link tomorrow
I wonder if the Eachine Spitfire and the Sport Cub 500 can run off the same transmitter? I have the Sport Cub but haven't flown it yet. Your Spitfire looks fun and easy to fly.
I m not sure if the sportcub transmitter would work but it might. Yes the spitfire is a really great plane. You will probably find that you have more fun with it than the sport cub. But it is also less stable with no throttle.
Very good video. What battery are you using? Im coming from quads and looking to build the Tutor, and most of my batts are 4s 2200mah. And would you reccomend the Tutor as a first plane for a fixed wing newbie, looks like a good trainer to me. Keep up the good work, peace! ✌🏻
I’m glad you enjoyed the video… those batteries would definitely work but I wouldn’t recommend them for a beginner. They are going to produce a lot of thrust giving you a more 3d airplane. Honestly I don’t know how the Tutor behaves as a trainer because I didn’t put the trainer wing or motor on to it. It’s definitely worth giving it a shot. On plane that is a great trainer that I have flown is the Flite Test Tiny Trainer. Flite Test also has a Tiny Tutor that I’m sure would be a great trainer. If you have any questions feel free to ask
You should learn to throw the plane with your left hand. Set the throttle and throw it with your left hand while your right hand is on the stick to help you fly away once you throw it. I see so many people lose the plane while trying to find the right stick after throwing the plane with their right hand.
I’m with you bro the ft Tutor is amazing… it’s one of the best ft planes. Your right thhe wing is the turbo tutor wing… and I have the rates all the way at 100% but I do think I have 30% expo on them
@@InspiringFlights-kk9pw It might very well be but also be aware that having your prop far above the CoG is going to push the nose down - especially at high throttle/low speed such as during launch. Yes, been there done that :)
Thank you bro, I’m glad you enjoyed it. She told me all about you love for airplanes as well. Do you build your own airplanes out of dollar foam or just by them from the store?
@@InspiringFlights-kk9pw I haven’t built one in years. Build a balsa kit a while back. The kits you have and built look really cool. I have a bunch of big electric RC aircraft, we should go fly them sometime. Have the 2.2m Carbon Cub, 1.7m Tigercat and T-33 Shooting Star EDF, and many others
@@InspiringFlights-kk9pw Yeah they do! Love that channel. Those guys rock. Like their cardboard and foam aircraft designs. I’d like to build some of them.
They definitely do rock… it’s actually not cardboard but it’s a special brown water prof foam that they use. If you go to their website you can download some of there free plans… they also have a store we’re you can by precut kits. There planes really fly well. Have you ever flown any 3d airplanes? There super fun
Thanks Eli, I’m glad you liked it. If you look at the slo motion closely I noticed that the wing just gave way… I think it probably would have flown if the wings were more rigid

Thanks bro, That’s what I tried with the spray paint but it still wrinkled. Your right about the length of the shorts I just didn’t have anything to edit out. What do you think of the ship?
Enjoyed your video. I've made and flown 3 FT planes so far. The Simple Cub. the Tutor with regular wing + flaps and the Simple Stick. A weakness with all three has been the landing gear. For me the Stick has been the best flyer but it comes in even hotter than your Turbo Wing Tutor. I'm building a second Tutor over this winter and am thinking of going with a "C" pack motor over the "B" pack motor that I used with my first Tutor. I'll be staying with the trainer wing and adding flaps.
Thank you, I'm glad that you enjoyed it. You are right that one of the problems with the FT planes is the landing gear. I have yet to build the Simple Stick but I bet it's great. I will probably have to do it now. On my Tutor I hade the C pack. I think that you will have a blast with the Tutor on the Trainer wing with the C pack.
