In this video, we push the limits with the Flite Test Tutor. You can buy your own at Flite Test Store.com I was really inspired by watching the Flying Cowboys. So, be sure to check them out.
Awesome flying. That plane looks and flies great. I just love Flite Test planes. I have been following them for many years since it was just Josh and Josh in their basement. After watching your flight, I think I am going to build one. A few years ago, I built the FT Bushwacker, another fun STOL plane from them. This plane is about the same size, and you make it look like it is just as fun. Well done.
I like your drive, you fly a hell of a lot better than I can. I bought a simulator, your a few years, tried getting this P-51 flying no go. I found out after teaching my self to fly on the simulator, I HAD THE CONTROLS SET BACK WORDS, I gave it up and went back to racing trucks, and drones. congratulations.
Thanks. I had a similar experience. when I first started flying I had the alirons backwards. if you want to get back into flying try the horizon hobby Sportcub S2
Enjoyed your video. I've made and flown 3 FT planes so far. The Simple Cub. the Tutor with regular wing + flaps and the Simple Stick. A weakness with all three has been the landing gear. For me the Stick has been the best flyer but it comes in even hotter than your Turbo Wing Tutor. I'm building a second Tutor over this winter and am thinking of going with a "C" pack motor over the "B" pack motor that I used with my first Tutor. I'll be staying with the trainer wing and adding flaps.
Thank you, I'm glad that you enjoyed it. You are right that one of the problems with the FT planes is the landing gear. I have yet to build the Simple Stick but I bet it's great. I will probably have to do it now. On my Tutor I hade the C pack. I think that you will have a blast with the Tutor on the Trainer wing with the C pack.
Very good video. What battery are you using? Im coming from quads and looking to build the Tutor, and most of my batts are 4s 2200mah. And would you reccomend the Tutor as a first plane for a fixed wing newbie, looks like a good trainer to me. Keep up the good work, peace! ✌🏻
I’m glad you enjoyed the video… those batteries would definitely work but I wouldn’t recommend them for a beginner. They are going to produce a lot of thrust giving you a more 3d airplane. Honestly I don’t know how the Tutor behaves as a trainer because I didn’t put the trainer wing or motor on to it. It’s definitely worth giving it a shot. On plane that is a great trainer that I have flown is the Flite Test Tiny Trainer. Flite Test also has a Tiny Tutor that I’m sure would be a great trainer. If you have any questions feel free to ask
I’m with you bro the ft Tutor is amazing… it’s one of the best ft planes. Your right thhe wing is the turbo tutor wing… and I have the rates all the way at 100% but I do think I have 30% expo on them
This is the Flite Test Tutor. you can get the kit from the Flite Test store or you can buy the build plans from FTCA which stands for the Flite Test Community Association
