Hello everyone, I'm thomasjujube, and welcome to my channel! Here I like to talk all things tokusatsu, such as Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Ultraman, Power Rangers, and much more! Please subscribe if you enjoy videos and would like to see more~!
I found it interesting that Nijigon's Rainbow Breath isn't permanent and Chemies can still be used to make Malgams, because that would make Gotchard's dream super easy to achieve. Now if he does make it so Chemies are accepted by the public by large, he's still going to have to deal with those rare individuals would still seek to corrupt the Chemies' powers for themselves. Kind of like how Kamen Rider Double had to deal with Dopants years after taking down the Museum
The endings felt a bit forced, like does Japan just have vtubers on skyscrapers to give announcements? Zero One it made sense because they're a company givng a press release, Geats made sense bc like beroba hacks the channels n all, but this just feels like an asspull
Got to be honest boondorio is a professional gaslighter guy really broke the tv and blamed it on boon red and gave the guy an upgrade so he'll forgive him
I wanted more fighting in the woods with the camping theme. I hope they don’t depend on his power up every episode now. I thought at one time they forgot about boon violet until they finally showed him at the end nursing his injury. Next week’s episode looks great though with the baseball theme.
Because of the other childhood drawings taiya made showing a lion just don’t know how that exactly ties into a childhood dream of his and the fire truck is simply so it can match with the 119 power up
@@zegop5736The lion in the drawing looks like a reference to being a zookeeper. Bascally boonboon thought that taiya's dream was to be a firefighter, but it turns out at the end of that episode that he had a lot of childhood dreams and being a firefighter is just one of them.
@@justintan7658 then cause money a truck having a transformation feature puts more features on the box thus means more sales that’s 90% of everything bandai does is “for toy sales”
I hear you about how awkward the attachments are for displaying. I actually bought sheets of acrylic, cut them to the width of the toys, heated them up to bend them, and made my own acrylic stands to allow them to sit straight up as if they were on the front of the driver.
IMO the issue with Samurai has always been the weird vibe of having white people going extremely japanese stories. These stories have a context that is kinda lost.
The moment Minato looks at Spanner’s announcement perfectly captures my thoughts of how this is going to tie up. There are three episodes left of this show. I don’t believe they can end it smoothly with Spanner, the two remaining Kings and Geriyon’s army (maybe the last one is for the movie, but you get my point), it’s a bit too much.
I’m so happy you finally got the power up items, I love hearing your opinion on the toys and their functionality, also that it’s not a review but just you genuinely having fun playing with them, your unboxing videos are probably the ones I end up rewatching the most tbh, glad to have another one for Gotchard stuff
apart from the weird Geryon and Atropos scene, I feel like this is the most solid episode of gotchard cause it goes fully into the fallout of the alchemic rule of making everyone forgetting about chemies and even if they see chemies being used for good, some people just naturally become the worst version of themselves for power. also LOVE the cool use of a previous rider form to use the power of a future form but still using a "weaker" form cause he cant use rainbow gotchard
@@BadriKid I’m pretty sure that Geryon and Atropos scene is fully intended to be “weird.” I mean, he’s using her to mimic Fuga reading the fairytale to little Rinne. That, along with the fact that it’s heavily implied that Geryon used kid Rinne as Atropos’s human model so he could have a “daughter” of his own. I highly doubt their little dynamic will end well. When Gigist, perhaps accompanied by Supana and while possibly having “double the power” at that point via Gaeliyah’s stone fragment, inevitably goes hunting after Geryon for his stone fragment, I wouldn’t be surprised if Geryon ends up abandoning Atropos in a cowardly attempt to save himself, thus fully discarding his one “positive” trait and driving him toward his downfall and a well-deserved end.
Gotchard used Platinum not because he lost Venomdake, he used it just because. The ability he lost because of not having 101 chemies is Gotcharbrothers
That ending with Supana was unexpected, yet it makes sense that someone like him is resorting to drastic measures to end the chaos. Although, I think that there’s more to this twist than it seems; it may even be a bit of a facade on Supana’s part. Mainly because of that scene of Gigist silently spying on Gaeliyah in the background which then fades RIGHT BACK to Supana. Maybe that little detail, combined with Supana suspiciously using his Black Flames more freely and skillfully than he ever has, is implying that Supana took up Gigist’s offer as part of him resorting to “drastic measures”? Perhaps Supana becoming the association leader, as was “foretold,” is part of a plan to bypass Gaeliyah’s divination abilities and take her down for good. Because her ability to see the future, as seen with her brief fight against Rainbow Gotchard, seems to somehow be even more OP than Gigist’s ability to read people’s minds. And speaking of Gigist, it seems like he’s really taking the “Gremlin from Wizard” approach to things at the moment. Y’know, where he stays out of the “main action” for a short period of time and lurks in the background waiting for the perfect chance to get everything he wants. Maybe that thrashing by Houtarou as Rainbow Gotchard, combined with the unexpected reemergence of the other two Kings, humbled him a bit and caused him to place a greater value on “patience.” And what’s especially interesting is that his end goal is still a giant question mark at this point. The other villains have been open about their endgames: - Gaeliyah and Germain want/wanted to evolve humans into Malgams on a grand scale, though for different reasons. Germain wanted to do it to show how much he loooooved humans. And Gaeliyah wants to do it because it’s the “rightful future” she divined. - Geryon wants to take one of the primary goals of alchemy to its extreme and turn the world into gold, which almost every other character rightfully thinks is ridiculous. Though it’s charmingly in line with how petty he is. But there’s been little to nothing revealed about what Gigist wants so far….
Gotta say, I really like the way this episode portrayed the fallout of everyone regaining their memories and the “masquerade” being blown wide open. Of course it was a bunch of entertaining chaos! lol. There’s just something really impactful about Toku storylines where the normal townsfolk turn against the heroes. And hey, they even brought back that random jerk from those other two episodes to dox the main characters and even break into the Academy. All good stuff! It’s also interesting how they’ve been giving Geryon a little more depth since his revival regarding him actively trying to be a father to Atropos and treating her as his daughter. Though I highly doubt that he’ll wind up getting a “good ending.” Geryon has always reminded me of a more charismatic and better-developed version of Banno from Drive, and we all know that guy wound up receiving a fitting and satisfying death. In the end, he’ll probably demonstrate that when push comes to shove, there’s only one person he cares about: Himself. No matter how much care he shows for Atropos compared to the other Sisters.
Spanner also seems to be using the black flames, and we also saw Gigist at the end of the episode, possibly subtle foreshadowing of him being more involved in upcoming episodes. Also, I think that Valvarad GT is going to be made by Spanner and Hotaro finally reaching an understanding since, when you think about it, they’ve technically only worked together because they’re goals aligned till now, I don’t think there’s been an episode where they’ve become friends or reached an understanding yet, something that’s been built up since episode 2 or 3, so I’m excited to see them duke it out next episode and possibly understand the other.
Yeah, I noticed those details too. They make me believe there’s more to this new twist than meets the eye. Supana having more skill and control over his flames than he’s ever demonstrated while at the same time, Gigist is silently spying on Gaelijah gloating about the newest “foretold” event coming true. I don’t think there’s any coincidence here. I think Supana, after seeing Kyoka injured, chose to accept Gigist’s offer as part of his taking more drastic actions. This whole thing with Supana becoming the new association leader, as was “divined” by Gaelijah, may be part of a scheme to take her down for good, something that would benefit Supana and Gigist both. Perhaps through making a prophesied future event TECHNICALLY happen but “twisting” it a bit to their advantage.
@@MaxStarScreami understand the series ain’t everyone’s cup of tea but you literally just described what gotchard is, it has kaijin villains a kamen rider series again where a kaijin is the possible final boss and not a rider, the cast is pretty good especially the mc houtarou to me i feel like truly embodies what a kamen rider should be, gotchard forms are pretty balanced fire, iron, and platinum, and rainbow gotchard is probably the most balanced final form out the reiwa era since it can still be weakened as we have seen with this episode and houtarou can still lose with his final form and the ability itself is pretty balanced, it gives houtarou a pretty good buff but it isn’t something to the point where the villains can’t fight back in any way that seems pretty balanced to me.
I love how gotchard still somehow manage to keep using “lower tier” power ups forms even this late into the finale. Normally, they would just ditch the form and almost strictly uses the new form for the rest of the show. Platinum, Fire Gotchard, Super UFO still appearing in these episodes are such a delight. Fans service at it’s finest.
To be honest, the rules of Nijigon's powers are loosely defined. While his team has collect all 101 Chemies, Hotarou doesn't necessarily owns them or have them at hand. Since Spanner defected, does he lose Gotcha during next week's fight too?
@@jeremygallardo3136 I think it works like Fourze Cosmic States. In that the “bond of friendship” between Houtarou and the Chemies being together is an important part of it. So if one of the Chemies is taken away by the wrong hands and forcibly turned into a monster, that “bond” is temporarily severed.
@@jeremygallardo3136 I think Thomas is mistaken a little bit. 101 chemies give access to Gotcharbrothers, not Rainbow Gotchard. That's why AntWrestler detransmuted after venomdake malgam was created
