Why the Kamen Rider Legend Special is weird (Kamen Rider Gotchard) 

I also just love that legend doesn't just become the rider but his power amps the powers of the older forms

I find it funny how the Legend Driver parallels the Decade Driver as instead of of putting the card down and the card going to the side. The Legend Driver does the reverse process and inserts it from the side to pop it up vertically

It's really interesting that the Legend special is actually Junsei Motojima (Hotarou)'s first ever role for Kamen Rider. So, this is him at his newest in acting /AT ALL/ since he has absolutely zero experience before this. I absolutely love Hotarou and Kaguya's dynamic though. I'm going off of vague feelings, but I get the sense that Kaguya likes Hotarou in the sense that he's technically only friend. He's revered by the people around him (mostly Butler), but Hotarou's innocence sees way past his 'gorgeousness' and sees Kaguya as a person. Which was why he looked so sad when he suddenly disappeared and then resolves to find Hotarou again. It's also interesting that it was a RU-vid special that fix the small plot element that the Gotchardriver can't handle a lot of energy and forcibly removes Hotarou out of the transformation as seen with KuugaFaiz and BatKingRobo. Kaguya apparently fixed that issue.

What I find interesting is that the useage of stuff from Zi-O almosts creates a connection between the Villian Faction Hundred and the season of Zi-O. Since there were a lot of unanswered questions regarding where a lot of the stuff in Zi-O came from. As the Kasshines and the Dai Mazines always seem to be seperate from Ohma Zi-O. Since the destruction of Sougo's first Ziku Driver actually deactives the Kasshine that was sent to kill Geiz. And the Dai Mazines were implied to have been reprogrammed by Ohma Zi-O who took control of them.

also legend's name hougo quartz is a reference to zi o as well, with zi o's name being sougo, and the quartz is from the name of the theme song for zi o's "Over Quartzer".

I just wanna see him meet Decade and they'll fight, not sure how Tsukasa feels about seeing a whole different Rider using some of his looks and powers. Hopefully a crossover special happens somehow

The whole "all these riders begged me to make them gorgeous and take their powers" really makes me hope we get him sorta going mad now that century is defeated and going manifest destiny on the riderverse to make it all gorgeous. That may also be me hoping he does something truly interesting.

I’m intrigued on how legend will become a main character in Gotchard, but I think he will have a similar role to kamen rider demons or perhaps similar to the dad from revice since the kamen rider Vail was a prequel to the show and the dad became a rider again in like I think 2 episodes and a movie

While the specials were undeniably set-up fodder, i think they did just enough to be fun in their own right. At this point i'm mostly curious about Legend and the Legend Chemy's are going to work in show, especially if it means we might get to see more of Gotchard's legend forms

While it's not officially confirmed that Kamen Rider Legend will have a crossover with Twokaiser, Legend's actor have posted a photo with Twokaiser's actor with the hashtag Kamen Rider Legend and Twokaiser, and Twokaiser's actor retweeted and like Legend's actor's post, it is safe to say that both actors want the crossover to happen. As for Toei approving the crossover, they said during Saber and Zenkaiger's airing that they won't be doing Rider and Sentai crossover for awhile as in Taisen movies and decide save to it for special milestone. V-Cinema style crossover is highly unlikely; however, TTFC web crossover on the other hand is possible, and Legend, himself, acts like part of a five year milestone that started with Decade, following with Fifteen, and Zi-O which they make the exception and let it happen.

The driver looks like beast driver on decade driver and the ring can also be related to wizard if they decide to do a wizard tie in like kyoryuger in kingohger.

We definitely need more episodes; felt like the story kind of stopped just as it got started. I mean, I’m still not really into Gotchard as a character so Legend was more interesting to me, but we still don’t really get to see what his whole deal is. I’m sure he’ll show back up in the show at some point, but it feels like they introduced him way too early if we were only going to get a little taste then just have to wait for the rest of it.

The current Kamen Rider series is a multiverse. So the special's villain factions is simply a regular day in Legend's job.

My problem with Legend doesn't even have to do with the special itself. Now i absolutely ADORE the main idea behind Legend, it basically takes Decade's, or rather every Toku anniversary season ever of bringing back past riders as its main gimmick, and amping it up in ways i never thought are possible. I just wished this was an anniversary season. I get that Rider seasons tend to do this nowadays, but the fact that Legend is separate character with his OWN special and role just makes him feel like an Anomaly in Gotchard, especially since I don't think Gotchard is celebrating anything. Edit: Also, for the character arc thing, i think it's a two-way development arc. Houtaro did change how Kaguya feels about him, but it was actually Butler who changed the way Houtaro feels about Kaguya, as well as the whole "he fights by being gorgeous" thing which fits in with Gotchard learning how to be a proper Kamen Rider.

I never really liked the Gotchardriver- so when I heard there would be a belt that just uses one card I was sold before I even knew the motif. Theeeen I saw the Legendriver, didn't like how much it looked like the Beast Driver, but I got over it. My Legendriver is now waiting for me at home.

We already know multiple dimensions and timelines exist in Kamen Rider. I'm assuming Legend is linked to Decade and Zi-o as well as the "possible" future that was shown in Gotchard. So I'm assuming Legend got Gotchard's card from possible future Hotaro. We already know the Gotchard timeline has shifted.

HE'S JUST LIKE ME FR FR 😆😂🤣 I'll be frank with you man, when Kamen Rider Legend is revealed to be a new guy, I was so happy that I've just got a new addition for my Kamen Rider dream team, and he's basically a Decade fanboy. Not to mention, 2023 is the year where we have Legend, a Kamen Rider based on Decade with Ride Chemy Cards, and Zein, a Kamen Rider who uses his own Rider Cards with a similar design to Decade's cards. And they also debuted exactly 5 years after Zi-O ended. This certainly proves that the in-universe concept of Decade is eternal, that even when he's not around that much these days, there are others that took his rein. Who knows if there would be more of this in the future. 😆 That being said, this makes Legend as a non-mainstream legacy gimmick Rider besides Zein and Fifteen (I wish he would appear again, especially for Gaim's 10th Anniversary project as a good guy). I also noticed that Legend combines all aspects of the mainstream legacy Riders: - Decade: the base design and usage of cards, not to mention Rider form changes and summons - Zi-O: overall gold and regal aesthetics - Revice: addition of animal theme, being a lion Chemy in this case

the reason for the lack of plot depht is because legend supposed to debut in got hard in the first place. But after some planning they decided to debut him in a spin off first then put him in the series later on because of the motif
