Very nice nice van. I off grid camp all the time. The. For that price I would expect a good kitchen layout. 2 gas rings for 4 people is very limited. it would be a deal breaker for me. There are campervans. Half that money with better kitchen set up. Great video though.
Nice looking van and plenty of space for its size, ok yes, it could be a 4 birth but let’s be honest, it’s really a 2. Itd be one for us to look out for when the time comes to change our roller team once it’s just me and the wife.
Even for the two of us I would use the drop down bed in the higher position so that I could have somewhere to sit to gave a cup of tea and a bacon butty in the morning while my wife has a lie in.
@@MotorhomeCampervan Lack of space clothes and bedding with under seat storage perhaps, but the occasional seats don’t make sense to me probably ok for a weekend away, but if you are away for two or three weeks you would struggle
we have had two ford engines with this wet belt system , never a problem and I have not even heard of one failing here in NZ ...so maybe the odd failure is overblown and no different to dry cam belts breaking - and I have had one of those failures , luckily in a non interference engine.
Whilst this is an issue with some commercial vehicles, it doesn't yet seem to be affecting motorhomes. If you change the oil annually with good quality oil and change the belt way ahead of schedule (120k, I think), it appears you should be OK (some cars require new belt every three/four years irrespective of mileage)
The Vikenze shows how an EV camper can be done but it's very small inside. The base vehicles need more range (and lower cost) before EV campervans become mainstream
The strange thing is that these vehicles weren’t imported to us. Another question is how they operate, and how much they cost!! My problem is that it isn’t an electric vehicle!! I’m never returning to diesel or petrol!!
Hi Peter and a great van. However we have ordered a new Bailey B64 on the Ford Transit. However there is a lot of complaints across all sectors of users of Fords at the moment due to using a wet belt system and the failure of the belts in very new vans. Further Fords response to this crisis. I am thinking of cancelling my order due to this issue. Are you aware of it? Thanks David
@@stevezodiac491 thanks had we heard some of the interviews she did. I am really put off buying the van which is a shame. We had a Hymer on the Ford which was a 2011 and it was great. Appears they started to introduce the wet belts in 2016 .
Evening Peter. Yet another great review of a fantastic Motorhome. Just when you think you've settled on a campervan/ motorhome along comes another one which changes your mind!! I'm probably a few years off getting one but all these great reviews narrows the list to what you actually need in a camper of your choice. always exciting videos to watch, great work once again.
There are a number of models with this layout, not just the Adamo. It's the Voyager 540 that's a rival to the Adamo 69-4, as both are 7m. The whole point of the 510 is that it's considerably shorter.
The only saving would be the travel seats, you'd still want the drop-down bed. There are loads of models with similar bed/travel arrangements and they are big sellers. Make it a two-berth and you lose the "grandparent market" and reduce sales
This is an ideal layout for me and my better half. Not wasting space on a double bed when there's the drop down bed. I like the benimar range also that's a similar layout. Do swift still have the build quality issues though ! I recently spoke with a fella on withernsea sea front with his voyager and he wasn't impressed. Swift are nice looking vans I will give that
@@daletinsley2954 For me those rear travel seats are wasting space. And the inward facing sofas can become a double bed anyway. Without these features it's lighter and better value.
@@karlospappy8908 I'm comparing like for like here . A brand new branded conversion van with the same facilities as this will be far more expensive and 100k is certainly in the ball park for the bigger brands because they take the mickey out of gullible buyers . I full time in a very large vintage motohome and I cant count the number of miserable couples I meet who regret buying a brand new conversion van with their pension money only to realise they cant move inside and have to compromise on everything. They are designed for young people not people in their sixties !! who are the only ones who can actaully afford their insane price tag . met an older couple yesterday who'd spent 120K on a brand new VW California and hated it !! and the GRP rHi top roof leaked like an old whaler and they couldnt move inside
@karlospappy8908 water ingress is the big one for me. I would buy a metal van conversion every time if I wanted such a thing. Water ingress with a caravan is bad, much much worse on a motorhome of significantly more cost.
Hooray, at last a British built motorhome to rival the Pilote 626D Evidence. I think this will be a very popular motorhome as it's competitive on the price even in the automatic transmission option compared to the Pilote. Thanks for the review Peter.
That’s one of the best camper van fit outs I’ve seen perfect of a family or couple. Love the 2 lounges and clever bathroom great price for what you get!
Saw one of these on the road this week so decided to watch this ‘just out of interest’ 😂 … a bit of a step up from our camper-van but we can dream 🚐 excellent review thanks 🤩
How sad that the table is a deal breaker for me !! If I could have no table it would be a definite yes!! Is it possible thry can supply with NO TABLE? Such a shame
Great review Peter, looks well screwed together but I didn't like it. Issues for me were small oven and no grill also thought the fridge freezer would have been larger. AGM batteries instead of Lithium and the height of the toilet is unacceptable. Cheers K.
I agree with you on AGM batteries but the Alde system gives a more domestic feel than a (diesel) blown-air system and is expected at this level of the market
