Fantastic video and a brilliant small and unusual motorhome. Amazed what they have built into such small dimensions and the false floor is thing of beauty and that price point. Thanks Peter
I like it. There is so much space in the back that two people wouldn't go stir crazy after being stuck in there for hours on rainy days. I like the seperation of living/eating, cooking, washing and sleeping areas with 2 permanent, usable, beds. It means that the early riser can get up, get dressed, have a coffee or breakfast while the lazy one has a lie in. The two rear seatbelts would be used for harnessing the dogs. The downside is selling a £90k motorhome to the wife even though, when compared to many alternatives, it is good VFM and Inthink that I could live with the big table. As always, thanks for the honest review. Any ideas whether a tow bar could be fitted to take my dinghy away with me.
There's not a long overhang, so I'd expect a towbar would be possible but please check with M&C Ltd (the importer) - they're very helpful. I understand they've already modified the table for one customer, too.
What a great design. Best of both worlds. This is a serrious contender when i spend my money. Great reveiw as usual. Your the onlly one i trust for reviewing motorhomes. Thanks.
Peter, as an owner of a Liner for Two, this EuraMobil rear lounge concept is truly excellent. The spec is perfect too, with decent tank sizes, 150amp/hr lithium battery, big fridge and outside bbq point. Dealing of the can is key, something other high quality rear lounge manufacturers don't always achieve. What a beauty. Great 'proper motorhomer' review as always. Happy Christmas.
I like the concept and the price seems pretty competitive, although presumably if we had a euro-spec van it would be even cheaper. Why don't they offer that? It's like we're slowly heading back to the pre EU days when importers altered the spec so you couldn't directly compare the prices. But a few points. That open underfloor area could be a nightmare in use because unless you tie everything down it won't be where you left it when you reach your destination, and retrieving stuff that ends up in the middle will be a pain. Overcab designs really do blunt motorway performance. You'll be duelling with juggernauts rather than comfortably overtaking them. My current Burstner A class cruises at 75, my previous Hymer overcab was comfortable at closer to 60. Over longer distances that makes a difference. Given the height of the vehicle I'm surprised there's not more headroom over the bed. It looked barely better than my drop down A class bed. Nice concept though. Get yourself a truckers road atlas - it has bridge heights marked on it!
The importers add spec because Brits, generally, won't buy 'vans like the Germans with steel wheels, unpainted bumpers, no carpets, no oven... You could compare prices if you add the extras but remember that RHD chassis cost more, too.
How sad that the table is a deal breaker for me !! If I could have no table it would be a definite yes!! Is it possible thry can supply with NO TABLE? Such a shame
Quite a nice layout .. however what I didn't like is the small kitchen area, small bathroom and no drop down bed over the rest lounge. I like how Jayco Australia build and design their motorbikes such as the 24-4 which has a huge kitchen, separate shower and toilet and a drop down bed over the lounge.
There's only so much you can get into a 6.5m 'van. We don't have Jayco in the UK, so I haven't seen the model you refer to but if you like a drop-down bed and rear lounge, how about these - Rapido - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X3Ec1QaszTU.html Pilote - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jOtLEwiBnzI.html
Yes, but did it have a double floor (the problem with this layout usually is lack of storage) and single beds in the luton? Those features are what make it unique
What a great layout for two people who do not spend most of their time off-roading. Estetically I am not a fan of overcabs, but here the advantages outweigh my dislike of them. If they found a way to allow sleeping with the headboard towards the living area, then you could definately sit up and read in bed.
Did you know that the mk8 Fist's fuel read out is only in US mpg- a chip/ manufacturing error. If you select via the infotainment system UK or US you get US SO, your economy is 17% better ( so approx)- 30 mpg = 33 mpg, 35 = 38 mpg, 40 = 46 mpg .Honestly Fuat Pro I was told never be fixed along with the " Russian" text read out on the 4" dash screen when using it instead of the main info screen- with android/ phone / navigation on this larger screen
Are these available in North America? Or can one be shipped to Canada? My favourite design with the large rear lounge and a skyline. Amazing. Love it.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
what a great review! we just ordered ours and will receive it in about 5 - 6 months. We actually have a Hymer 550S - a very popular rear lounge Vintage motorhome in the UK - coming from this 30year old RV, we searched for something similar - in my opinion, the 650hs could be some kind of the perfect evolution of this one - and we are sure it will be the perfect fit for us with 2 big Newfoundland dogs, who will sleep below, while we can sleep "clean" in the over-cab. While waiting we are watching some 650hs video, and yours for sure was the most interesting so far - Thank you so much. Greetings from Italy.
As an American, I think the left hand drive is delightful! Leave it to the Germans to build such a beautiful, sleek and well built vehicle. It’s really very nice and I could be very happy with I….I’d make do🤗👍👍
That oven is a safety hazard. Imagine being under 5'5" and trying to take anything roasting out of that oven. You could be looking at a face and chest full of boiling fat.
I love it. But yes but it’s the bed. Can’t sit up. And I love my separate toilet and washroom so this again does another miss. I’m glad the company is back in business so will see some more improvements and longer models over the years. And I also got my Motorhome from the same seller in Hull.😊 KILLIG 669 RIMOR
Peter, last time I heard you being excited about a motorhome layout was the £240k Venture S - so this one looks like a bargain! Shame it's lacking a grill though. I felt a little bored and numb at the NEC seeing so many familiar layouts - but equally I might have just eaten too many free sweets 😅
Peter, Please can I have your advice? We’ve just bought a Bailey B62 Endeavour. We’d like to subscribe for your magazine but are not sure whether to get the Motorhome or Campervan version. We’re not so much interested in vehicle reviews having just made our purchase and more on trips, equipment etc. thanks, Phillip & Julie
I'd suggest you subscribe to MMM. There's so much in it, from campsites to accessories and lots of ideas for your travels. It has been Britain's best motorhome mag for over 50 years and you can have print or digital versions. Enjoy your B62!
I’m a bit divided on the layout. Plenty of overcab designs seem stuffy/ claustrophobic and I’ve seen worse but I’ve seen better. I don’t tend to value having lounge space all that much, maybe as I get further into my dotage somewhere to sit and watch Eastenders all day might…at that point maybe I’d get a caravan 😮😮😮
Lovely van... but anything over a typical car hight is at great risk of being damaged with the overgrown foliage on the poorly maintained roads in the UK!!😢
@MotorhomeCampervan Lucky we've had a 7m coach built motorhomes for over 20 years and had the best of the UK to say the least... Did enjoy driving a fairly large van and especially that living space during all the rain...I think the next stop is a villa in Tenerife 😏😔
I was told before the review that the website is incorrect. I think they're holding the prices I quoted for as long as they can while the Eura Mobil brand gets re-established here
The 180 engine and automatic should be possible with a factory order through the UK importer, M & C. I wasn't concerned about the driving position but it depends how tall you are - it's always best to try such details for yourself before buying.
A fantastic package but the 400kg payload doesnt include the 150 ltrs of water or a full tank of fuel! That leaves about 250kg to fill all of that floor space, the kitchen drawers, wardrobes, bedding, gas, BBQ, TV, Chairs and table +........... I would love to see you do a reveiw of a any van loaded for a trip away and then weigh it in. Thats what people buy these vans for. But another brilliant presentation, thank you.
It includes 90% full diesel and 25 litres of fresh water, which is more than some allow for payload calculations. You can also go up to 4,400kg gross weight on this 'van if you have a C1 licence - that would give you a HUGE payload. Any 3,500kg coachbuilt 'van is always going to be a bit limited on payload, except for a few entry-level models. Glad you enjoyed the review.
@@MotorhomeCampervan Thanks for the reply. Thats important information. I am trying to campaign to make people aware of payload and the possible consequences of being overloaded and then involved in an accident. The 4400kg upgrade makes this an amazing van.
They are arguably no better or worse than any of the other vans. The key thing is that they are used for a LOT of motorhomes - pre-Covid up to 80% of the European market. Also, the Camper Assist back-up is better than most others offer
I wonder if the bed area is suitable to sleep the other way around for people that prefer a double to 2 x singles. Do you know the dimensions from the fron to the end of the infill cushions up there?
I can't promise but let's see what we're offered for review in the New Year. In the meantime, this might help - www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/reviews/motorhomes/roller-team-t-line-700-low-profile
Love this, especially the bed over the cab and actual steps to get up not a stupid ladder. Even the shower room is pretty good and all in a smallish van. All good.
Shame there is no grill and the small oven so high up are the only negatives I see. Grill definitely important to us as we love our toast in the morning.
That’s a great layout, like that! Shame it’s not a little longer, would make it look better and give it a little larger washroom, living room etc. then it would be a winner! Great review as always Peter 👍
Looks well screwed together Peter, love the double floor & front bed with the steps and the way the cab disappears, shower room and kitchen look good but I would fear for rear passenger safety if the van was rear ended. What was the black hose for on the floor in the rear storage area? Cheers K.
It's better as a two-berth, certainly. The extra seatbelts might be useful for dogs, though! The hose you spotted is an extension for the grey waste outlet, something you get on some German 'vans and a nice feature. Merry Christmas and thanks for watching.
What an ugly van. Rear lounge? What a waste of space! When are motorhome designers going to try living in a motorhome for a couple of weeks so they can actually design good layouts!
Some motorhome designers (not all) really do spend time in their vehicles but they have to build what the market wants and rear lounges have always been popular here. This one solves the usual issues of the type with no bed making (sleep in the overcab) and vastly better storage. Not sure what the 'waste of space' refers to? You need somewhere to relax, especially with UK weather!
