Great review! I heard that Capital one check all three major credit bureaus for a hard inquiry. What is the impact difference (decrease in credit score) compared to other lenders such as Chase which check only 1 credit bureau?

When we hit our FIRE number in 5 years at 46/50, we plan on also quitting our jobs and pursing something of passion or even a part/seasonal gig. We don’t hate our jobs, we definitely don’t love it, but it is well paid & does help us achieve our goal which we do love. Once we leave the rat race, we want to make sure we never have to go back.

You aren’t giving 10% to God you are giving it to who ever runs the church the fact she’s willing to give this amount of money away instead of thinking of the family future is just mind blowing Keep the faith no need to drown because of it

I think you should continue your podcast regardless of having a budget review. Your podcast can be current topics, investing, money management, the lessons you've learned, etc.. IMO I think you should keep the podcast going. Or offer to do podcasts with other creators who have had a financial success story like you! You don't have to keep them to budget reviews and coaching. That can be once a month and the rest of the weeks can still showcase your business but include other personal finance related things. 🙂

Do you have a certificate to be a financial coach ? I think you should have that because they are people who went to school for that.

People go to school to be CFPs or CPAs, not financial coaches.

If all you did was right, and the old insurance company paid for something they shouldn't have, then they should probably sit on that money. It's not you who has to pay for their mistake, it's a matter between the old insurance, the pharmacy and the new insurance, so if they have to turn against someone, they should turn against the pharmacy. The new insurance company looks ass though...

Genuinely curious - the budgeted amounts often exceed the income (for example on the business and personal side this month). I know everything always ends up working out and you are very conservative with your income estimates. Wouldn't it make sense to increase the expected income so you don't end up with such a large budgeted deficit when you are already expecting more?

I also have memory issues and do not retain knowledge well, and I somehow always surprise myself😂. Test taking is something i'm also lacking in as well, but I am dedicated in passing the exam. I get nervous when hearing about the meetings 😭 I get major butterflies when public speaking in front of many people. Anyway, wish me luck yall!!! And good luck to you too throughout your career

Why not put the costs for your foster dog under Donation? For me that‘s a „mindset“ thing. Because she isn’t your dog so it basically is a Donation. Which would show that you are still donating. And you wouldn’t have to bump up your costs for your dogs and go „over budget“ there 😊

Hi leila hope you're well. Can i use your spreadsheet in a different currency? I'd love to use it to budget my money monthly but i don't use the dollar because of the country I'm in and how do i change the currency on the spreadsheet? Thanks.

@PersonalFinancewithLeila 2 дня назад
Hi Tasha, yes of course! I can make a video on this soon, but you'll need to highlight any cells where currency should be>Select Format (top menu)>Number>Custom Currency (toward the bottom). From there you can search your currency! Hope that helps!

I’ve had a Wells Fargo savings and it doesn’t pay anything, so I started a second account with Marcus and that’s been making more with a 4.25. Should I just close the WF and move that money to Marcus and have two accounts in Marcus?

i would suggest not closing wells fargo completely and keeping at least some money in there… marcus doesn’t have a physical location so you cannot withdraw from it unless you transfer to your main account which takes a few business days… so having some money that’s easily accessible would be a good idea (in my opinion)

Sorry you had to deal with that. As frustrating and angry as I’m sure you were the US is still an absolutely great place to be BUT I 10,000% that our healthcare system is wildly broken. Keep your head up and equally if not more important thank you for your transparency. This is the first video on YT I have seen from a finance person. No mistake on your part but still a real life scenario most others in this space might be afraid to share! Already subscribed but I appreciate you even more now for speaking openly about this. One foot in front of the other lady you are doing great and making a difference!

I love this for you. I love that you shared this with others to inspire them. All of us have capabilities, you just have to take the first step and kept stepping forward through the good, bad and ugly. You have to get to the other side. Anything is possible if you want it bad enough. I think I started watching your content in 2020. Amazing!! So dang proud of you Leila!!!!!
