Yappy Beeman performs live honey bee removals in Alabama and relocates them to apiaries away from residential areas so they can rebuild and thrive as a honey bee colony producing honey. Yappy is an Alabama Beekeepers association member that has preformed over 1500 live bee removals. Yappy, along with the help of his great friends, Jp The Beeman, 628DirtRooster, Jeff Horchoff, and many others has learned many ways to remove bees safely for the bees and homeowners alike.

Always remember, Honey bees are dangerous. DO NOT ATTEMPT ANYTHING YOU SEE HERE WITHOUT PROTECTION AND KNOWLEDGE OF WORKING WITH BEES.
Our farm had a MASSIVE hive in the attic.... And we let them stay. The neighbors said they had been up there for decades and seeing as how they kept not only our farm pollinated but also the surrounding area.... We didn't want to harm them. Our local bee guy went up and saw it. He said he had never seen so many queens in such a 'small' space. The entire attic was basically a giant hive (5 bedroom 1912 farmhouse). We loved them! Then one spring... No bees came out to the dandelions. 😢 Absolute deviation. The whole mega hive was a total loss. All the queens were dead, and massive heaping piles of dead bees. We will never know what killed them all, but I suspect someone in the new mega mansions on postage stamps down the road put out poison. Those damned city people moved out to a rural area and immediately began poisoning everything! They wanted our rural community to look like their former cities. Our farm and those surrounding us suffered so badly from the loss of all of the bees. Production rates plummeted. I truly fear for what the future will bring.
Great question. I know the unmated queens have stingers but I have never known to be stung by one in 10 plus years. As far as the workers, they do as well and know how to use them.
Wtg Zack! Love watching youngers learn from the pros. You can tell you are his hero daddy! So awesome and he is gonna remember this moment with his dad as one of the coolest days of his life. 🥰🥰
Nope. Non-Africanized honeybees are very docile and will only ever sting if they feel like their lives are at risk, plus he's already doped them up with some smoke. I think he was stung at 7:43 but otherwise he's gentle enough to avoid frightening them.
holy crap and none of them sting you when you do that? you just pick up the queen and put her in your fingers and she didnt sting? the first time I picked a honeybee up i got stung in 2 seconds!
@@YappyBeemanlol omg you’re funny and so sweet to these bees I’ve been protecting you from trolls this person is joking kind of but the one accusing you of killing thrm with the special bee designed vacuum. I seen a short of theirs putting blood drops from their finger on a paper they had written on Alex is their name
it can happen.. but look at the alternative, the homeowner couldve gone out and sprayed and killed the whole colony... im sure a few get lost in the course of the vacuum, and transport, and boxing into the new hive.. but look at all the saves!
Those are still growing, they get much bigger. They are a light tannish/orange with reddish wings once adults. Adults can get to about 4". They are horrible garden pests as you can imagine. I purposely ran one over with my van a few days ago in my driveway. I hate them.
6:51 at the bottom right of the comb are those drone cells? I’m not a beekeeper. I’m just trying to learn at this point. Also later in the video as you first start bee vaccing down the left side of the shaded side?
