I don’t know how the heck you do this job but wow I’m thankful for people like you. Even one yellowjacket freaks me out. I can’t even image going at a huge nest like this
Yappy!!! We have missed you! Sorry that you got stung so many times but enjoyed the video and can’t wait till the next one comes out :). Thanks for sharing and letting me tag along :)
WORDS TO LIVE BY = It will be fun! Anything, ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING posted by Yappy should never be tried at home. Grab a camera and get somebody else to do it. Trust me.🤣
OMG! in Denmark, we now have the German Yellow Jacket, and it's big. The sting is 10 x 1 normal Yellow Jacket. They are very laid-back in the sommer, but come fall, it's a hole different ballgame. I have been chased down the driveway by a small group, and they are so big, it's like tiny helicopters with stinger missiles. You can literally hear them fly. Pure Hitchcock
U want docile check out the mud daubers them bees are mans best friend cause they eat spiders, anphids and Skeeter's ( mosquitoes) for you non rednecks..
This summer I got a bunch of stings from yellow jackets and red hornets--first time I got stung in years. Oh, did that hurt! You definitely have my sympathy on your stings! Hope that you recover quickly.
I had a similar situation where my pants were covered and I got stung at least 50 times. From now on I have one jacket and a full suit everywhere I go. I have never been stung through my emt trousers before. I was itching for a bit myself. Be safe bubba!
I was in the Walmart parking lot today walking down the sidewalk about to smell a rose and the lady said don't go any closer there's a big wasp nest right in front of you and I kind of walked a little faster. Yikes! I told them in the stores hopefully they'll do something about it. I really enjoy your show thank you for showing us what you do. Love your sense of humor too.
How bout that plantain? amazing stuff. I grab a few leaves, chew em up and put it on the stings. I got into the hornets last year. Chainsawing...put my boot into the nest. They got my face, underneath the screen shield. one of em was holding onto my lip as it stung me. pure chaos. I swelled up, looked like a shaved camel.
Yahoo a video From yappy omg yellow jackets scary yay your cover up omg feel sorry for you Yappy hope you do not hurt after this lol your one brave soul i would of run said forget lol thanks so very much
WHOA! You are dedicated to help your customers! What's worse than yellow jackets? Red Hornets - they just attack w/o provocation. Got my elderly mom one day when she walked out the front door of her house. I sure hope the flare from the bites goes away quickly! Part 2 must be super bad. Despite all you went through - it was indeed a good video - b/c I'm here safe and sound but know whatcha mean! Not as much knowin' but you know what I mean?
I watch in horror and fascination! I’m severely allergic to all bees, wasps and even mosquitoes give me huge whelps so I go into extreme survival mode watching this. I know better than to start flapping my arms around and screaming and running when any of these flying demons come around. but I could not stand there, even in a suit, and remain calm. Yappy, you’re either insane or or the bravest man around!! ❤
Why is the comments turned off on this video? Massive Bee Hive Removal From Abandoned House Wall with Surprise Ending, February 25, 2016. Your videos never get old. Thanks!
Wet some tobacco, even from a cigarette, and put it on your stings. Within a minute or two the pain will go away and you'll barely be able to see where you were stung. I got 27 stings one time and 42 another. It worked for me. I was sick for a day after the 42 stings, but it still took the pain and swelling away.
Crazy nest! "These were definitely not bees"😂Them Yellow Jackets usually real aggressive too, Yappy gets stung multiple times and just doesn't seem to be really bothered 😂
First as a former state certified Pest Management Professional let me say great job on dealing with this in an environmentally friendly manner. Second please invest in a whole body bee suit. There is no reason to take that many stings. In over a decade in the industry I was never stung on hundreds of Yellow Jacket/Bald Face Hornet/Paper Wasp nest removals.
Gotta be a better way than vacuuming them while getting stung. What about spraying dishwashing soap, doesn't that kill them? At least covering all but the area you're vacuuming with some plastic so they can't get out somewhere else to sting you? Tie a rope to the thing and drag it out into the yard? I don't know but this didn't seem to go well for you. I grew up around yellow jackets and once got stung about 10 times as a kid. They are mean and defensive as can be.
I have "dot band-aids" The are about 1/2 inch round band-aids with adhesive around the edge. I usually put one of these over bug bytes to prevent scratching. They still itch, but the prevent the scratch.
Looks like you had your hands full, yellow jackets are nasty. My neighbor had a nest in the ground and some dude came over with a couple bars of some material and BAM they were gone… took longer for him to suite up. … I need to figure out what it was. Oh…. Got to love that Dirtrooster hat 😉
Oh that was COOL looking! Its too bad you have to destroy the paper. It would make such a stunning art piece. Could be a great side hustle if you could find a way to get them to just leave the paper nest and THEN suck em up... LoL 🤣
Good bee people are the salt of the earth, You ARE good people, Yappy be careful some people who are mildly allergic to hornet stings can just one day lose all resistance to the venom and develop full blown anaphylaxis and die if unprepared, always, ALWAYS carry an EpiPen and Primatene inhaler and keep your phone handy, I lost a girl friend that way, I nearly died from eating shrimp probably 9th time eating them and boom was in emergency room 6 hours same kind of reaction. If you are mildly allergic it can become horrifyingly so unexpectedly, no matter the allergy.
Yappy take a big onion cut it in half rub it together get the juices out of it and put it on the bee stings in and it'll stop to hurting itch immediately
I've never watched one of your videos before, not for any reason, just never come across one. But I've see 628D.R. mention you. I loved the call-out to Hornet King in this video. How did those gloves work? We're any of those stings in the hands? Those didn't look like they would block the stingers.
Gloves from harbour frieght. The stings came on my back where the suit rode up. They sting but didn't last long. I might have to take a few more just to become more immune to them. Thanks for jumping in. Rooster and Hornet king are great friends and I enjoy working with them.
Several years ago my daughter stepped into a yellow jacket nest in the ground. They got up inside her clothes they got in her face she probably was stung 30 or 40 times. We took her to the hospital and fortunately she didn't have an anaphylactic reaction. But I really hate and respect yellow jackets.
@@moritamikamikara3879 yea Google says there's like 20,000 different species of bees and closer to 30,000 species of wasps, probably all with official scientific names. so they can all be 'bee'.
Have missed the Yappy🐝man This is one fun video Mr Yappy I know it’s serious, but entertaining….. I’m so happy I’m this side of the camera, as i’m sure 100’s feel the same…😱🤛🏼 Here in UK, the small #wasps are painful(took one in my side yrs ago😢) how u sttod that close to sp many? 🤭🤛🏼
Last time I had an enclosed yellow jacket nest like that, I took a CO2 tank (from a soda machine) and slipped the hose in and let it flow at a low volume. It doesn't kill them, just kind of puts them to sleep and/or makes them real dumb. It made them easy to handle and bag, but they do wake up after a while!
might sound crazy, but I've always heard rubbing mustard on a sting from a yellow jacket helps draw out the poison, I got into a nest weed eating for a friend , got stung fifteen times rubbed mustard on each sting, I was sore but I didn't itch. stay safe dealing with those vicious insects
Yappy we love ya not making it weird or nothing 🤣 since watching the channel I have found that I know more on how to care for bees than I would otherwise not take note of. As I have said in the past yellow jacket here are just horrible I hate them so bad like you. I had to deal with a yellow jacket nest that no one would do it sucked I dunno how but I never got stung once. Enjoy your tender rump 🤣 plus Yappy looked a little low at the start of the video keep making the videos I love your humour ✌️ take care see you soon on the next video
@@YappyBeeman ahhh, I gotcha. Im a pest tech so i love the video. The best part was the reveal. That sucker was HUGE. Were you able to get the other nest taken care of?
i did a nasty nest for my friend in a box in his metal shed... i waited till dark lol it was perfect bc there was easy 2000 i think german yellowjackets. and they all went to my light. still im more itchy but well alot! so i was def crapping my pants o to say at times lol
I have so much to say about this video..🤣 First of all.. the long arm protection.. then pan to the cows.. I get your drift🤣. Then I got one in the butt.. I got one in the butt🤫🤫 but the end I’m glad you said you use plantain. I’m sure you know if you get about 2 inches passed the redness it helps and don’t wait for it to itch. Reapply as often as you can. 2-4 hours. Ice cube them suckers next time to stop their venom from being able to spread as far. This was interesting but I’m going to leave this job to the men. I want mellow yellows only
Glad to see you saw the humor. As well as to know about the plantain. Great stuff. Put some on when I got home and never had an issue. The stings actually weren't as bad as I have had in the past so no complaints. Thanks for checking my crazy fun out.
Yappy, I'm a beekeeper too. You ALWAYS produce very compelling video. And , much as I try to like JP and Shawee, they always treat you like a jerk. (I assume they are better company "in person" than 'on video?' ) Those 'animal handler gloves' you carry are good to have. I'm not a smoker but it's almost GOOD you are! (1-2 without additives) smokes a day are GOOD for everyone. I have a buddy who grows tobacco (not weed) in his garden. ..) Wasps and yellow jackets are somewhat repelled by smokers' blood... I'm also VERY allergic to yellow jackets. Take an Allegra every day (like a booster shot) and carry a Bronkaid in your pocket for that day your body 'decides' to stop breathing... (Even works as antivenom for bites if you 'scare up' a rattler. ) =Keep up the good work. I'm a BIG FAN!!!
Thank you for a great comment. Jp and Schawee are good people. We have a weird fun on camera but I assure you, in person there's none better. Hope you are well and your bees. Thank you for the video compliments and I look forward to bringing you more.
Ohhhhhh There You Are Yappy My Family & I Were Missing You & Your Great Informativew Vids :) I Am So Highly Allergic To These Critters Last Time I Was Srung 48 Times By A Queen Wasp/ Yellow Jacket On my Bad Leg/ Right Hip Ended Up Witrh A Whole "Bag Of Yellow Venom From The Queen WAsp/ Yellow Jacket Stinging Me The 48 Times & Ended Up On A Ventilator Within My Local District General Hospital Took WEEKS For Me To Recover & Nopw I Have To Carry At Least 3 Epi Pens With Me At All Times From The Summer Until October Just Incase It Ever Happens Again.....Ughhhh :(
WHAT fun?? Didn't look like fun to me! I've been there and got zapped by that and there was NO fun involved so I will NOT grin as you're not grinning. They are on their last hurrah here before frost hits and are ILL as they always are right before their demise. Leaves are turning and falling so as the world and stomach turns, remain as calm as you can and the jacket nests here are just single chambers and not nearly as large. Some comfort, huh. So bee a Happy Yappy and remain calm and you can see views of goffer courses, developments nd hills from our windows, much less porches. God Bless!
Ngl, I did come to the comments to see if Hornet King came and left some laughing emojis 😅😅😅😅 I can picture him laughing cause you’re so funny when panicky 😂😂 it don’t happen with the bees 😊
Yellow jackets, you put a large piece of visqueen over the hole thing and throw a couple foggers in, go in the next day and take nest apart so you can get the brood out so they don’t hatch out and start up again.
This was funny mate, and you're a brave guy. I mowed over a nest that was in the ground on my ride on mower, I did not get touched but my European Doberman got covered in them- she was nailed but took it with style, I was pulling them off her she even had 3 in her but hole. She had no reaction but I put her on antihistamines anyway. I then figured out there were 5 of the nests- after I eradicated the first 2, I continued mowing over the next few days and found another 3. So 5 in total. Huge nests with massive stacks of them in each. My method to remove them- definitely not a vacuum cleaner- that was hilarious. I used a dog flea treatment you can buy from the supermarket or pet shop- the one that is in liquid form- it contains fipronil, so you put about 6 to 10 drops on some bait- a strip of bacon worked well but I also used a small tin of cat food. I put that just outside their nest at night with a torch when they can't attack you. They were genuinely wiped out/ whole nest was dead in 2 days. So I got 2 of the nests that way, and the other 3 I used a length of plastic pipe, poked down their hole and sealed around the opening- sprayed a bunch of fly spray down there and let them think about that for a while. Dug them up and kept spraying. Was still a bit frightening that way but no stings. Then I found a 6th nest in a hollow log near by up in a tree- massive nest. For that I made a bait box- some container - I used a plastic one with a lid to stop rain- drilled inch diameter holes in the sides, to let the wasps in at the bait- (fipronil - / liquid flea treatment for dogs). That nest went for the bait and were wiped out in 2 days. By the 3rd day there were mice or rats that discovered a feed and they stripped the nest out of the log completely. Then I found dead mice under the log. So that was all very interesting. It's almost summer here now in Australia, I'll see what this season brings. Regards Jake
@@YappyBeeman Yeah you're not wrong. In that same location I was throwing a stick into the long grass for the dogs- prior to mowing. Then while mowing an Eastern Brown snake came out at us. Those are the second most venomous in the world. And we get tiger snakes here a lot- # 4 venom. I don't worry about the platypus here, but a guy was bitten in half by a great white swimming in Sydney a few months ago. Horrible footage on youtube- the fishermen around didn't even pull their rods in- just stood there while the guy cried for help. I know I would have pulled the rod in to show some respect? He almost grabbed a beer instead. The worst predators here are the salt water crocks. Nothing comes close to their power. So I live on the other side of the country. Oh, our government are scary too. Regards Jake
