I’m excited for the kit! 🎉 I’m sorry you had so much trouble with Kreinik. I hope they can get it together. There is no metallic thread to be found anywhere.
Thank you Alana! :) I'm excited to get them all made and sent to everyone..! I must say, I wish I had been more aware of Kreinik thread situation this year.. I'm sure by next year, this would not be a problem, as I think they are madly trying to not only keep up with current demand, but create new processing and spooling manufacturing. I had no idea there is no metallic anywhere.. hmm...
@@VictoriaSamplerChannel I hope this doesn’t discourage you from restarting selling new paper patterns and kits (or accessory packs or however you will do it moving forward). I’m so glad you are doing it. It is very hard to source all the specialty items when you live in the middle of nowhere:). I used to live in Ladysmith btw. I miss the Island but am enjoying seeing the sun more regularly 😂 Also, Dovo stopped producing scissors and shears in 2022. They are pretty impossible to get now 😢
@@alanaxstitcher8403 We're just seeing if we CAN actually do this with our very few people.. We three are only working part time, are widely spread apart, and kitmaking, shipping, keeping inventory etc is all a bit more challenging to do this way. We'll see. :)
Ohh.. so nice to hear from you Luda! :) I found this and thought it would be so nice for us to re-visit that time. I follow the news and always send prayers for you and your husband and Ukraine. {{{hug}}}
A charming interview! I learned a few new things about you Thea. And thank you for the tip about stitching the outside edge of the tree on the Heirloom Christmas Sampler!
Oh, I must watch this later tonight. I love Luda's channel (big Mirabilia /Nora Corbet fan) but I've never seen her! I want to learn more about drawn thread and hardanger but still drool over Mirabilia's.
Yes, the 'ladies' and 'fairies' are all so beautiful..! It was soo nice to have been able to connect in person and still remember this special little visit interview so fondly!
@@dr.debrayerike6359 Thanks again for your suggestions. Creating books out of my patterns has been something I've contemplated for years. Of course it's possible, but it would mean I'd have to be sure to do the marketing data first, to see if it is actually profitable. :)
I have the bling tree pattern but missed the embellishment pack so I would love to be able to have access to a "new one" that you are considering putting together. I would definitely purchase it. I have put off stitching the tree as I was overwhelmed in trying to purchase all the items so just put that beautiful pattern in my stash for some day maybe. Thank you so much for considering doing that for us.
We don't offer the Accessory Packs anymore. I have semi-retired, and sold my home based studio, so have no inventory. Due to popular demand however we may create full kits for people for our most popular designs. Just for my information, what design(s) are you looking at buying the discontinued pack(s) for?
@@VictoriaSamplerChannel I love all your patterns and am very grateful for their creation! If you have the opportunity to release a limited edition of packs for such patterns, I will be very happy (I know many people also really want this): Heirloom Christmas Sampler and Babe's Honey Farm Sampler Leaflet - Small Farm Series 4 .🙏♥
@@ВолнаВолна-б3н Thank you so much for your kind reply to this comment. We are thinking of doing full kits for these patterns. Looks like you prefer to have 'packs' without the linen.. is that right? Let me know, as we're researching what people want. 🙂
@@ВолнаВолна-б3н We are doing our best right now to see what is possible. It's just 3 people doing part time work, and we all live in different places, so it may be a while before we get this going.. but we are doing some trials right now. :)
Absolutely- looking forward to your new bling tree creation. Candy canes would be nice:). Ginger bread house under the tree? You are so creative I’m sure it I’ll be festive.
Few years you’ll have some cards which were the pattern from a colección of angels they were Hardanger and the head was porcelain l had them but the gremlins took them and can’t find them is there anyway to buy them again?
Hello Maria. You have mistaken our company for another company. I believe it was Emie Bishop who designed Angels that had a wooden head and Hardanger wings and dress. I did not design any 3 dimensional angels with Hardanger. Sorry! :)
Can someone explain to me how I can join your live video and are they same time every Friday , and what time zone ? I love everything about your videos ❣️❣️
Sure..! I stream from my Facebook Chat Group for Victoria Sampler. So, just join up.. and so go to that chat group so you can see a popup that will be ready to join me at 9:30am Pacific time. (right now it's daylight savings here). Here's the group. Don't forget to answer all the questions: facebook.com/groups/144448399084489/
One of them is the Village Drum Pincushion.. here: victoriasampler.com/products/village-drum-pincushion-embroidery-and-cross-stitch-pattern?_pos=1&_sid=32cdd5c3a&_ss=r The other isn't out yet. It's called Spooky Treats and we're getting it ready to come out before the fall this year! :)
Tgese are great tutorials. Im afraid to screwing. I'm not even close to cutting and I am a nee comer to linen cross stitch. I definitely feel like Thea is the Elton John of Hardanger. I need to motivate myself into doing it.
Hi Cindy.. You think you might screw up? Is that what you mean? If you're afraid to cut on your piece, then I suggest you use a doodle cloth and practice cutting where it doesn't matter. Do a LOT of cuts, and use all my hints and tricks in cutting. On our website there is a catalogue item called course registration: victoriasampler.com/collections/classes I recommend that you take the Intro to Hardanger Class.. that will really give you a good grounding in cutting and all the rest as well! :) You can do it! :)
I pull threads from all sizes of fabric. I figured out while working on batiste that an old (or new) sewing machine needle was perfect. On loosee weave, pulling isn't a problem but in finer, more tightly woven fabrics, it can be a pain. Give it a try, you'll be surprised and the needle will develop a special place on your pin cushion.
@@VictoriaSamplerChannel It's great if you have a touch of "rheumatiz" in your fingers, 🤔like old people get, or so I heard, maybe read about it somewhere.🤣😉 The fatter end is easier to hold on to. I do love that sharp point for handkerchief linen, batiste or my bad habit of coming across a piece of even weave ANYTHING and thinking "Hmmm, I wonder if........"
Hola Hola soy de México, no entiendo el idioma pero todo lo que enseñan es hermoso, felicidades Lastima que estoy muy lejos de ustedes para poder adquirir y aprender todo lo que hacen, feliz año 2024 Bendiciones 😘
So glad to see your You Tube demonstration and also see that you are well and relaxed down in Mexico. Looks lovely. I am getting close to finishing my course on learning Hardanger and should be ready to start cutting soon. Colleen
Wonderful! Glad to hear you're almost ready to start cutting! I hope that your VS Academy course is allowing you to see clearly how to do the cutting! ;)
The stitch videos are so helpful! I can understand the needle movements and I find watching where you place the thread (under, over, this side, that side, etc.) important as well. Thank you!
Hi Thea! Thank you for highlighting the information your website has available. I have the Sunflower Street Sampler pattern in my stash. Ribbon question -- if I can't locate the 3.5mm ribbon, but have the choice between a 3mm or 4mm, which one would you suggest? I am happy to have joined FB and the VSChat group, so I"ve been able to follow along the past few weeks. Thank you!
Hi Susan! :) So glad you have that one in your stash already! If you can't find 3.5 ribbon.. then for THIS pattern, I'd suggest the 3mm ribbon. You can always double up petals.. but if the ribbon is too wide, you'll find it difficult to do the small stitches for the sunflowers around the cottage at bottom. Enjoy stitching it! ;)
