@@pandemiofpv Pues en cámpings es más cómodo. Tenía intención de hacer camping libre, pero no encontré muchos sitios que me fuesen bien. No uso komoot. La mayor parte fui siguiendo mapas de la eurovelo y si me quería desviar, uso cycle.travel

Hola. Me ha parecido muy interesante tu vídeo que has realizado. Quiero hacer esta ruta y me interesa saber como transportar la bicicleta en avión. Yo voy de Barcelona a Basilea. Se tiene que poner en una caja y facturarla en el aeropuerto. ¿Se tiene que recoger en la misma cinta que el resto de equipaje o en una cinta con equipaje especial? He leído que el aeropuerto de Viene es una aeropuerto amigable para las bicis y que en los Baggage Service Center (centros de servicio de equipaje), ubicados en las áreas de facturación de la Terminal 1 y la Terminal 3, venden cajas (Faharradkarton) para embalar las bicis. ¿Sabes alguna cosa de esto? Hay siempre una cinta especial para recoger la bicicleta. Lo suelen indicar, pero si tienes dudas consulta con la gente del aeropuerto. Yo no he usado las cajas de los aeropuertos nunca, porque siempre he ido a una tienda de bicicletas para reservar una caja. Así lo hice al llegar a Budapest. Unos días antes de llegar, envío varios correos a las tiendas de bicicletas que encuentre cerca de donde me alojo, para ver si me pueden reservar una caja. Y nunca me han fallado
Probably because you don’t do much flat road riding or climbs with a steady grade. For mtb, or, I’d be fine with a 9 speed if it had enough range. But for road riding, Its the equivalent of driving a car with a 3 speed automatic vs a 6 speed. The 3 speed will keep switching between 2nd and 3rd gear up long hills. The 6 speed will be happy to stay in 4th or 5th gear and get much better fuel economy. Large steps on flat or steady grades is just tiring on long rides.
Idiot. I also ride SA hubs, 33% steps. LOL. Who the hell goes exactly the same speed for hours?? Roads are not snooker tables. I have 20,500 miles with my Rohloff on a HEAVYWEIGHT. What happens with either is my natural cadence will adjust the SPEED, not the other way around. It gets easier and quieter every ride. I did 2 tours with mountains and flat. Actually, it was my 3x8 deFAILeurs that were most troublesome on uphills, they are all GONE forever. Then there's the fact that the medium speeds you most want have the WORST crosschain. F that. They also SUCK on a tour bike with hopeless lopsided spokes.

En mi caso, no entiendo como la gente elige manillares de carretera para viajes largos. Prefiero los planos, porque me dan mayor control y maniobrabilidad.

Puse vbrake trasero porque la rueda que tenía no estaba preparada para disco. El freno de disco es mecánico y el cuadro lo compré por internet, aunque ahora vale 300$ más que entonces a través de sjscycles

No puede crear rutas por ahora. Las tienes que subir tú mismo a través de un fichero .gpx Yo uso mucho la web cycle.travel para crear la ruta y luego subirla a mi web. Me está viniendo bien durante estos 3 últimos meses que he estado viajando

@@NievesRodriguez-cy8re Pues a decir verdad, en cuanto a pedaleo no hay mucha diferencia. En un uso normal de cicloturista ni te enteras. Tiene los inconvenientes que todo el mundo indica y que son: - Es menos eficiente que un cambio normal. Sobre todo en las marchas 6 y 7, donde se nota que hay más fricción interna y hace algo más de ruído. - Comparado con los cambios normales, con el Rohloff es más difícil cambiar de marcha mientras pedaleas con fuerza. Cosa que por otro lado, no se recomienda con los normales tampoco para evitar roturas o desgaste. Es lo único a lo que te tienes que acostumbrar sí o sí y que requiere cierta experiencia para acostumbrarse. -El cambio de aceite cada 5000km. Es un aceite especial, cosa que entiendo que te obliga a llevar cierta cantidad de reserva si haces un viaje muy largo
Very relaxing video. I agree with you about the bike building process being a form of creativity and fun. I personally love doing this things also. The bike looks great, I also like the cyclingabout content and saw the article Alee wrote about the Nomad MK3. I used to have a Thorn, I think early 2000s, a Club Tour in light blue color. It was great as a light tourer, the paint very durable (based on my research it was powder coated with some clear coat on top). Now apparently they use a paint called imron.. I wonder if it's also good and scratch resistant. What's your experience about the paint in your bike? By the way I love it! I remember a review about this bike joking about the color because it reminds the postman color here in England 😁 I personally would build it with 27.5" wheels to carry more momentum while riding. I think you would save some energy in the long run. And 27.5" are available apparently even in remote places nowadays (not that I know it for sure or experience, just what people say in the internet). Are you planning to change your 26s to 27.5s? I had a Santos Travel Master 26er and love the combination of stability given by frame stiffness, long chainstays and small wheels, but at the same time I think that wide 27.5" wheels are just perfect as closer to 26er than 29er in diameter and feeling. Best of both worlds for me. Also I would have loved to see a proper kickstand attachment on the chainstays and not through an adapter.. I read bad things about that adapter snapping while using it with loaded panniers. Did it hold up to you?
About the paint, I have had a scratch due to a rock hitting the frame, but the black coating they use as primer is very nice, because it didn't revealed the raw steel. By the way, I love the red color. I don't care anymore about wheel sizes. It's a nonsense in my opinion because we travel slowly and with a lot of weight, so it doesn't matter if you arrive 20' later. 26" is way stronger and it gives me confidence. I am a bit old fashioned about wheel sizes. And with the kickstand, no problem whatsoever. One thing I dislike is about the position of the bolts where the kickstand ataches, because I must use it in the largest position available to have the bike in the most straight position. I consider the problems with the kickstand that people have, are caused by having the bike pretty much reclined. Both the kickstand and the chainstays suffer a lot if the bike is not standing in a straight position
@@biketouringaddict good to know about the paint, and understand you point about the wheel size, even so I truly think that a wheel well built with strong rims and the right count of spokes can be strong even 29er and not only for speed intended as going same pace as you do at the moment while saving energy with the big wheels but also more comfort off road with wheels that are still strong but flex more and can go over obstacles with better angle of attack.Saying that I cannot stop myself checking sjs website for a frame to build with 26inch wheels because I do not need more than that for the trails around here 😎 just love the look of a steel frame and the feel also. Pues el rohloff muy bien. Las únicas quejas es que la marcha 6 y 7 hacen un poco más de ruído y rozamiento, y que un día que llovió junto con el barro, la cadena se notaba que no iba fina. Pero un manguerazo y un poco de aceite lo solucionó. Muy contento con él. Las ruedas eran unas Maxxis HighRoller II 26x2.40" EXO. Un poco bestias para tanta carretera como hice, pero en la F35 fueron de fábula
