i have an NP300E5C A01PL can i upgrade it from pentium B960 please tell me i realy want to upgrade my cpu and also is that second chip is a NVIDIA grapchic chip? i don't have this second chip
help me. mine turns on and then turns off. I changed the motherboard, I changed the processor. I called without any peripherals and it didn't solve the problem.
I advise a dual Core I7 2640m as I was able to make it work in my laptop. I Did not have to modify bios, just reset it with battery removal. It PROPABLY should also work in your laptop- provided you have socketed version
Hi dear Sir , I just wanted a quick guideline regarding upgrading a laptop's processor. See, my friend has a Samsung NP300e5c ( i3 2370M ) and he has agreed to give it to me. I am planning to upgrade it's processor after getting it. Now there are 2 other laptop models of the same series one has i5-2450M and other has i7-2670QM.All have the same mother boards and the same sockets the G2 socket but the problem is that the i7 processor has 45W TDP and other 2 has 35W and secondly I don't now what to do with the Bios after processor upgrade.
What cpu did you replace the original cpu with? where did you get the cpu from and how much? Is it worth doing the work? Can you install windows 11 afterwards?

Some advice for people who want to upgrade cpu in their Presario cq57: 1. It can only be done on Intel models 2. As far as I know there are 2 generations of Intel cpu's that are supported. Check the chipset with cpu-z on your motherboard HM65 is 2nd gen, HM55 is 1st. (Also check if the cpu socket has rPGA in it's name - if it doesn't than you can't upgrade) 3. The supported CPU models are detailed in HP manual (you can find it on the internet). 4. For the technically unsupported CPUs that I was able to get working without BIOS mods are (for the 1st gen): I3-380m I7-620m Those are things I had trouble to research for myself so I hope it will help.

My laptop is like this on the outside but that is no the same cpu mine has to silver things on one cpu so the laptop don't start wat seems to be a problem
If I swapped this 2 ram my laptop not on. but when I placed them previous position then its run normally. same 2 type of ram i am using one is green and another one is blue.
FYI : If you're looking to upgrade the CPU of the compaq presario series. You need to have an updated bios or the motherboard won't support the cpu.I had never updated my bios so when I installed a new i5 CPU, my laptop never booted up. I thought maybe i forgot to plug some cable or something but none of the cable were unplugged it was just the motherboard not supporting the new processor. Also to update your BIOS you need to have x64 bit Windows 7 (everything expect for 7 home- new bios update doesn't support 7 home) so if you're using 10 or some other OS then be ready to go back to window 7. Then with the new updated bios, motherboard will take the new processor.
Hi so when i turn my laptop i have the same model it shows just 1 blue light but its supposed to show 2 more (3 in total) and its running but the display is off, do u have any solutions? And yes the screen is broken but after i keep doing some solutions it turns on i connect it to my monitor and use it but it just doesnt show the display most of the time
@Yildrim Jalal after the cpu was installed and turned on, the laptop turned off and it didn't last too much , curiously it did let me install windows 10
