Everything went well thanks to your guide! But the game freezes everytime I encounter something. Tried to change the path in WineSkin to NewGame.exe bc I went with the old version like you, but even though I find the file, I can’t use it. Looks like it did right after unzipping again... Maybe I just delete everything and start all over…..
I managed to use the new game file but it isn’t working for me. Still freezing on encounters tho. Can’t find anything on their discord and can’t start a ticket bc they don’t update the game anymore. Seems like I need to play another game…

It you got the files from this video or discord, you are fine. The app is not digitally signed because I am getting quoted hundreds of dollars a year to do. So computers think that it is suspicious. You are more than welcome to run the zip under VirusTotal to check it out yourself, but it is safe.
Got it working and everything, but for some reason everytime I leave a battle or a house or something it takes like 10 seconds to go to the next screen
everything seemed to work fine untill the very final step of actually opening the game, i get an error which says "error initializing SDL: CoCreateInstance () DirectX error 0x80040154". any ideas?
Hi, I did everything you said in the video and was able to run the game, until I choose my first starter in Remix mode. The games crashes as soon as I do my first battle with the rival, saying there is 4 arguments on « script error in event 21 (coords 12,14), map 552 (Oak’s Lab _Hoenn) I don’t know if it is because of Remix mode or not… Thanks!
When choosing a custom pokemon/starter, when asked if you want to Skip Intro select Yes and it will fix the crash. This is a bug we are aware of and going to fix in the future.

Potentially. I remember trying some other fan made games, and it worked just fine. But others, I had to install differently on Steam Deck to make it work.
Are you sure it isn't adding it? By default the game is not categorized so that doesn't seem like an issue, but you should see Game.exe on your library list.
I installed the pre-loaded version, but when i get to Mt. moon, i have black landscape and was able to see only people in the cave. What can be the problem?

Hey, I need help, I tried to import sprite packs(for base sprites) and I put it in graphics, loaded the game, nothing happens the game didn't tell you if the already existing sprites will get replaced or not. I tried the same like fusion(I put it in Battlers) folder. It still doesn't work. All I wanted to do is extract all of the joke sprites, and that's it. Do you know why or how to fix it?
Well, first thing, you dont need sprite packs at all. The game will automatically install the latest sprites as you encounter pokemon. Sprite packs are only if you have internet issues. Also depends which sprite pack you used. If you moved CustomBattlers to the Graphics folder, you are good. When you open the game, it will detect imported sprites. If you used the preloaded sprites, it won't give you a message because it is setup for you already.
