Thanks for the review. I like the bike as well. However, I have broken (3) spokes on the rear wheel in 2 months. The seat post has dropped repeatedly while riding. I torqued to spec and added carbon paste and it is still dropping.
Thanks for this review. I just bought the Fuji Transonic 2.1 disk 2021 yesterday. Seemed to be the most bang for my buck after researching. Complete Ultegra, 28 tires. Aluminum wheels. I was comparing it to the Giant TCR Advanced Pro Compact 2 and Advanced Pro 1+. Would like to know your thoughts. Thank you! Hard to find reviews of it. I did replace the seat as well. Shaved 20 minutes off of my ride this a.m. vs. the hybrid I was riding. My hands kept falling asleep. Brand new to road bikes. Can't run anymore, knees and back are toast.
Thank you for mentioning the O Ring! I just changed my battery but did not have the O ring set correctly. There were no watts displaying on my head unit and I had no idea why until I watched this video.
Great video! was trying to explain to my Girl Friend how to do this on her crank and figured "why don't I search youtube!" -- you put your bike on it's side to make it easier (let gravity do the work) and explained about the o-ring! I couldn't have explained it better myself!
Changing the battery on my stages DRIVES ME NUTS. I usually have to spend an hour putting it in and out until I can get it to connect. WORST battery compartment in the history of battery compartments.
I have this bike, upgraded with carbon 40 mm wheels. I rode 2 years in the flats of TX, super comfortable never used the brakes, good aerodynamic and super fast in the flats. Now I moved to Ecuador with a lot of steep hills, definitely a versatile bike, super light to climb, I don't like the downhills though, seems the brakes don't have a quick response and after long downhills I got some pain on my low back. I had before the SL and I did not have those issues. I guess , need to get both bikes to not complain lol
Yes some are not removable especially on stock bike valve stems. Do a search on youtube and there is a way to still remove the core stem, but i heard that sometimes when you do that the little nut on top of the stem sometimes breaks or doesn't go back on correctly and then you need a new tube. I'm just waiting to get a flat then change out my tube to a removable presta valve tube. Not worth the effort.
So all the spokes should be the same tension value using the tension meter? How do you know what tension is recommended, ie; 29" boost mountain bike off centered carbon wheel?
I still ride a Transonic 2.8 that I bought back in 2016 and I love it! Upgraded to Red etap last year. Thought about upgrading since Fuji redesigned the Transonic in 2019, but decided against it. Instead, I’m about to break it down to install a SRAM Force etap AXS crank and groupset. How do you like your Transonic?
