02:40, correction Superman in origin is an otherworldly being who was raised instinctively as a human being, meaning he's rural American first and an alien by the way.
I think the colors for the suit should be bright like technicolor bright to contrast to the darkness of Batman. The whole film should look like a technicolor 40s film like Arabian Nights.
Yea the action was good, apart from the fact that every dialogue seemed AI generated and somehow that little padawan was able to duel way longer with the "sith" then 4 fully trained jedi knights.. The storywriters dont give a f abt the previous lore or if their series even fits the slightest into the star wars universe as long as they can push their woke agenda.. But atleast we returned to lightsabers acutally being deadly, thought we'd remain with glowing bats 😂
Was hoping for a Modern day Superman. But Nope! We getting outdated and clown work at its best. Gunn has had nothing but flops, other than GOTG movies. Them were off the backs of other MCU movies. We getting Supes in hoocie daddy shorts 😆. Ppl keep talking about Synder and giving him crap. But had his own vision. Gunn is bringing MCU vibes all over this thing. But i better not hear one word or blaming fans for not supporting or seeing this movie. Cause idk why, but i feel like this movie about to get the female Ghostbusters movie treatment. But to each its own.
I kind of agree..but we need Superman to be a hit ... this needs to do well for the entire genre, for Star Wars and other TOTAL FAILURES of the MCU since 2019.
Agreed. We need this film to be good and Gunn to suceed for the GENRE to continue, though. DC needs a hit, we need a hit and movies in general NEEDS A POSITIVE OUTCOME.
He didnt even mention cortosis lmao.. the story is straight up ass, just disney using starwars to prove how woke friendly they are.. If you like that series just bc u bliendly love everything tagged as statwars you should get a grip 😂
The only issue I see is the suit being baggy, but I'm hoping they will fix it in post. Honestly I like the collar, the cape, the lines, and I don't mind the underwear, though I would have preferred just a belt. Like I've seen people hate things that other people love and vice versa, you will never be able to please everyone. So as long as the movie is good and they get the character right, the suit will be perfectly fine.
I’m digging it now. I really like the color palette. His suit resembles what people wear when racing sport motorcycles. And the red shorts are probably loose because he’s packing serious heat and needs the extra room.😂 As for Lois Lane, she looks freaking fantastic!!😃 FINALLY, a Lois Lane that looks like Lois Lane! Love her in the purple.
Just too baggy in this, but it can be fixed in post. We just NEED A GOOD FILM WITH NO GOOFY James Gunn crap...that's what people are most concerned about.
And we live in a very OPPOSITE, NARCISSIST, PETULANT, GREEDY, SELFISH, ACTIVIST ANGER time. Its a Very jaded and angry time of life. Superman NEES TO BE A HIT. And NOT with the modern audience nonsense, either.
Personally I’m just so tired of everything in the comic book fandom being so hated we hate trailers, characters looks, directors, universes everything is so nick picked now that I just want a win from both dc and marvel
Why would a design from the 30s look better in the 70s than it does now? Plus, Superman is expressedly NOT supposed to be a symbol of power, at least not the "tough guy" type, where he wants everyone to see how jacked he is. And what? Be intimidated? Clark could bench press the planet but he saves cats out of trees and fixes kids' bike tires just as urgently as stopping Darkseid. He leads with his heart, not his balls. All the best action movie heroes are "normal" people who are reluctantly proven to be the toughest person in the room. Why should Supes be any different? We all know he's the baddest ass around, but if he acts like it *coughSnydercough* than what is there to root for?
@@roberttrevino62800 you just described the vast majority of male superheroes, as well as some females. Clark isn't the Hulk, though, and this isn't about size, it's about the fit and intention of his costume
@midwestkrazy83turner50 It is. There was was a point I thought the negativity was winning but then I quickly realised negativity is always louder than the opposite. Alos on platforms like tiktok and X I'm seeing positive tweets and ones clowning the negativity getting alot more likes, like negative posted get maybe 3,000 at most with positive getting around 25,000 even more sometimes. Makes you realise the negative side is a very specific corner and algorithm
@@BusterBarnes lol. It's the internet! Doesn't mean ppl gonna come outta pocket for this movie dog! I get what you saying. But I don't believe you and I know for a fact it's a spilt down the middle. But when the movie doesn't sell and if it does, that's Ok. Doesn't mean ppl are gonna support it financially. But like I'm a keep saying. Keep that false hope alive🤭
The comparisons to the Snyder suit is a bit tiring, honestly. The reason it appeared to be more fitted was because the reflective textiles and deliberate patterns hid any imperfections. That and the so-called muscular wasn’t all Cavill in the later suits the airbrushed muscles were more obvious. Tyler Hoechlin’s suit has similar padding and very obvious airbrushed muscles especially the torso. All that aside, I can’t believe there is this much discourse over such simple and clearly pre-editing elements like OMG look a wrinkle! I’ve never seen Marvel fans go this unhinged about pre film behind the scenes photos. The leaked set photos from the Deadpool/Wolverine film showed a lot of the same issues like their suits looked “cheap” and wrinkled and painfully cartoonish. But nobody cared. Yet the comments sections internet wide about Gunn’s Superman is just nothing but complaining and fighting and apparently everyone is a professional costumer now. Let the damn film breathe.
It looks more like the undersuit of an actual spacesuit than the skin-tight look we’re accustomed to. I think if he was bigger or it fit more snug it would look better. I love the color, and the not-actually-an-S logo is growing on me thanks to the new cartoon. I wonder how padded the new suit is. Edit: Mr. Terrific looks fantastic!
@@midwestkrazy83turner50 I rather people like you not go see it, go watch some more of that dark and depressed superman who isn't coming back #SUPERMAN
@@ebomurray3151 i know he isn't coming back. You seem to forget, that MOS is what would really happen in the world if Superman existed. I know it's gone. But goofy, clown a## Gunn, ain't no upgrade from Synder neither! Gunn movies all have been flops and his GOTG movies are off the back of the other MCU movies. So again? WTF merit does Gunn buma## have to be making this? Cause Kevin Fiege's vision helped Gunn out with his add on with GOTG. He didn't create the MCU! That's all Kevin. So he shouldn't even be in no position that he is in. Keep that false hope tho, that he's gonna change the DCU 🤭🤭🤭
@midwestkrazy83turner50 It's always been about the audience and critics, critically James's movies have been received as good. Listen just trust Gunn isn't leading us astray all yall have to do is wait til July 2025. Can you do that?
I think it's important to remember we're seeing an unfinished suit. We won't know what it really looks like until the movie comes out. Just like every superhero suit in any movie. There is "excess material" so the actor can move! They make everything look better in post-production. Look at behind the scenes images of some of black Panthers costume in Civil war. It looks baggy and way thicker than it does in the movie.
Yeah I went back and looked at the Black Panther suit. It was no wear near as baggy as this Superman suit. There is absolute zero reason to make a shitty fitting costume just to force the cgi people to add vfx duct tape to it in post.
What MCU lines do you all keep comparing too?? Quit saying this. Most MCU suits are actually dope and well designed modern grounded representations. But if you all actually want goofy spandex have at it. If it were me I would have designed it similar to the spiderman homecoming suit. Simple fitted yet modern. A bad suit is just a bad suit.
@@jtrillz3953 I know what you are trying to say but give examples. You all keep saying this like you all just want 70s spandex or something. Unless you all just don't pay attention the majority of MCU suits aren't like this. They are actually well though out and designed. This whole "lines" thing is just bias here say.
The whole thing looks great except the lightsaber fighting, I wish they could get ashokas more acrobatic style instead of the dreaded Disney baseball bat swings. I can maybe give a pass to Anakin for that since he’s fighting like more like Vader in this, and he goes for the much more aggressive swinging style. But it would’ve been much cooler to see the two different styles or at least some hint of the dope prequel fighting where they look like swordsman trying to get an advantage rather than a Latino mom having to punish her kids so she grabs the broom.
I want to know if there is a version of this episode in the Disney archives where Filoni had Anakin walking back through the fog in the full Vader suit rather than just doing a quick flash.
Like number 1 sabber , the other two you picked are shit , vader , anakin, count duoko , maul have way better light sabber. How the he'll you missed them
