Automotive channel with focus on 80-90s car models and to provide more content from the swedish car/tuning culture. My own Ford Sierra Turbo car is going to be shown here on the channel and what it evolves into.
@@carculturesweden2668 I have the same CLX from 91, up to do the complete restoring of the car. :D Maybe even to go for a millington engine or ecoboost..
Im planning on turboing my sierra is 2.0 and i see you replaced the fuel Lines with fuel hose. What mm should i go for? Can i just change from fuel Lines to hose without problem?
How to know which gearbox I have? Know that in sierras put 2 gearboxes mt75 and type 9 so I have sierra mk2 2.0 dohc 8v and i don't know which quickshifter mod I need to took
Same plans for me, just took a head off the engine to change the camshaft😂, now the plan is to turbo it. Here in estonia we don't have e85, what do you think about running similar setup on 98octane. Engine is 2.0is 85kw NRB
Ah well you probably won't be able to achieve the same HP reliably. E85 makes wonders when it comes to turboing your car if the tuner is good :) but a similar setup was reliable for me as long you remember to re-torque the head with the ARP bolts.
Here in the UK we Don't use the ARP stud and nut kit on the Cosworth engines as it pulls and cracks the blocks especially on the 205 block and even on the 200 block. I personally use the std victor reinz headbolts which are stretch type. Nice build pinto turbo's are great fun and with a cosworth 2wd bottom end can be tuned for big bhp 👍
To be honest, thats not an engine i would put my money in turbo'eing. Rather go with a Pinto way easier and reliable. Few have put turbos on those engines here in Sweden but they blow up after a short while.
Hi!, awesome build!, I'm from Argentina and we also have SIERRA's over here. I'm wondering if you have some information on SIERRA's power steering rack repair, of if you know who sells replacement parts for it. Thank you in advance!.
Dani Faragó thx! The wheels is old ones from germany if not mistaken "Powertech BCW 9x16 ET15 4-100/108" the Sierra i bought from a friend that got it used from a car dealer.
nikolai therkelsen hey! I bought the bosch motorsport ignition coil from Ebay, the Siemens deka injectors is fitting just perfect in standard fuel rail with original clips :)
nice thanks i saw that you had a plug n play stick¨for the ecu made do you think they are able to make the same thing just for a megasquirt ecu ? :) and what was it you did with the wiring harness did u buy a brand new or ? and if where haha :)
Aljaž Žižek thanks, its a MLR quickshift for type 9 gearbox. It can be found on Ebay. Im going for MT75 gearbox soon since the Type-9 cant hold up for the power very well.
CarCultureSweden ah, i was hoping that you already have MT75 😋 And i agree MT75 can hold a little more torque (around 300Nm) and it's 7kg lighter than type9 ... Anyway, tnx for the answer & keep up the good work.
Andries Geddes well if you run like 95/98 octane i dont think i would pull above 1 bar but i dont know for certain its about fuel and timing, since i run E85 its more forgiving to run higher boost if i want to.
Andries Geddes alright :) if possible try to stay away from the Type-9 gearbox, im about to change mine out it started whining so its on its last breath, go for MT75 or Rx8 gearbox if possible :) Cosworth rods and pistons is recommended to put in the 205 Pinto block to handle power and abuse more.
