Plug and play if you already have shift paddles. I had to get wiring, install, and code because mine did not come with paddles from the factory.

@@rickhoffman7656 The link I provided is all I needed. I have seen some models need additional modifications/wiring under the glovebox but mine did not. Kie’s has a tutorial on how to check if you need that mod. 👍🏽

Original was dual, replaced it with single so I had to code out the srs light by with Esys.

@@seeker6999​​⁠These are safety features enforced by each manufacturer / model respectively. Single/dual, denotes the airbag inflation / velocity based on the detected severity of the crash. Single only inflates at one intensity while dual can inflate at two. I’m not sure about triple but it will likely follow the same reasoning.

@@seeker6999Even if it ‘looks’ the same, the connectors will determine if it’s dual or single. You may check your VIN with the dealer to verify airbag type and match it up. 👍🏽

Is this Ian aftermarket system or OEM head unit? Is this the only thing that does not work? Is this happening in Apple carplay? All music apps? USB, Radio, etc? Only time I’ve seen that happen is when the song playing is the only one currently in the playlist or a single selected song. Try and straight press on the scroll wheel and then try to scroll. Reboot your phone. Different lightning cable or disconnect and reconnect wireless…

@@visiongarage277 It is the OEM head unit. When i listen to the radio i can scroll trough the radio stations with the scroll. I do not have apple carplay, i listen trough bluetooth with spotify, i have tried to push the scroll in and scroll at the same time and it does not work. I will try do disconnect and see if that works. thx

I don’t have any experience with that platform, but I’ve seen plenty drivers upgrade their G series steering wheel. Reach out to a tuner company that sells them or research online. 👍🏽

For the paddle shifters, yes, plug and play. The main thing is the airbag. If you have a German spec or US spec airbag. German spec has a single velocity when deployed, US spec has 2 velocities depending on impact levels detected by the system. You’ll want to match that up for plug and play. If airbag origin is mismatched, you will need to have it coded.

@@visiongarage277 got a USA dual airbag. I believe the m sport steering is manual. But since my old steering bag doesn’t have any shifters. It should work?

@@visiongarage277 Do you have the instructions for ESYS? I have bimmercode, but I guess it doesn't allow me to get into expert mode for the ACSM coding. I have the codes I need, just curious which instructions you used.

I don’t know. I doubt it, with it being a completely different platform and seeing BMW made drastic changes to the interior. Doesn’t hurt to check with BMW or a reputable shop though. 👊🏽

Yes everything will still work. You can always add paddle shifters and code them. I think Kies did a vid on how to verify if your car is equipped with the paddle shifter wiring… it is under the passenger dash.

There are some people who can connect and do coding for you, however I don’t. I can send you some links to get started.

Yes cruise control still works. Just about anything your new steering wheel comes with can be coded even if it was not on your previous steering wheel… As long as the features and components are all installed; like you would need sensors for adaptive cruise control etc. Hope that makes sense…

I’m not exactly sure. Typically, exact replacement parts do not have to be coded, they are plug and play. If you are replacing paddle shift / steering vibration for the same, I can’t imagine that it would require coding. Usually there is a fuss for foreign parts. I could be wrong though. Sorry I can’t provide a definitive answer on that. Best of luck to you though. 👍

How did it go? I am planning to retrofit msports steering wheel from a 2017 model to my 2014 model with the same acc, vibration and paddle shifter functions. Any help would be appreciated!

@@gavinlin6636 Sorry for the late reply. I installed aftermarket F80 paddle shifters shortly after and was able to code it with BimmerCode. You just mark the paddles 'active' in the 'Front Electronic Module' FEM_01

Mine are specifically for Pre LCI. Not having LCI I cannot confirm if it is the connectors or coding etc that would prevent compatibility. I’ve included a few links that may help you figure out what upgrade is compatible for your car. Also, you can typically ask the vendor to help make the correct selection before your purchase. Hey man. I didn’t get an error when I installed mine, but I did code for LEDs with Bimmercode to make sure I didn’t run into any issues further down the road.

Hey man, I know we spoke on IG but wanted to post here for those that want to know. I coded the eyebrows to come on with the parking lights using BimmerCode. The eyebrows turn on by default when the headlights are fully operational.

Thanks bro. I can't speak to that as I use an iPhone w/Apple Car Play. But I would think with it being an Android system, any native apps would work just as well if not better. I know this unit has been replaced/upgraded since I purchased it so quite a few things have likely changed or improved.👍

@@MultiChico12 That is correct. I purchased the dongle and Apple car play (EPlay) together as a package. Then you use your stereo on a WiFi connection to download the EPlay software and configure. Whatever car play system you purchase should come with all that is needed and instructions. Hope that helps bro! 👍

Hey man. The insides of the spokes are painted gunmetal w/clear coat and the faces of the spokes are brushed aluminum w/clear coat. These look good on any color imho. Love them! 👍🏽

Thanks brother. 👊🏽 Yes, you have left / right and up / down adjustment available for each via Phillips screwdriver. I just faced the broad side of a building and leveled them out, then test drove for visibility till I got it the way I wanted. They were pretty whacked when I installed them. 👍🏽

These are reps, but most F80 / F30 wheels are interchangeable across the platforms. Mainly depends on fitment, aggressiveness of the wheel and tire, brakes, etc. Same bolt pattern 5x120 / 72.56mm cb

Thanks man! The LEDs bulbs I purchased I can't really recommend because I had to dremel out the retainer clips to get them to fit. They perform well, but based on fitment, I would advise looking elsewhere. There have been some on here that suggest NINEO H7 LED Bulbs as good performing and proper fitment. Check Amazon.com for them and be sure to filter the results by your exact vehicle, trim and current headlight (halogen or LCI) Hope this helps. 👍

If you are talking about new parts companies, just about any company that sells BMW parts. You are not hardly going to find one already painted that won't need to be repaired or painted again however. I personally got mine from eBay and fitment, quality, construction, etc. is fine.
