Demolition Lovers is very synonymous to Rites of Spring's End on End, both are the last songs of their respective albums. There are also similarities with the song structure and feel with abrupt tempo changes and vocals on the verge of breakup

Guys! He doesn't feel it. There's not point to keep recommending radiohead, I knew it since he stopped 15 times Paranoid Android. Usually when you are more mental sort of type than sensorial or sensitive. You don' really get into Pink Floyd, Radiohead. If for him this is slow music, imagine him listening Sigur Ros, Massive Attack, Cigarrettes After Sex...anyway. it's good to get out from your comfort zone. Cheers for the content. 👍

I knew someone who had cancer, but they noticed too late and was stage 3, so they did decide to let it kill them. Also know someone else who had it and luckly caught it early and got treated and still alive. Also had a dog who had it, and the fact that i actually discovered it by a tumor in the mouth made it harder on me. Had to put her down right before vacation. I legit cried almost every day for months.

A theory I personally subscribe to, originally proposed by Windegoon, is that the story is told mostly out of order from two perspectives. The Patient and a spirit, we'll call him The Parader, watching it and both mocking the patient and reflecting. Hense The End and Dead are the Patient and the Parader both responding to the news of his diagnosis. A song that starts on harder more metal inspired chords and instruments are from The Parader's perspective and the more simple, often acoustic openings are The Patient's perspective. The exceptions are Teenagers and Mama, being the reverse, since they explain The Patient and Parader's origins respectively. The reversal on the songs that explain their back stories serves to highlight the similarities between both, young men who lost their lives unceremoniously and pointlessly from things out of their control.

I grew up during the Thriller/Bad-era, and those albums are such classics, but for me personally this is Michael at his best, so many messages he is sending out on this one. Still listen to it from time to time.

Fitter Happier is the only track in all of Radiohead that I routinely skip. It’s interesting the first time…then it’s just a bit tedious. Greatest band of all time, and this track is poignant, but not enjoyable.

No synths....mostly Lindsey's guitar and a bit from Christine's keys. Fleetwood just used guitar, bass, drums, keys, and vocals 3 different lead singers and writers.

Climbing up the walls is about mental health, anxiety (hence all the feedback in the tones of the music.) You absolutely nailed it just by your intuition "if this was about being uneasy, they nailed it" hahaha. Right? Better in the dark... i'm inside your skull, climbing up the walls ... damned powerful song

A lot of these Radiohead lyrics that sound.so mysterious... I think they're that way because they point into looking into ones own mind. Like in zen they say to get you to notice the moon, the master can point at it -- but the fool mistakes the finger for the moon. Unlike a lot of more disposable music, Radiohead's lyrics and the music cannot be divorced either; so for example in weird fishes you're drowning in that sea of sound, the undulations of those arpeggios, and the lyrics point to the subconscious (the deep waters where weird fishes swim, metaphorically speaking)

Karma Police meaning... The title lyric originates from an inside joke; the members of Radiohead would threaten to call the "karma police" if someone did something bad. Yorke explained that the song was about stress and "having people looking at you in that certain [malicious] way".

OK Computer is a masterpiece. It has no sense if i is "the greatest" or not. It's a masterpiece anyway. The work they did with those three guitars is simply beautiful, but what it makes it a masterpiece are two things: First, the sound. The sound of this album was something that felt that came from nowhere in the 90's. None band or artist sound like this at that time. Like the song with "Alien" in its name, the sound of this album is from another planet or from a far future. And the second thing that makes this album what it is, are the meaning of the lyrics, that talk about the terrifying future and modern life, that every year feels more accurate. This album was a creepy premonitory of many things that are happening right now with the cold life with social networks and technology controlling all of our life, in a cold society that makes you feel small. You have 800 followers on Instagram but you are alone. The jobs that consume people's life. The money. Capitalism. Consumerism. And just remember, 1997 was a year when Computers, internet and related were just beginning, and only few big enterprises has limited access to it. It was far away of being in the life of most people, and far away of being easy to use and access. They were talking about the future. The terrifying future. And they were right.
