Cory & I love to ride our bikes and travel all over the place to try new trails. Join us on our epic and sometimes wacky mountain bike adventures. You won't regret it.
@dukeofmtb I'd say it's worth it though! I have a Go Pro 10 and the raw videos look great, but after a 32gb file turns into a 5gb through capcut, it just doesn't look as great. It sounds like I need to try a paid program.
Just wanted to say it was great meeting the both of you at Stony Creek! Thanks for being so cool and it was a lot of fun hitting the jump line with you a few times.
Hi Ed Thanks for this which is very helpful. I have a problem that I have just fitted Magura MT5's and they worked ok after shortening the hoses etc. I then put in new pads on the front, as I have similar on my other bike, by pushing back the originals with a Park Pad Tool. The pistons are stuck in and pumping the lever does nothing.Have you any suggestions ?
@@call.of.duty.destroyerr It's hard to tell in the video, but her speed was fine. If she just looked ahead instead of straight down, she would have matched the angle of the landing instead of going nose first.
@@dukeofmtb I watch all ur videos starting from when you came to Pittsburgh a couple years ago and visited my home jumps of north park. I love the videos!
@MR-lq4hp She usually just wears slim fitting joggers from Costco, or youth pants for boys. She has some boys cargo camo pants that people ask about all the time too. She even dyed one red. She's really good at finding cool pants that are good for biking. It's crazy how often other women ask about all her different pants. She has a gift. Lol 😆
I did this trail today. The best part was all downhill flowy sections. Climbs were punchy and rooty. Walked some of the steep climbs. The trail is in a way better shape than I am 😂. Will ride it again.
@RomeyRome413 It's like a different planet out in Colorado. Don't forget to acclimate for 2 to 3 days before doing some hiking up at the national park. Altitude sickness is no joke.
@@dukeofmtb I appreciate your kind words. My time has come and gone. I am 72 and only ride semi mellow trails in the woods. Enjoy your time and stay SAFE!!!!! Remember if you're not feeling it, then you have to pass on it until you do.
@LUCKYSOB Nah. Just got older. I used to burn the candle from both ends, sleep 5 hours a night, spend all my time in front of the computer editing when I wasn't at work, and then spend zero time with the wife. I literally had no life. Got caught up in the idea of having to be productive with every waking moment of my life, then I ended up in the ER 3 times in a short span towards the end of 2023/beginning of 2024. Now I'm just taking it easy. After work, I hang out with the wife a little and go to sleep at 9. The little time I have left is for working out, the van build, and home maintenance. That leaves zero room for the channel right now. Breaks my heart, but I really need to take care of myself. Hoping one day I can start up again.
@stevenkilleen8149 Nice! We still gotta go back to Mountain Creek. Probably early next season. Only been there once. Fort Hill is pretty intimidating. 😱 That first gap....
I'm familiar as F around all things bike mechanics, but I LOATHE bleeding brakes. Genuinely, I used to drive a 60 mile round trip to get my mechanic to do them as he was OCD with it all, saved me the swearing and frustration. I moved out of the area, so I had little choice but to now do my own. Last time (full bleed on my MT7's) has a massive pain in the rear, I hate it Ssssssooooo much! I've never seen the reverse / vacuum method before but I've just done front and rear and off to BPW tomorrow so I'll report back how good the process is - thanks Ed! On the flip side, I had to bleed the brakes in my sons Hope M4's yesterday, and that was ooooohhhhh so much more complex. Doesn't help the reservoirs aren't even level despite moving the lever! I can never go back to Hope, sorry!
@@danielb8373Unfortunately, this bike park closed a few years back. Honestly, the assessment wasn't really necessary. I think they were being overly cautious for insurance reasons.
This is my favorite backpacking trail of all time, the views off chimney top are incredible. Every time I hike it I think about how insane the mountain bikers have to be. Someday I’ll try it! Glad WV is getting some love. WV has some of the best mountain biking I’ve ever experienced, and you just happened to choose the most gnarly one! Sweet vid!
@owenfouts2494 Thanks! This was one of our most memorable rides ever. As difficult as the trail was, we look back at the experience fondly. Still talk about it all the time. 😊
@FreshwaterFables You should give it a shot if you're into mountain bike jumps and trail riding. It's fun, albeit a little scary if you've never tried anything like it before.
@wisemysticaltree72 This is the video that helped me figure it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tMPPGQCT8mE.htmlsi=yQFwz-JzfORniJ-A Focus on doing the meerkat thing that he mentions. Just getting the front wheel up and getting the bar towards your hips first. Don't worry about getting air yet. Once you can do the meerkat thing, do it explosively, and you'll start getting some air. After that, it's only a matter of helping the rear wheel follow the front up by scooping up the pedals. You can only go as high as the front, so really focus on the meerkat thing. Best of luck. 👍
Hello my mt8 the lever pull is ok one ride next ride i have way too much pull next ride average...never the same should i get a bleed kit and do those steps ! Its weird its never the same this is on rear brake i had them bleed 400km ago and starting acting like this thank you for input 😊
Thanks for the update. I look forward to seeing the van build and additional videos. Your past videos are edited very well and I can see the effort and time you put into it. Very much appreciate you guy's and look forward to seeing you on the trails one day.
Hey, great video! Do you have any advice for a Shigura setup? The Shimano bleeding kit only has a cup to sit on the lever for the bleeding process, are there any syringes that work with shimano levers?
@@Apollo_Y Unfortunately, no. I don't think the Shimano lever is built to be vacuum bled. Looks like the bubble bleed with the funnel is the only option. Google is your friend if youre not familiar with it. Best of luck. 👍
