Another great video. I tried to progress yesterday and ate it 3 times. Sore and bruised today. Those are my first wrecks on a mountain bike. Made me realize two things. My wifes e-bike is heavy and I suck at riding.
Great video y'all! I live right behind stony and just love doing the whole thing starting from the west branch parking lot. The pines is like dessert after a feast!! "JUST S🔚 IT" !!!
Awesome video! I live about 45 minutes from there. Back nine is my favorite trail. I could session those jumps all day!. It's be sweet to ride with you two one day
Nice breakdown on all the good stuff at Stony! Not sure if you ever get out to Riverbends, but they added a 2nd line in the newest area that has a nice little jump line leading into a legit wooden drop (you know how rare those are in our area). Probably not video worthy but definitely worth checking out!
Good riding. Especially surprised by her. I was just here for the first time a few days ago. Watching you two I need to step up my game. I could clear those pine jumps ok but that was about all I did of the “features.”
Thanks! You should watch some of the other stuff she's hit. She's way braver than me. 😅 You'll be clearing the Back Nine jumps too in no time. We spent a lot of time practicing on the Pines jumps before we could clear the Back Nine jumps. 😁👍
Nice video! I haven't been to stony yet but was planning on spending a few hours to get acquainted with it, but it looks like I'll need to spend a whole day instead. Is the whole Park ridable within a few hours? I've only been to dte and managed to ride the whole loop of the 4 trails within 3 hours. Just getting into mtb.
The loops at Stony are a bit more compact, and the features are closer together and not as spread out as DTE. You're going to enjoy it. It's great trail system. 😁👍
Anyone know how the trail is leading up to the those Pines table tops? I havent been out to Stony in a while and curious how it would be bringing a dirtjumper to those table tops
There's a shortcut to the right at the entrance of The Pines that skips everything and leads straight to the jumps. A lot of folks like to park at the Sheldon Road entrance to Stony since it's super close.
Hello I haven’t commented in a while I just wanted an opinion from fellow mountain bikers. Every year I do a race in Marquette called the ore to shore which is a lot of uphill I recently bought a trek x caliber 9 xc bike I was just wondering if the bike can handle some trail features such as medium sized jumps, drops ,and rocks in addition to just going long distances and uphill
That was my first real bike. It definitely can. I wouldn't be hitting drops bigger than 4 or 5 feet with it though. Medium sized jumps are no problem either. It's a pretty good XC bike. Have fun and stay safe. 😁👍
Trek has the rail FS, that's has the same geometry as their downhill bike's. Specialized also has a long travel Turbo. Didn't you ride the bike park Ride Kanuga when you were in NC? They rent Long Travel Rails
The way you guy's complain about climbing, you should get e-bikes. Cory needs one with a throttle. I remember Stoney being mostly flat. So to complain about climbing there, is pretty sad. Why don't you guys move to moto Cross....more chances for more injuries 😵💫🤪
