Pretty sure you used about 50× more washing soda than you need lol. I think you only need a a few table spoons or a half cup at most. Did it work to get the rust off?
Haha definitely! But it's cheap and that way I didn't have to lay awake at night wondering "was that enough?". It worked really well! I have more shorts on my channel about it
The first folding knife I made I used only files and a hand drill! I recommend getting good layout fluid so that your scribe lines don't rub off when you reposition the parts. Also get some good files and a file card to clean the chips out
Pennies prior to 1982 were 95% copper, half way through 82 and after they're 5% copper plated onto a zinc blank. Copper pennies are now worth two and a half cents in scrap.

you can! the only problem is that a lot of new battery changers know when they are attached to a battery and only produce power then. I run my set up off a battery and then attach a charger to the battery.
