if your interested in buying a custom zippo just DM my Instagram @clarkstrang and we can work something out. all zippo's are made to order. i don't really know what else to say, its all there in the title. i did want to use this description to explain where i have been for the past two years. the short answer is "collage". the long answer is that i have spent the past two years at Alfred State getting a degree in Machine Tool Technology.

@clarkstrang i know this is an older video so im not entirely expecting a response. However, ive recently been tasked with repairing a zippo for a friend. His marine core emblem fell off and he asked me if i could super glue it on for him. I can and will if i dont have a better option. But i think id like to try my hand at brazing it back on. Are there any tips that you could give a first timer on what kind of solder i should get and if ill need to be concerned with what type of metal the emblem is? I think its brass to a stainless zippo

I've been using standard plumbing solder for years and I've never had an emblem fall off. Make sure you get a past flux with your solder, it should be sold right next to the solder. I'd also recommend practicing on some flat copper or brass, just to get a sense of how the solder flows.

@clarkstrang Hey, thanks again for the tips. I finally had some time to get into it and it worked flawlessly. The plubing solder did the trick and my buddy is very happy with his lixed lighter. Definately planning on getting into doing this a lot more as a hobby.

a timex chronograph, that i polished the nickle plating off of. its a great watch and really inexpensive.

I pipe soldered it on. Silver solder is stronger but I've never had a problem my way

Oh jack you have no idea! I didn’t wear shoes the entire video, and the table I was casing on had gasoline all over it from me trying to clean a carburetor. The fact I survived at all is a testament to my skill
