My granddaughter is called Georgiana. I can now sing this to her. A beautiful song for my beautiful grandchild. Thank you. The Seekers produced some great music.
My mom would sing this to me before I went to sleep every night when I was little. It reminds me of a better time when I didn't know what my family had been going through.
I've just listened to the original version of something in your eyes by Richard Carpenter and Dusty Springfield and it's pure magic. I'd love to hear Tori Holub singing the same song with Richard's backing group. Now that would be perfection.
I was born and raised in Australia, now having lived in the UK for nearly 20 years. But I tell you what, this song doesn't half get the emotional juices going. I may have been gone from Australia for a long time but I still am a proud Aussie.
Analogue sound, no messing about, no auto tune, no synthesisers or drum machines or computerised bullshit. Just 3 proper musicians and one awesome girl with an amazing voice.
